2021-07-15 05:22:46 I did the AncestryDNA awhile ago, but definitely going to do this one too! 49% European Jewish (made up of Central, Eastern & Western Europe), 28% England, Wales, Scotland and Northwestern Europe and 23% Germanic Europe (was surprised how low that one was since my Dad was German... and hello, last names Horstman) The best surprise was how much Romanian I have! Have come close to finding out I’m related to Vlad Tepes aka Vlad the Impaler aka Dracula!!!!! A dream come true for this horror lover lol

Aw, no problem, man!! Really appreciate you sending it over :) out of all the requests we've received, this has definitely been one of the most fun & unique. Plus either way it's really cool to find out where all your collective, genetic makeup comes from (even if some of it's close to what you'd imagined 😜). Hope you're having a great holiday as well my brother and we'll definitely look out for ya on the site! Gotta remember to check those Neanderthal scores as well haha

Daaamn haha, all you need is that few-extra genetic links!! That's pretty awesome, though. I think Greg had a similar moment with his Italian side as you did with the German haha. Almost the exact same reasoning as well 😂 but hey, those are the fun surprises!! Be curious to see how your results would vary across the different tests... if you ever do a 23andMe, you'll have to follow up with your results! ...either that or go on a pilgrimage to Romania haha

I’ll definitely let you know when I do the 23 and me! I have a Romanian friend Nicoleta who is helping me trace the Vlad lineage! Not an easy process but getting there! Believe me I will visit Dracula’s castle before I die lol (oh and the Suicide Forest in Japan too) My travel destinations are all dark and weird lol It’s fascinating to find out you’re not what you thought you 💯 % were! I even was in the German club in high school lol Ich bin Deutsche. Daher bin ich lol
