As we celebrate the fourth anniversary of The Babu Freaks, we look back at how it all came together and some of the things we've done. We look forward to the launch of THE ACOLYTE and talk about the pre-show marketing. Barry and Tyler are hosting STAR WARS trivia nights at Alulu Brewpub and we discuss a controversy that happened during a recent session. A discussion about Meco's STAR WARS music leads to a history of RFR's early days of podcasting. Plus, TV recommendations, Shin Hati on a Landspeeder, Van Halen, and more!

Sweet! Can’t wait to listen on Monday. Just got to the panel of Natasha Liu Bordizzo. After her is Giancarlo Esposito. Going to try and ask questions at both.

Eric from Phoenix

Been a blast and no yard work this weekend. That’s why I won’t get to the freaks for a couple days.

Dominic Walter

Dying laughing at Jimmy’s mental breakdown and Tyler trying to calm him down by saying I’m sure the lightsabers will light up the screen! Lmao

Barry Harmon

Proud to be a Freak! Fun show!

Matthew Krahn

Easily my favorite segment aside from the mainstay RFR weekly episode!! 🎉🎉

Cameron Gore

I didn't catch it. What was Brian's podcast where he will be interviewing John Jackson Miller?

Ben P. Stein

Love you guys! Thanks for such an enjoyable evening of listening. I also liked the Living Force novel quite a bit. It was kind of like the Star Wars version of Star Trek IV, with the Jedi Council like fish out of water on the planet Kwenn just like the Enterprise crew in 20th century San Francisco. I just subscribed to Brian’s podcast Sacred Jedi Texts and look forward to his episode with John Jackson Miller.

Cameron Gore

Thanks! For some reason I couldn't find it when I looked earlier. I'm subscribed now and can't wait to hear the upcoming episode!

“Dellow Felegates” 😂. Cracked me up for five minutes!

Eric from Phoenix

Fun discussion! I think four is the correct answer on the trivia question. Kevin was grumpy, no way. lol. I agree with Brian the Jason is the play-by-play guy and Jim is the color guy. You guys need to come down to Phoenix for Spring Training and we could drive over to Yuma one day to check out the Jedi filming location. Would probably need Chris M’s assistance to find the exact location. I think the Acolyte time period is interesting. Here’s what I want with the series: 1) good story, 2) likable characters and 3) no politics.

My Son asked me to sign up for YouTube Music, instead of Amazon Prime Music. I switched over to a YouTube Music Family plan it also includes a YouTube Premium subscription. It's nice not having ads on YouTube now. I think it's $23 a month for all of us.

Peter Beisser

Happy birthday, Freaks! And I also think the money spent on YouTube Premium is the best spend you can ever make. Treat yo selves. I will never sit through a commercial again.

Gavin Dacko

Great listening to the Freaks again!

Eric from Phoenix

We have YouTube TV but I don’t get the premium version of YouTube. Frustrating as in my mind a subscription to YouTube TV should include it or we should get a significant discount.

Matt Rashid

Hey HEY! I missed the Freaks! Glad you’re back.

Jared Cantor

Here's to another 4(0) years!

Erik Berry

Love the freaks!

Happy Birthday to the Freaks. That Q&A that Tyler mentioned with Swank was me talking the 2009 reboot film. Was supposed to do another one for the other 2 reboots, but never was able to get it scheduled and now I'm not a VIP. I hope to start that again in the winter if not before.
