Bleach #SundayRundown This was easily the best reaction yet and I'm ecstatic for you guys to see more. We saw Aizen again but Yuha is a different animal, what a ridiculous way to fool Yamamoto and he bought it hook, line and sinker. As many will tell you, Kenpachi killed Loyd Lloyd, it was his twin brother, Royd Lloyd who was impersonating as Yuha, so it is no surprise that he was about to kill Kenny to avenge his sibling. Speaking of Kenny, so far, himself, Aizen and Ichigo have been referred to as "Special Threats" by the Quincies. I'm sure you can ascertain as to why, but you can also theorize who else should fall under that category. Circling back to Aizen, what a reintroduction to him, this scene was actually expanded in the anime. In the manga, he just tells Yamamoto that he met Aizen and we see a panel of him, their conversation was new material! Lastly, that final line from, "Farewell, Shigekuni Yamamoto" was bone chilling. I still remember reading this part during the manga so vividly, it was devastating. And shout out to Neil Kaplan, what a performance befitting of the Head Captain of the 13 Court Guard Squads. Made me remember that he gave you a pep talk during your Naruto Shippuden reactions.

flynt c0al

##sundayrundown## BLEACH TYBW the Sternritters that fought Kenny and Yamamoto where identical twins, Loyd Lloyd and Royd Lloyd that share the Schrift Y for "yourself" Loyd version can replicate the spiritual power and abilities of a individual who Kenny fought so when he copied Kenny he was as strong as Kenny was at that moment. that why kenny line of he just got stronger work Lloyd was as strong as start of the fight Kenny. Royd version replicate the memories and personality of an individual, flawlessly impersonating his target and yama was so blinded by Yhwach that he went and let out the monster from 1000 years ago where he wanted to make Yhwach suffer and be completely destroyed mind, body and sword

iman

He's been granted the Schrift E for Exposition.

Guys, this was my (and a friends) original thoughts and breakdown of the episode when it first came out. Had to go back to certain reactions that I originally commented on to find them and put them together, it only took me a few minutes to find it…so no it wasn’t saved conventionally. I just know when to expect the Normies to post their reaction and woke up like an hour ago. It’s all for the love of 🔥BLEACH🔥

Zana

Thats right Suraj, Kenpachi did kill that guy. But he had a twin brother :) Royd and Loyd are brothers with basically the same power. one can copy 100% power and 80% mind, the other can copy 100% mind and 80% power

Conflictor

Gotta say, wish the anime further explicitly elaborated on them like it was in the manga, but it is what it is. This is another episode that had to prioritize and make anime original content for Uryu.

Gremmy Thoumeaux

#SundayRundown: Bleach You should know there’s actually 2 Sternritter Ys who designate the power of “The Yourself” who are twin brothers. In the manga, there’s a backstory which was cut out for unknown reasons of the 2 brothers born with the ability to copy people’s appearances. Lloyd Lloyd who fought Kenpachi could copy appearances and powers while Royd Lloyd who fought Yamamoto could copy appearances and memories, which is how he fooled Yamamoto. However recently, we got new information in Klub Outside that Royd could also copy 70-80% of powers from whoever he copies. This makes sense how he was able to easily beat Kenpachi (even without the eyepatch) and it’s safe to imagine that in a fair fight, Yamamoto could have actually beaten the real Yhwach in a fair fight considering how he did against someone who was 70-80% as strong as the real Yhwach had he not taken Yamamoto’s Bankai. Imagine being so powerful, both main villains of the series took contingency plans against you.

Zana

I'm an anime only but honestly I feel like TYBW moves too quickly with the story sometimes, which is kinda ironic considering it's the opposite problem the original had lol

All Mighty Lowercase Jay

#SundayRundown #TYBW - It's a true testament to Yamamoto's strength that both Aizen and Yhwach both chose to trick him and steal/seal Yamamoto bankai instead of trying to fight him one on one.

Conflictor

Admittedly, it was fast paced and rapidfire pacing much like most of JoJos, although for the better considering things dragged out originally and worked well with most audiences, but regardless this is only the case for the first 2 parts as the first half of the arc and isn’t so for part 3: The Conflict.

