My friends, here's a new model + diorama concept I've been planning for almost a year! The idea was sparked when I was looking for interesting facades and found this beautiful old garage located in North Wales.

AK has a bunch of Land Rovers and one of them is a tow truck, and just my luck, I found the original image that was used as inspiration for the box art :)

So... in a sense, the Land Rover itself isn't gonna be as important as the buildings behind it (sort of like the watermill diorama from last year), but it's still gonna play an important role. Also, it's gonna be the tiniest 1/35 model I've built!

So far I have most of the undercarriage finished (phew, this area contains tons of parts that are not gonna be visible) and the kit strongly reminds me of that Miniart Chevy truck. I wouldn't be surprised if Miniart made the model for AK!

Anyway... more progress soon!

Damn! Just my luck that I recently found an almost identical yellow Land Rover in a nearby village. That's a super rare find in Slovakia. I hope the owner won't mind if I film the video intro from a reasonable distance :D

Exciting! Off to a great start.

What luck to find the real life reference! I love the diorama concept.

OH I absolutely agree. That looks like a MiniArt engine. With every nut and bolt being an extra part. This will be just up your alley for the facade work. The crane part will be eye catching as well with the worn paints and oil/dirt residues. Can't wait

Looks very interesting. Looking forward to the next video)

That was my thought because the whole undercarriage gives me flashbacks and PTSD from the Chevy truck. And it's very different from their Land Cruiser which was much simpler.

The building looks like a well done O scale structure !
