Hey everyone! Here I am with Jojo Part 4, episode 2!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! Just when I thought we were entering a more bright, cute happy phase of the show (especially based on this new theme, whoa), enter a villain like Angelo, ICK!!!!! He's just too evil and disgusting!!! And another dog death, ugh!!! And on top of that, Josuke's Grandpa :O They are really hitting all different kinds of tones on this show so far this arc! It was awesome seeing Josuke think his way out of this and work together with Jotaro. It may have been a bizarre way to start off their friendship, but I'd love to see them grow closer as family! Can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

2023-07-04 00:38:15 Hi Hime :) The intro perfectly symbolizes this season, slice of life with a dose of murder. You were talking about a hidden brother of Jotaro, I said that you weren't very far since he's a hidden brother of Holly in the end lol. But Josuke is clearly among the top fan-favorite Jojos, along with Joseph, like father like son. Personally, if I make a top among the six jojos that exist in anime, I don't know if I place it second, third or fourth between Jotaro and Joseph. Jonathan coming in below those three, with jojo from part 5 coming in sixth and jojo from part 6 coming in first. For the history lesson, Joseph was 63 years old when he met Tomoko who was 21, and if Tomoko already had the character that we see in her, we understand that he could have fallen in love lol. Josuke's stand is called Crazy Diamond in reference to Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Josuke's design is partly inspired by Prince. He's almost a Star Platinum, which instead of stopping time, fixes things, which as Jotaro says, immediately shows Josuke's kindness. And since we were talking about appearance, you mentioned Knuckles from HxH, but you could have added Onigawara from Mob Psycho, because both are inspired by Josuke. Physically of course, but the "delinquent look" which is ultimately someone super nice is also what corresponds to the three. And to finish with Knuckle, his Japanese voice was by Wataru Tagaki, who in this season is Okuyasu Nijimura, whom you will meet in the next episodes. For Koichi and his voice being familiar, it is because it is Yuki Kaji, the voice of Todoroki and Eren. Funny little detail that I only pay attention to now but: Jotaro > Confront Avdol and discover the Stands > Confront Kakoyin who possesses someone thanks to his Stand Josuke > Confront Jotaro and discover the Stands > Confront Angelo who possesses someone thanks to his Stand A nice reminder, especially since we still have Josuke's mother and a policeman like at the start of Stardust Crusader with Holy. For the dogs, I want to reassure you, because it seems to me that it is the last one to be killed savagely like that. This part is often cited as a fan favourite, expect a lot of characters and good stuff, more developed stands too, Araki starting to break some rules he had put in place in Stardust, more how to use them and even more strategy in battles. Welcome to Diamond is Unbreakable or DiU for fans, the town of Morioh is welcoming, but holds secrets that you will discover over the course of this season.

Hi Spadeas! :) LOL that's just what I was thinking - cute with a big jarring dash of bizarre!! I wasn't too far off I guess haha, but wow!!!! Oh I'm really happy to hear that about Josuke, you know how much I love Joseph so I'm sure I'm gonna have a blast with Josuke! Wow, I'm excited that your ranking is that high for this Jojo!!! Yeah Tomoko has a big personality, I can see why it would be attractive! No kidding about his design being partly inspired by Prince!! I love the Pink Floyd reference, I thought about it after and was wondering if that was the reference! Ohhhhhh you're right about Onigawara!!!! So cool that Josuke inspired so many other characters! I can see the similarities! Ooooh can't wait for Knuckle's VA to show up! WHAT!!!! Koichi's VA is Eren's and Todoroki's?! No wonder he sounded familiar!!! OMG, those little details/similarities are pretty amazing actually! Thanks for all the info! Awww I'm SO glad to hear that about the dogs!!! It was brutal :/ I can't wait to see more of this part! Ooooh a town with mysterious secrets.....sounds like fun!!!

