I recognize some Aspergers traits in Ethan. The black and white thinking…. and he doesn’t understand Olivia’s nuanced needs. He thinks if he does every thing for her he will make her happy. He can’t understand why it doesn’t work like that. So he shuts down. That’s why he prefers the shop.

I'm so averse to conflict I have to force myself to listen to them talk through it. My pattern is to shut down or leave in an argument, so it's nice to see friends express and hear each other's different views. 😙
