Luke comforting Leia at the end of TESB - I always felt that Luke knew about Leia's feelings for Han but then that's because the TESB novel basically stated that...although the movie does not imply what the novel says in any way.

I went to see the 25th release of Menace with my cousin a couple weeks ago. We saw it together opening day in 99. Was awesome to go together again. Love that film. I was 15 when it was released and got to go to the toys r us midnight madness. I don’t think there will ever be a hype train like TPM ever again. Such a special experience!

Awesome! I recently grabbed the trilogy on paper back at Barnes and nobles. Reading them after I finish Heir to the Empire/Thrawn Trilogy.

I wanted to add a little more information on two items we discussed during my show and tell: 1) George Lucas Super Live Adventure - here's some links to videos and complete list of all the merch. -> http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_category&category_id=232 -> http://theswca.com/hobbyarchive/1993/superlive.html -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6We5rQPwD3E&list=PLgDdCCCVdydbGoIu64XiqQ2myTyLojCpN&index=4 2) Vlix - here's some information on this figure and a video. -> https://www.denofgeek.com/tv/the-story-behind-the-rarest-star-wars-action-figure/ -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7_l-3iHK5I

Awesome episode. Thanks Eric for the shout out! I need to go back and watch the video. As a VHS generation fan I want to expand my collection!

Eric from Phoenix

It was great meeting you and Logan! I love hunting for the VHS because they are fairly easy to find, they look good on a shelf and they aren’t terribly expensive. I do see a wide range of prices on them so make sure to check sold items on eBay so you don’t over pay. It’s typical that at a toy show, I will see someone selling an open letterbox special edition VHS set that is beat up for $40. That is way too much. lol

Eric from Phoenix

I forgot to mention a couple additional folks we met in Bristol. Brothers Eric and Luke. Windows (who is on Patreon and in livestream chat) and Curtis who believe it or not came from Phoenix (Apache Junction) to the event. Also, got to hang with Justin and Melissa this past weekend who we met through RFR / Pateron a couple years ago.

Turtle Wars

I purchased a sealed unopened widescreen VHS set of the original theatrical version of the OT off of eBay earlier this year for $15.

Turtle Wars

Impressive how you remember everyone’s names Eric! I wish I would have met everyone that was there, but there were so many people I didn’t get a chance to meet.

Mike Mulvenna

That’s not bad at all! I’m going to have to keep my eyes open! And Eric, I’ve already got the Episode 1 Collectors VHS still sealed. I found it when my parents moved. Apparently even 16 year old me was smart enough to buy a separate copy to watch.

Turtle Wars

There’s the 2 step and 3 step versions. One to rock and one to stock. Or one to rock, one to stock, and one to hawk.

Turtle Wars

Correction, I looked it up, I got the sealed OT theatrical VHS set for $10 with $12 shipping.

Eric from Phoenix

It was a crazy time and Star Wars was everywhere. Doubtful we will ever see anything like that again.

Joe Dallas

Great recap Eric! I am in the process of putting my CD w my dad on Bandcamp…. I’ll let people know when I get it up there! Thanks for the shout out!

Super-enjoyable Q&A as always! The George Lucas Super Live Adventure is fascinating and there are some interesting interviews with Lee Whittaker, who was tapped to play Luke Skywalker in what was his first major gig. I recognize the name of the producer you mentioned, Kenneth Feld, as a producer of the Barnum and Bailey circus shows when I was growing up in NYC. Awesome memories. Thank you!

Eric from Phoenix

Thanks Ben! You filled in a little more information on the unique George Lucas Super Live Adventure. Disappointed you couldn’t make the event and I know everyone would’ve love meeting you. Glad we got to meet you at the Bash and looking forward to the next time we get hang at an RFR event.

Ben P. Stein

Thanks, Eric! Unfortunately I had a professional event that day that I had to attend. I’m on the board of the DC Science Writers Association and May 4 happened to be the day of our annual conference! I had organized and had to moderate one of the sessions. I am determined to make it to the next RFR event and I look forward to seeing you and all my friends in the RFR community next time!

Ben P. Stein

Also, my brother and sister-in-law just bought a home in Sun City West! So when I visit I’ll make sure to let you know!

Ben P. Stein

Will do! I expect I'll make it to Phoenix in the next year! My brother was asking what part of Phoenix you are in? I think you'd enjoy meeting my brother too (his thing is pinball!)

Eric from Phoenix

We are in the East Valley (Gilbert) and about an hour away from your brother. There’s a nice old school arcade in Mesa that has probably 20 different pinball games (Starfighters Arcade). Nothing close to the Galloping Ghost but I think probably the closest thing we have to it down here.

Tanya S

Fantastic photos from Bristol! I really enjoyed your Star Tours pin. I remember when it first opened and my friends and I drove up to Disneyland after (high school) Saturday detention to check it out. Great stuff!

Eric from Phoenix

Thanks Tanya! I’m glad to get them in my collection and hear the story of her going to the park.

Gavin Dacko

Finally caught up and finished this Q&A … excellent job as always Eric!! You and Jimmy have some great conversations, it always feels like good friends catching up. Bristol recap was awesome! And your recent scores were very impressive!! Can’t wait for the next one!!

My aunt had one of those hand crank viewers and just one cartridge that I remember. It was a cartoon of ghosts getting scared by another character that is covered in some dough or something like that.