Leonie2003

Hello Melissa, welcome to Morioh, our crazy noisy bizarre town🥳🤗. Here you will spend the next 39 episodes and hopefully have a lot of fun with the new characters and stands. I have to admit that I didn't really like the first 4 episodes of Diamond is unbreakable the first time I watched it. I was still too shocked from the end of Part 3 that it took me a while to get used to the new characters and Josuke. But after 3 rewatches I can say that part 4 is for me way better than part 3. I was just as shocked as you when I found out about Jospeh's affair. That shattered my view of him a bit. But I still love him very much. Josuke is a really cute boy. If I lived in Morioh, I would like to be friends with Josuke and Koichi. Although I have to admit that I initially made fun of Josuke's hair too, it looks a bit like a steak to me (please don't kill me Josuke🫣). I said in the episodes with Alessi that there are characters that are even more cruel and disgusting. Angelo is one of them. His destiny as a stone serves him right.😝 The new op is super cool. It fits very well with that part of the arc of Part 4 and it's really called "Crazy noisy bizarre town". I also discovered my love for Savage Garden through Jojo. This Ed is so special to me. It will remain throughout the part, but what's special is that characters will be added as the part progresses. I find that quite creative. From Diamond is unbreakable onwards, the subtitles unfortunately get worse and worse. The stands get really stupid alternative names that actually have nothing to do with the actual reference anymore, which I think is a shame. But that's why you have me and the other loyal viewers who can tell you the references and other details. And by the way, the next arc is a 3 parter. You might be able to upload the episodes together like you did with the Vanilla Ice Arc. I look forward to spending more time with you in Morioh.😻

kamenriderhime

Hey Bellana!!! Morioh seems pretty bizarre so far! I'm really looking forward to getting to know everything more! I hear you, I can see how it would take a while to settle in! Wow, if Part 4 is even better than Part 3, then we're all in for a treat! :) I hear you about the affair, I was really REALLY thrown off by that! But he is still our Joseph I guess - I still love him too! Josuke seems sweet so far! LOL don't let Josuke hear you say that!!! It is....unique :P You were so right about Angelo being even worse, ugh! I LOVE the new OP and have been listening to it in the car nonstop!! :D That's so awesome, I'm thrilled to hear this is how you discovered Savage Garden! They were popular when I was little so hearing them here was a blast from the past! I can't wait to see what characters they add! I've been hearing that about the blatant name changes in the subtitles :( Sometimes I can pick out the real name by ear, but I'm glad I have you all to help with that!!!! :D Ooooh a three parter hmm? It would be a real shame if I had to watch one extra ep of a show I love so much this week ^_^ I'll see what I can do! Yay!!! Can't wait to enjoy this journey together!!! XD

2023-07-04 00:38:12 WELCOME TO MORIOH! This is my favorite Jojo Part hands down, so I'm glad we're finally here. First off if you notice in the OP, there's no 3D. That's because I thiiiiiiiink during the time of airing, the part of the studio that makes the OP visuals was working on Ninja Batman. So for Part 4 and 5 we're going to get Anime OPs instead. Honestly I think this is my favorite OP out of the ones we get in Part 4. I can't so no to a funky/groovy beat. o: Keep an eye and ear out while the OP plays, you might see some ch-ch-ch-changes. o: First things first, RIP Josuke's Grandpa. However if there's one benefit to the Hol-Horse story taking place right before Part 4, is that you get to actually see him working as a cop. By now it's kind of safe to read that side-manga, and I do recommend it. o: As for voice actors... We got Wataru Hatano who plays Josuke in the PS3 fighting game. If you're a Fairy Tail fan, he's Gajeel. He also plays Metal Bat in One Punch Man. He also plays Shaiapouf the Royal Guard Chimera Ant! xD Yūki Ono plays Josuke in the anime, and to be honest... I'm not exactly sure what to tell you about his roles. xD He's in nothing I know about, and the stuff I do know might be a little too obscure... Best I can probably say is that he's Taiga Kagami from Kuroko no Basket? To be honest I prefer Wataru's delieveries in the game. o: Yuki performs great in the anime, but when they brought him in to do the very recent updated version(with all the anime voices from part 1-6) I just feel his performance was a little...lacking in comparison. As for Koichi, don't you think that little shrimp reminds you of another little shrimp who plays card games? o; You're going to like Koichi, honestly I feel like what they do with him in this part is what they should have done with Smokey in Part 2 if stands had been introduced back then... Just get him more involved in the plot. o: So as for his voice actors... The guy who voices him in the anime is Yuki Kaji. Now what's interesting about him is that he actually voiced someone else in the PS3 version of the game, which was the Part 7 protagonist who I'm not really at liberty to talk about. xD But he's done other work too... For instance he's Link in the first Hyrule Warriors game, he plays the main character from Seven Deadly Sins...And of course there's my favorite, the yellow lion robot Gaon from Zenkaiger. That dude is just freakin' hilarious. xD ...Oh and I guess he played a small role in some obscure anime called Attack on Titan, Eren Jeager or something? Moving on~ In the original PS3 game, Koichi is played by Romi Park! Who plays Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist, Temari from Naruto, Hange from Attack on Titan, and she plays one of the transformation devices in the Don Brothers. Seriously, look up: "Don Brothers Don Doragoku Henshin Sound" It's kind of impressive. She also played the Part 5 protagonist in his PS2 game, but that's getting ahead of things! xD So there's only one more pupper, just one more cruel act from Araki-IMEAN THOSE BASTARDLY VILLAINS, before another pupper doesn't have to suffer in this show anymore.