I

#SundayRundown Bleach My first Sunday Rundown comment lol. That's how excited I am about these batch of episodes despite where I am currently with the TYBW myself. For all the mistakes he made and his flaws, Old Man Yama will still always get his flowers from me for this. Just pure, unadulterated hype most of the time. The shock (mild because I've watched enough anime to know he wasn't gonna beat The Quincy King lol and, him going to Aizen). This and episode 7 might genuinely be up there for all time favourite Bleach episodes for me. Just goosebumps. TYBW deserves all the hype, even with its flaws, in my opinion (at least based on where I'm at so far anyways lol). Also, they've been snapping with the animation but, this fight in particular was absolutely insane. The animators went IN. Last addition lol: Also, though I prefer the sub, man, the dub voice actor for Yamamoto did a phenomenal job. Might be the best Bleach dub voice to me, wow.

Conflictor

How this comment conveniently and immediately received multiple likes in no time at all I wish I knew but somehow have an idea how.

Razvan Tanase

There are 2 twin brothers with the same power, Kenpachi killed one, the other just died now.

iman

He just used his imagination and it became reality

Annah Suarez-Domit

#Sunday Rundown So TYBW usually is very good about not cutting out anything that is necessary while also adding some good context, unfortunately here they did leave out an important component to the story with the Y "Yourself" Sternritter. There are actually two Y Sternritter that can transform into other people. The manga explains them as twins that were indistinguishable from one another and so when they entered the service of Yhwach they were given the same but slightly different powers. The one Kenpachi could fight got all of Kenny's powers but 70-80% of his memories and was called Loyd Lloyd. The one Yamamoto had 70-80% of Yhwach's powers and all of his memories and was called Royd Lloyd. Presumably they were split up that way since Royd would be better at impersonating his king.

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

#SundayRundown #Bleach Another long comment from me. Yamamoto’s Zanpakuto and Bankai is one of my favorites in Bleach so here’s some stuff on it. Yamamoto’s Zanpakuto is called “Ryujin Jakka” which translates to “Flowing Blade-like Flame” or “Flowing Blade Young Flame”. It’s release command is “Reduce All Creation to Ash” or “All Things in the Universe, Turn to Ashes” His Bankai is called “Zanka no Tachi” which translates to “Longsword of the Remnant Flame” or “Blade of Ember”. Here are the techniques in the order they were used. East - “Higashi Kyokujitsujin” which translates to “Rising Sun Edge” West - “Zanjitsu Gokui” which translates to “Remnant Sun Prison Garb” South - “Kaka Jumen’okushi Daisojin” which translates to “Great Burial Ranks of the Ten Trillion Fire Dead” North - “Tenchi Kaijin” which translates to “Heaven and Earth End in Ashes What’s funny is that throughout Bleach the only real weakness of his Zanpakuto and his Bankai is that it’s too strong. So strong that if he uses it for too long it destroys everything including himself. Yamamoto was truly built different, unfortunately he went against another character that was also just built different. Truly a battle of HIM’s” A little extra. We did fire, let's go ice. Hitsugaya’s Zanpakuto is called “Hyorinmaru” which translates to “Ice Ring” and its release command is “Sit Upon the Frozen Heavens” or “Reign Over the Frosted Heavens”. His Bankai is called “Daiguren Hyorinmaru” which translates to “Grand Crimson Lotus Ring”. Here’s some info on the Sternritter revealed in this episode. I wanted to save the full explanation for this episode since it’s fully relevant here. So you’ve met the twins Loyd Lloyd (Who fought Zaraki) and Royd Lloyd (Fake Ywach) they’re both Strenritter “Y” “The Yourself”. They both have the ability to copy their target’s powers and memories/personalities, but they have different affinities for it. Loyd(Who fought Zaraki) can copy 100% of his targets Power potency but only 70%-80% of their memories/personality and Royd(Fake Ywach) can only copy 70%-80% Power potency but 100% of his targets memories/personality. Which is why he was chosen to impersonate Ywach since he would be weaker but more convincing. And sell the act better.

Mugen Shiratori

So Royd Lloyd and Loyd Lloyd are twin brothers with the same power, sharing the Schrift "Y- The Yourself" Loyd, the one Kenpachi killed is the more proficient one at "The Yourself" being capable of copying the appearance and current power level of his opponent. Kenpachi basically just increased his power level from the power level Loyd copied and killed him (EPIC FORESHADOWING). Royd on the other hand is not as proficient at "The Yourself", only capable of copying the appearance of whoever's form he takes. However he is very strong on his own. The bottom line is that Kenpachi really lost to a regular-ass Sternritter and ONLY fought Yhwach's image with Royd's power level. This was utter humiliation of Kenpachi, and Royd got his revenge for Loyd's death at his hands. This also means Yhwach is capable of far more than his imitation just showed here and as you will find out as the show goes on, Yamamoto... never stood a chance.

