Wow, remember when fandom and independent media (RFR) had access to the creators of Star Wars. Insight. Accountability. Investment. What a better time for all of us. 😔

That fight between Maul and Savage and Sideous is one of my favorite lightsaber fights of all time. You really get to see Sideous and just how powerful he is. The animation is sooo good.

I’ve also always kinda blamed Ashoka a little bit for what happened to her and thereby (in part) Anakin’s fall. It’s messed up that the Jedi Council didn’t trust her (although I’m pretty confident Yoda did), but at the same time she chose to run instead of letting Anakin her master and pretty much closest friend help her. I’m positive that if she doesn’t choose to run but instead goes into custody and relies on the fact that Anakin, Rex, Obi-Wan, etc. know her and know she didn’t do it and actually let’s them help her things go a lot differently for both characters. It’s hard to say that Anakin still wouldn’t fall, but Ashoka is truly the second nail in the coffin for him (the first being his mother, and third being Padme, in terms of his attachments) and if that mail wasn’t there, would Anakin have been so blinded by his anger? (Probably but it’s fun to debate).

And the BEST thing about the Ashoka arc, is that Anakin believed her and supported her throughout. It made the ending hit so much harder.
