Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 1, episode 9 of Chainsaw Man!  Oh dang guys, I called it about Makima but sadly this really was it for Himeno!  Not before the ghost devil got a chance to start Denji up though, wow was it a pleasure to see him get in a few good hits against these new enemies!  But dang, he got taken down in a big way.  Thankfully Kobeni is a secret boss and managed to get his top half back!!!!!!!!!  It's too bad about her partner.  And speaking of bosses, we get to see Makima's power here and DANG, it is as freaky and mysterious as she is!  What a direction they're taking us in!  Great ep!  Can't wait for more!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

“Guys, this show has gone so far off the rails I don’t know where to begin!” Well, your first mistake… was thinking there were any rails at all to begin with. 😅 I think you may have slightly misinterpreted - Sawatari’s Snake swallowed Himeno, but remember she “lost the ghost arm” before that happened? Then the Ghost Devil “yanked Denji’s chain” on its own for lack of a better word. Makima said she wasn’t shot - but - she clearly was, and then she’s fine… what’s that story? Also, why is everyone so interested in Denji’s heart? Let’s keep that on the back burner… Makima is getting the convicts to say the names of the perpetrators - how she got them is anybody’s guess - but when she does that, not only does her target die, but the convict she used seems to collapse as well. And lastly, it seems Kobeni got a screw knocked loose… so… maybe she’s going to be cut out for this more than she thinks? I’ll just say this… some things you’re saying are close to right and some are way off. 😉

It wasn't his dad in the photo. The photo katana man showed to Denji was katana man's grandfather, who was the yakuza guy who Denji was working for when we first met him in ep 1, the guy who sold Denji out to the Zombie Devil and then turned into a zombie with the rest of those yakuza.

We did see what happened to the convicts. Each of them died as soon as she used them.

I noticed that after!! They went from like sitting on the ground to more laying but I didn't put it together cause they didn't look bloody/injured. Def implied that they died though.

LOL rails, what rails?!!? Oh ok, I forgot about the ghost arm! Yeah there's definitely more to the Makima thing. Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering why everyone is after Denji's heart! I didn't quite get it about the convicts dying right way but noticed it when I was syncing that that's what was implied. Lol yeah Kobeni was like activated or something! Oh wow, I'm excited I'm kinda close on at least some of my theories!!!

Haha I guess that too, but I meant that as she's squishing the guys, the convicts are shown falling to the ground one by one. I think you were just too distracted by the gore to notice lol, but it was shown at least 5 times.

Boss Lady Makima is absolutely terrifying. And yes of course she's lying to the two Kyoto agents. That's need to know information and they don't need to know. Admitting she got shot but is now apparently fine would raise unwelcome questions and also probably be a breach of agency security. It's easier to just lie about it. Also, Kobeni really redeemed herself this episode....her survival instincts finally kicked in, along with blind, raging vengeance. She's still completely traumatized and freaking out, but at least she's contributing....and yes, saving Denji from getting captured is a big "W" for the team. Also, devastating as the enemy's assault was, it sure did work out nicely for Makima in the end....brutally effective power consolidation just fell right in her lap...almost as if she planned it that way? Who can say? She's certainly not going to.

She really is! That's true, it's easier just to try and cover it up I suppose. Yeah Kobeni was a total boss! I meeeaannn.....it did kinda end up that way didn't it?? Strange.....!!!