AttackRunRepeat

Awww Rana missed the pull up of her boy. I'm sure she lost her mind.

Adan Guzman

#SundayRundown - Bleach Now it makes sense why Aizen didn’t want to fight Yamamoto head on and needed to seal away his flames. Yamamoto’s Shikai, Ryūjin Jakka was always shown to be just as powerful as a Bankai already that it always made you wonder what a Bankai version of his intense flames would be and I love the direction Kubo went with his fire powers. From being able to condense all his flames into a single spot, cloak himself with the same temperature as the sun’s core, and being able to resurrect all whose he’s slain over the years, I think it’s safe to assume his Bankai lived up to the hype and gave us the greatest animated fight of the show.(imo anyway)

Rendy

The Meruem vs Netero episode was produced by the same person as this one, so it's cool that you remembered that particular battle.

Kail Andrews

#SundayRundown Bleach Now that you finally witness Yamamoto's Bankai, one can understand why he didnt' use it in previous arcs. If he had activate it in fake karakura he would have instantly destroyed the atmosphere, then the pilars and the real town would have returned, also eventually the human world would have been destroyed by his power and flames. Also it is mentioned that his power would eventually destroy soul society by just existing, and that realm is it's own dimention, so Yama can destroy an entire reality just by existing, which is terrifying and shows why both villains had to come with specific counters to Yama.

Smash Bran'Discootch

The fire may be stored in the tip, but ashy skeletons are stored in the balls.

Adan Guzman

Yeah I think Cour 2 was the most fast paced, especially Episode 20 since that adapted almost a whole volume in it. I’m not sure why they would cut out the backstories of Lloyd and Royd though

John of the papa

Kubo did confirm on Klub outside that Loyd can copy 100% of power and 70/80% memory while Royd can copy 100% memory and 70-80% power. So Yamamoto was essentially still toying with Ywach at base lvl.

#sunday rundown bleach. Aizen does not have a zanpakuto remember, so he cant have a bankai to steal. He lost his when he evolved to his final form right before urahara sealed him. He has already surpassed soul reapers and has become a trasnscendent being.

Smash Bran'Discootch

I had originally came to say specifically this, but you've already got it covered homie! Good on ya! ^_^

More of when he evolved like dangi ichgo he was fused with his zanpakuto

#Bleach #SundayRundown What an episode. To this day, many people would say that is the best TYBW episode (animation-wise). So many, many talented people worked on this piece of art. Now, get this, before the TYBW was ever announced to be happening one man took it upon himself to animate it, by his own hands, and even animated an entire first short episode entirely with his own vision and art. The guy is called RetroRyno and is pretty much a legend within the community. He even got Johnny Yong Bosch to voice act as Ichigo for his first episode! I'll leave the links down below so you can check it out yourself if you want, maybe just to see how hungry people were back in the day to see the TYBW animated. Oh, and one more thing...RetroRyno actually got to work on The Fire himself :) After trying to get the show animated on his own, he was invited to animate a part of the Yamamoto vs Yhwach fight (it's the scene where Yama's feet melt the ground beneath him into lava). RetroRyno TYBW opening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QUbSlJVyTk&t=131s (starts at the 30 second mark) RetroRyno TYBW Episode 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjEtIdoX09g&t=1s These are completely spoiler-free, so enjoy!

Mugen Shiratori

Oh okay so no humiliation points on Kenny... though I would not have minded with Royd was just that strong caause well Kenpachi needed to be really humbled for the impact of what happens next.

Deusex1000

#Bleach #SundayRundown Loyd (The guy that Kenpatchi killed) was the ywatch lookalike's twin brother, Royd. They both share the same rank and the Schrift of Y: The Yourself: which gives them the powers to mimics the looks, powers and memories of who they want. However, in the case of Loyd he can only copy about 70%-80% of the memories and 100% of their powers while Royd the powers he copies are only at 70%-80% of their powers but 100% of their memories. It's explained in the manga alongside their backstory, however due to it contradicting information that came after they cut it out of the anime. I could definitely see this confusing anime only's.