Hey there, it seems they got you again! Although honestly, I think I noticed perhaps maybe a subtle “dig” in the opening sequence where you fell prey to the “doggone” series trope again (sorry not sorry) - I’m going to guess the author does not think too fondly of either people who don’t clean up after their dogs or just chuck cigarette butts anywhere they want. Valid argument. Oh, and you know, just tell yourself this whenever they do it - at least it’s not real, and you weren’t the one who had to spend several days animating every frame of it. I never asked for details about what Angelo was doing, but we got them anyway - and if you DON’T cringe at those depictions, regardless of gender, then something might be wrong with you. Why’s the creator of this show spend so much time detailing the grisly stuff anyway? My guess is that Josuke’s stand can do everything to reshape something, but in the case of his gramps, he was already dead - you can’t bring back what’s not there (although we know we’ve toyed with THAT notion enough recently…! Something was bound to stick for once…) Oh, which brings me to the crux of the episode - we need to stop and appreciate how creative the antagonists are. That whole last sequence where the liquid literally can kill you in any form? There’s enough material in that five minute set piece for an entire horror movie. PS: Oh, quick housekeeping: the next arc next week is a three-part episode arc, so you might want to adjust accordingly so you’re not cut off in the middle of it. :)

Manny

I don’t like litterbugs but how are you going to commit such heinous and disgusting acts like THAT yet get so mad at a dog fr pooping and a cigarette butt on the ground? 🤬 Oh I thought the ending song was a Japanese version of hey Macarena lol. 😗🎶

kamenriderhime

Ohhh that's interesting about the OP!! It's SUCH a funky one, isn't it?? I'll be sure to try and pay attention!! No kidding, Josuke's grandpa was in the Hol Horse side story?!?!! Now I've gotta go read it! No kidding about Josuke's VA in the game, wow!! What a resume!! I've never seen Kuroko no Basket but if I ever do, I'll keep an ear out for the anime VA! That's interesting that his game VA is that good in the delivery, wow! Haha I'm liking Koichi so far! I would have loved to have seen more Smokey in a similar role for sure! WOW, that is quite a resume as well! HAHAHA I might have heard of some little show called Attack on Titan, idk :P That's crazy about the game VA! Ugggghhhh I hate that there's still one more pup scene but I'm glad it's not more than that!! Thanks for the heads up! Lol no, that scene actually set the tone quite a bit didn't it!!!

kamenriderhime

They did!!!! Hahaha nooooo too soon :(((( Lol! It's a valid argument for sure, but I'd say the punishment didn't fit the crime here :P Uggghhh, someone had to animate that frame by frame.... :O SERIOUSLY, the details were bad enough, but the vague but horrifying little still images to go along with them were just TOO much!! Yeah, it was too late for his grandpa. :( Seriously, after the last time a grandpa cheated death on this show, sadly I guess one of the deaths had to stick! Yeah the whole liquid can kill you thing was horrifying and clever, and probably could've been a whole horror movie by itself like you said! Ooooh I've heard about the three parter coming next! It'd be a real shame if I had to watch more Jojo this week XD XD XD

the power of crazy diamond jouske's stand is to fix things. it works on things that broken and constuignit parts.

Jonah Fewell

it can also fix things incorrcetly. etiher when jouske does it delberty or when jouske is to mad to care

kamenriderhime

Ohhhh interesting, okay! Thanks for clarifying! So it takes some focus or else it can go wrong lol, that's an interesting note!

Senpai

Really? I'm suuure you don't remember Eren, I mean he's got suuuuch a small role. ;o 😆 Though speaking of small, poor Koichi is small enough that normal people ARE Titans. 🤣 Though keep in mind his height is stylized. I can't remember his exact height, but he's reasonably short. Just keep in mind for the doggie warning, be wary if you see a dog in a cage. :c That's all I say, but you're in the clear after then.

kamenriderhime

Hahahaha it was really more like a cameo right? :P Awwwww poor Koichi lol!!! And that's in the newer style, now that everyone's a bit slimmer too. Last arc people were even bigger I think! Oh thank you for the heads up!!! Yikes!! :O I'm glad that's the last one!

