You are correct. episode 10 is the mid season finale. Great reaction. skye's dad is just so crazy but now you get alittle of why. can't wait for 9 and 10.

1) Remember when Whitehall told Raina he once operated on a woman for a week? Now you know. Small example of something seemingly minor said a few episodes ago that comes back to have deeper meaning. Even now, there are several things just like this laying there, waiting for the future. 2) I actually like that Fitz and his improvement were able to a a point but not a major plot point. Sometimes it's nice to see characters progress without the writers having to make it overt. Just tell the story you want to tell and trust that people will notice the details. 3) SHIELD episode titles often have double, triple or even more meanings. Think of all the buried things that were revealed. Examples: The well both the physical and the truth of the story, the alien city, Skye's mom , Whitehall's past, Why Skye's father is really with Whitehall. Interestingly, we also see some things get buried, like whatever Bakshi was talking about with Bobbi. 4) Finally, I think you caught this, but the person who ordered Whitehall's release was Alexander Pierce. Robert Redford's character from Winter Soldier.

Ahhh not bad!! This arc is nutty, but SO dark given the context. I’m worried for Skye in the coming episodes 😰 and I certainly can’t blame pops for going a little mad. This season’s been so cool thus far. VERY excited & really happy ya dug the vid! 😊

1) YES, and now my stomach has a terrible sinking feeling haha. That's really cool, though. Definitely gonna have to keep my ear trained for those things. 2) Couldn't agree more! I love when things develop in the background, or, like you said, without having to be super-overt. They're good at doing that, I think. Things really do have consequences. Fitz's arc for this part of the season is his progress and I appreciate that when he's the focus lately, it tends to be a more emotional thing than a direct technical thing. And yeah, he got a W here that seems pretty plausible within the universe of the show. 3) This is definitely a lesson I've been learning over time haha. I ought'a pay closer attention to the titles going into/coming out of each episode. But yeah, seems like they're good at imbuing these episodes with a central theme. Very curious about whatever Bakshi was hinting at... 4) I may have half-caught it haha. Appreciate you clarifying it here. I feel like I caught the line the one agent said in the moment, but probably didn't register as significantly as it should have. I get fuzzier on some of those characters. Come to think of it, this'd actually be a good time to revisit Winter Soldier haha. Haven't seen it in ages.

AoS remains one of my favorite shows of all time. It has really memorable and likeable characters. Every season manages to surprise. Sometimes the show writers make choices I don't like but overall I always have a great time watching it. This particular arc is one of my favorites. I love watching Skye's dad on screen. Kyle MacLachlan was such perfect casting for this. He plays this character so manic and chaotic...but he also manages to feel really sincere. His pain is very well realized and it's in this episode that I start to really root for him to get his revenge against Whitehall. This episode has a lot of the fun AoS-style spy-fi that I love. It's always charming watching one of their field missions come together. Clark Gregg's comedic timing in the scene where Coulson gives Trip and Skye their orders in Hawai'i was so good. Not to mention the energy and chemistry between Clark and Kye in the scene with Trip bleeding out. Loved every second of that.

2021-07-15 04:55:00 I can see why! Think they've done a great job so far of crafting their storylines, not shying away from details that came before, and really fleshing out the ensemble across all these things. I've said it a few times, but this show has been a really pleasant surprise for me & I'm consistently thrilled with just how engaged they get me haha. And I can see why! ...even if I haven't reached the end yet haha. Kyle MacLachlan just has such a natural energy about him, no matter what the specifics of the character require, and I LOVE getting to see him play such an unhinged, manic, and yet still sympathetic role.. wouldn't have expected him to show up here, but I love that they cast him. And seriously haha, Clark Gregg has a special deadpan all his own. It's like a deadpan with a cheeky glimmer in his eye. Such a great papa-bear for the show, so to speak. And yeah, TERRIFIC lil scene between him, the Doc, & Trip. Very cool way to have them meet, but with an added layer of intensity. Plus the little nuggets of humor ("oh.. there's something inside" or Doc not knowing what the Tesseract is). Hope they get some more back-n-forth time before the arc wraps up!!