Jackie Gibson

Definitely one of my favorite bleach fights!

sam cameron

#sundayrundown when you see aizen in this episode he has nothing wrapped around his eye and mouth well the reason for that is because the anime wanted to visualize aizen talking, but in reality, his mouth and eye were still sealed him and yhwach were just talking to each other with spiritual pressure

MONA.KUROSAKI

Can't wait for the next episode reaction, Ichigo and Byakuya's scene 💔

Jeriah Spencer

The video isn't working for me 😭

penguin299

Not quite, he lost his physical zanpakuto, but he did fuse with his zanpakuto first and retained his actual abilities. He essentially just lost the blade itself. He absolutely could have a bankai.

Alex M

#Bleach #SundayRundown Royd’s abilitie could only copy 80% of Yhwach’s power, and a 100% of his memories. So his reaction to Zanka no Tachis’s south bringing back his dead homies is truly how Yhwach feels on the inside, even if the real one doesn’t show it.

Ginzo

Episode is a 10/10. Writing wise....I always hated Kubo for hyping up Yamamoto as this big threat and then having him die a meaningless death. He needed Yamamoto gone for plot reasons but he didn't want to let us down for hyping him up all these years. So, he has Yamamoto use his Bankai, accomplish nothing, and die. " But his Bankai could destroy the entire world!!" Doesn't matter, he's dead and will be forgotten in the next few episodes. There are no lasting consequences other than him killing a lackey. Kishimoto{Naruto) is just as bad when it comes to writing but at least his protagonists had meaning in their deaths. But again, the episode is a 10/10. The studio is elevating the source material to new levels.

Mugen Shiratori

I have rewatched your reaction to this like 5 times now! Just so good! That one shot where in the past where Yhwach is getting ready to shoot his arrow, you can see Sasakibe stand atop the pile of bodies behind Yhwach. Metal af! Also his dead army numbers 3 trillion.

Mugen Shiratori

And the VA of Yama is the Madara's VA! So him saying "Let's Dance" hits different!

To the Normies, What a coincidence that on YouTube Ep 294 is about to be posted following you guys having reached TYBW episode 6 on here, both centered around Yamamoto. Fun Fact: The one who Yamamoto was referring to with “Believe me, you would not be the first fool who thought he was strong enough to take me down” when speaking to Aizen, is Yhwach. Saint Zwinger = "Sanctuary Veneration” and Btw just a heads up, the latest 3 episodes you guys forgot to include on YouTube is (370) with as Episode 4, (371) with as episode 5, and (372) with as Episode 6.👍

We need Rana to film a separate reaction for Episode 6 if possible. We've been waiting, we need everyone to see this. This is literally the highest rated Episode of Bleach

Anderson Lake(The Bleach)

Don't agree with you on that. The fact it was a "meaningless" death is what makes it good. The futility of war and how there is no guarantee that you'll have a good or meaningful death. I can agree that writing wise there are problems but not this one. It's supposed to feel helpless and it does have a lasting affect on the people left behind lile the captains, especially Shunsui. You even see it in Yamamoto's face at the end. It's a powerful frame as he looks and is forced to accept that he failed to protect everything he built and his people.

Nabeshin

Such a sweet story. I hope they read/watch it! 👍🏽

#SundayRundown #BLEACH HAHA! Yamamoto saying "Shall we dance?" 😆 I'm watching the dub of TYBW for the first time with y'all, so I didn't know Neil Kaplan had brought that li'l chestnut back from "Naruto". I wonder if that was his idea, the director's idea, or just a happy coincidence. --- BTW, I think I might've gotten a bad manga translation when I read chapter 510 for the first time; 'cause I was just as confused at the explanation of the Lloyds back then as anime-only's are now with no explanation whatsoever. 😂

Royd doesn't copy power, Loyd does. Both can copy a person's appearance but Loyd copies their power while Royd copies their memories. The top 2 theories as to what happened to Kenpachi is either Yhwach soloed Kenny then switched with Royd, or that Yhwach gave Royd enough of a power boost to avoid suspicion.

Ichigoat

It's not the highest rated anymore actually with Cour 3

Daniel Bernacet

Episode 6 was so 🔥 (pun intended) that no other episode could possibly surpass it right? 😎

Benjamin Donahue

The biggest catch 22 in Shonen is that the concept of the "strongest" really serves as a benchmark and basically automatically determines a character will lose to show how big the threat is or they have to subvert them to make the stakes real. There are numerous tiles as examples: Kages, ANBU, Captains, Special Grades, Gild Masters, S Class etc

Arctic_stark

#sundayrundown Aizen's aura might be unmatched in anime and its only grown. He carried 400 episodes of the main anime as the villain and yet he is as awe-inspiring as ever when he shows up here. His character is also handled really well. He is done as the main villain when we see him now but he is still true to who he always was.

penguin299

#sundayrundown Since you didn't notice it, the 3 sternritters that Yama took down in a single blow/explosion were As Nodt (who killed Byakuya), Bazz-B (who killed Kira), and NaNaNa (who we last saw fighting Rose). These guys weren't scrubs, but Yama threw them aside like it was nothing. He is "old man strength" incarnate.