Alex R

We’re at diamond is unbreakable!! Gahhh probably one of if not my favorite part and my favorite Jojo! This is a bit a slow burn at first and it might seem like this part might not be going anywhere to start. But it’ll be a crazy ride and dare I say, bizzare adventure to the end. Some things to note in these first two eps. I don’t think they verbalize the names for Josuke’s or Angelo’s stands. So Josuke’s is Crazy Diamond which is a reference to Pink Floyd. And Angelo’s is Aqualung, a reference to Jethro Tull. Also, there is an ongoing spin off manga where Hol Horse comes to Morioh and meets Josuke. There is also a character who is trying to uncover what happened to Kakyoin and how he died :0 so that might be something to check out! I loved these first two reactions and cannot wait to see more! :)

kamenriderhime

YAY!!!! Wow!!! I can't wait to see more! Well, every arc needs an establishing phase, no problem there! I'm sure it will get crazier and crazier as time goes on too lol! Oh thanks for the info! I just watched the next few eps and noticed they were saying "Crazy Diamond" but the subs say "Shining Diamond". Both are kinda Pink Floyd references haha! OHHHHH Aqualung! How did I miss that reference! I've heard of that manga, I think it might be safe to read it now? In the past I've been told to hold off for a bit, probably just until I got to this part!!! I'd like to check it out! I'm so happy you loved my reactions!! I can't wait for you to see my next 3!!! Josuke is really growing on me XD

Alex R

Very true!!! Oh yes it will!! And i cannot wait! Lol yeah, they’re basically a reference to the same Pink Floyd song. Honestly, it’s one of the better localized names. There are some that are questionable lol I feel like its totally missable! I think I missed the aqualung reference on first watch I think it is safe to read now. Granted I’ve only read the first three or four chapters, I do believe it takes place just before this part! Yayyyy I’m glad he’s growing on you! Can’t wait for more! :D

2023-07-08 16:02:19 Yay!! Yeah that one kinda translated well! I picked up "Bad Company" from "Worse Company" in the next ones, as well as Red Hot Chili Peppers haha. And I have to ask, is Okoyasu's (sp?) money sign / billion symbols on his uniform a reference to the song/album Billion Dollar Babies? I was wondering about it during the eps but forgot to ask in my outro! Oh I'm glad it's not just me when it comes to the Aqualung reference hehe! Ok cool, I'll have to check it out! I'm dying to read it! He really is haha, these last few I just watched (coming Monday) in particular I could really see more of his personality and could see a lot of Joseph in him <3 I think it's gonna be a wild ride!! Hope you love my reactions!!

Awesome! Yeah those are pretty easy to pick up, even without listening to the audio! I’m not completely sure on that one about Okuyasu, but we’ll just say yes because I’m sure it is! Lol yes, read it! I have feeling you’re going to absolutely love it Yes! He definitely has some Joseph in him Can’t wait for more!

Btw, melissa, have you heard of a JoJo's Araki's reviewed and approved video gane, Eyes of Heaven? It's an AU, very timey-wimey... replace Tardis with part 5 turtle... but, anyway. The plot is AU, very much so, but the feelings of the characters are canon. No spoilers here - wanna hear what 28 y.o. marine professor Jotaro Kujo would say to 24 y.o. crusader Polnareff, 17 y.o. crusader Kakyoin, and to idk how old in dog years crusader Iggy (best worst doggo), etc? The words Jotaro would say, if the time was not cut short or got all timey wimey like in Doctor Who? From the heart... no spoilers, so, watch, it's neat https://youtu.be/oOpN2OTknhY?si=q8qcqZQ3sgNi1sBn https://youtu.be/3i4do65-rlg?si=mokWBQm7-LCsN_ou https://youtu.be/OduHuc_71F8?si=YW390CqmP9hqsnGx (watch both vids when you have time and are in mood for Jotaro DiU/SDC/inbetween fuzzy eels, oh man... 🥲😁) and if you speak Jotaro-language, it's a lot of 'wow, I love you, guys, I had no idea how much. Btw. Guys. Have I ever told you how awesome you are? No? Well then. I'll tell you. You're awesome. Er, was there anything else? Right. Er. Missed you? (What do I say... are there some instructions on what to say..) oh, and. Cool. You're all very cool. Way cooler." 😆 anyway, watch it, no spoileres where you are, and it's... neat. And cool. Pft. 😆:( 😀 watch all three vids. 😀
