Hey everyone! I'm back with season 2, episode 3 of Legend of Vox Machina!  NO WAY YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!  I know they were doing some major death flagging throughout this whole ep, but please tell me this isn't how we're ending this!!!!  I felt so bad for Vax in this one, we really get to see a bit more of his vulnerability.  Major death scene aside, it was interesting to see all the events leading up, like teaming up (kinda) with some other characters and having to part the water and whatnot.  I cannot wait to see what happens here!!!  Great ep - enjoy!  ~ MH

Don’t let those death flags hit you in the face Siri g the episode too much… 😅 Well, man, it looks like Vex’s player rolled a natural 1 or something.x So remember when I said you weren’t ready…? Now you know why… Also, Amazon dropped these three episodes at a time so this is where they left everyone for an entire week. Other things of note quickly: Grog seems to be enjoying using the dark magic sword a little too much… fish and death smells aren’t all that different… they both stink… Vex May have been cursed for pulling a Scanlan joke (Purvon???), and we’re playing the backstabbing game again, just a matter of who blinks first. And also… don’t mess with the beard. However, you can’t spell beats without bear… just sayin. 👀

Hahaha they're gonna take me right out if they fly in my face much harder!!! I can't imagine the kind of roll you have to get for that to happen. Yup, I definitely was not ready! Man, waiting week to week must have sucked! Yeah I'm not loving the sword. I guess both odors are pungent lol. Haha that's what you get for a Scanlan joke! OMG, bear is totally a part of beard :O

Seeing how the wise old Man was in a Lotus position and fought with bare hands, I'm guessing he was a High level Monk. I don't know if that's how Matt set it up in game but that's what it feels like. Expert Monks are no joke, even against a Barbarian.

Keyleth, Vax and Vex are all Half-Elves......Vex & Vax's father is a pureblood Elf (their mother, not shown, was human).

By the rules, it's actually tough for D&D 5e player characters to die....even if reduced to zero HP you have 3 "death saves" to pass and you're unconscious but stabilized. If you don't nat 1 any of those saves you're good so long as you pass 3 attempts before 3 fails if I'm remembering correctly. I play a very squishy bard so I do this a lot.

Right! Even from the few times I played as a brand new character it seemed tough. That's crazy! This was a big deal then!

So when these episodes came out, I’d completely forgotten Vex died here cause it’d been a while since I saw it in the campaign. But then like you said all the death flags and just feeling of dread through the episode made me remember. And it’s so effective, even though you can see it from a mile away it still made me cry. And this is what they left us on for a week! Cause they released these episodes in batches of three.

It was painful lol. The episode ends and I’m just watching the credits in my dark room, tears in my eyes thinking “I have to wait a freaking week?” XD