Conflictor

It’s only better in terms of animation and arguably spectacle stakes, nothing else. Next episode is arguably the best one.

Unstablebeast

The copy of yhwach was not as strong as the real one

Jack Hawker

Kubo stated in club outside that "the royd brothers can each fully copy either memory or power respectively, while everything else is copied in proportion of 70-80%." so during the fight with Yama Royd has 100% of Yuha's memories and 80% of his power.

Ultimate Waifu

There mind’s were BLOWN AWAY without a trace

J. J.

Chris is right, TYBW is just another anime, it's crazy how much they elevated Bleach on it's return.

Anakin

Definitely one of the best episodes and fights in Bleach. RIP Yamamoto. The oldest and strongest of all Soul Reapers. "no one born in the last thousand years has been stronger than me" So powerful both main villains of the series has to trick him just to get the win. Aizen with his Wonderweiss scheme and Yuha with his clone. Neither one could have one straight up against old man Yama. Also i love how powerful his bankai is portrayed. Just activating it for a small period of time risks destroying the entire world. This is why he doesnt use it against Aizen in the Fake Karakura Town arc. Also, just want to say i love the english dub voice for Yuha. Getting Richard Epcar was brilliant, he does such a good job in the villain roles. Everytime i hear his voice i just think to my childhood watching digimon. He plays Myotismon who is one of my fav villains from that show.

Mugen Shiratori

I've seen people say this before (looking at you MoistCritikal). What you forget to take into account that this is what WAR is! Even the greatest people die the stupidest deaths! Let's go to Achilles for example. Dude killed so many heroes and got so much glory but died cause he got shot in the heel!

Santiago Velasquez

TOP TIER ANIME moments...and you know what..its just elevates from here.. it does not slow down. The story action will slow down but it stil incredibly rich even in the slow moments.

WHEN IS EP 7?

Muhammad Affan

There are 34 more episodes and then 13 or 14 more episodes of season 4 so u r in for a ride.

Kafkaesque

#SundayRundown #Bleach Regarding the impostors, Kenny DID beat one of them since there were two, Kenny wasn't "faked out", they didn't switch because Kenny killed him already. 1. Loyd: Copied Kenpachi and was actually killed. -Loyd can perfectly copy power and ability 100%. 2. Royd: Copied Yhwach and the one who beat Kenpachi and fought Yamamoto. -Royd can perfectly copy memories, spirit and most but not all of Yhwach's power.

Kayso

YamaGOATo is really him. I remember when we first seen a glimpse of his power in soul society arc when he went head up against Kyoraku and Ukitake. Too badass. Then his battle with Ayon ofc the big monster thing combined with Harribel's fracciones. Yamamoto is not to be played with. He was going light. Then ofc the battle with Aizen, clearly Yama was holding back. His bankai was amazing. Tybw started off with a bang

Kingu Crimson

Hey Normies glad your enjoying TYBW so far. Also seeing as how your almost done with the first cour (eps 1-13) you should be able to finally watch the opening on episode 12 or 13.

Bleach Expert

#SundayRundown Bleach One person Lloyd Lloyd and one is Royd Lloyd. They’re twins. One was killed by Kenpachi, the other was the fake Juha.

Ichigoat

Yeah in pure effects animation but several episodes I would rate higher than ep 6 in Cour 1,2 and 3

Muhammad Affan

Only ur opinion. All Cour 3 episodes were damn good and i can tell 5 episodes better than this

Maximum Homerdrive

#SundayRundown You should have a bankai bingo type thing for the bankai that the normies are expecting to see (but haven't seen yet)

Patrick

just FYI, the first episode of TYBW isn't in the patreon Collection thing for TYBW

Bleach Expert

Not quite true. His zanpakuto merged with him. And zanpakuto are their masters are one together, it is a part of their soul. So what you've observed is not that his zanpakuto was lost, but rather he currently doesn't have a manifested physical sword for us to see. Zanpakuto take on the forms of swords as a tangible item. But their real forms are within the inner souls of the soul reaper. For instance, Ichigo's inner world is where he can see old man Zangetsu.
