Survey Results! | Patreon Weekly #95 (Patreon)
Content
Hey Patrons!
Firstly, the VOD is up for the fifth Patreon Livestream! You can check it out here.
For this weekly, I’m going to go over some of the results from the recent rewards survey, and share info on how side content is coming along for v0.9.3!
Rewards Poll
For this weekly I’m going to cover the quests on existing rewards, I’ll share info on the future rewards when its relevant.
I’m very pleased with the feedback here, it’s great that you guys like the Patreon-exclusive content! Regardless of how important the rewards are to you, I’m happy that I’m producing things worthy of your support!
As for the rankings, I’m happy with the placement of weeklies and polls, but I would like to keep working on improving the less valued rewards.
I’m very glad to see that most Patrons are okay with the current content pace. I’ve been worried for a little while now that releasing one or two things a week is too much, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Based on these results I don’t plan to make any format changes, though I do plan to continue streamlining my writing on these posts.
Lastly, you can check out the fifth Patreon Livestream for info on the survey questions about stream improvements. I go over those questions three and a half minutes into the stream.
v0.9.3 Side Content
I’ve implemented the item changes from Patreon Polls #12 and #14! They’re using placeholder sprites, as you can see below, but are fully functional and ready to go. As a quick recap, this means:
- All heroes now start with the Velvet Pouch, which should help early game inventory management
- The dew vial is now a waterskin, and is also given to all heroes at game start
- The tome of master and armor kit have both received thematic changes to make them better match the bosses that drop them.
Things are a little slower going for the other piece of v0.9.3 side content (voted for in poll #15!). I’ve got a full rough design written out for how each boss will respond to the new challenge, but need to do some rigorous testing to make sure they add enough spice without going too far.
I’m going to do each boss one at a time though, and so I plan to lock them in one at a time while also starting work on implementing T4 talents. I’m going to try to get v0.9.3 to beta in around another three weeks.
Also look out for a blog post on ShatteredPixel.com this week, which should get regular users up to speed on some of the work I’ve been doing for v0.9.3.
