jayjay2961

THANKS FOR THE EARLY EARLY ACCES

Silvermoon

My second favorite episode of season 1 the best one is coming!!

Anthony

Micky loves that polar dog so much

Hashashin

yes, amon is aang.

hays collins

Oh my god your reactions were so funny. I love all the predictions. Trust me you’ll be surprised by the end of it

Anonymous

Don't worry guys about comparing the Romance in korra, even the hardcore fans which are maybe most teenagers, think that the romance is poorly handelt.

Jay M

Nahid: "Is Amon Aang?" *flashbacks to that believable photoshopped image of Amon Aang when Season 1 was airing*

hays collins

I knew you guys were going to flip out when you saw Amon at the top of the stairs and when he resisted tarlocks blood bending.

Sean Penn

I love how excited you guys are by this episode! This is one of my favorite episodes of Korra. Every time they show Amon they make him more and more terrifying. Here we have seen Tarlok take down some of the strongest benders in the show with ease. Then Amon walks in and makes Tarlok look like nothing.

Anonymous

always makes me feel valid when others share my 'damn 40 y/o aang can get it' sentiments lmfao.

Medusa

Ok but like Rana just became my favorite because she mentioned Charmed 😂💯 Great reaction guys

Azmi

Such an amazing and important episode. There's a bit of closure seeing them grown up

Cactus Tony

The reactions to the Amon/Tarlok twist were great. Rana's mind was blown!

Kris

Amon walking through that blood bending is one o the most badass things in all of Avatar

Anonymous

It’s KOOOOOORRRRAAAAA finally

Rebel Pilot

the better or worse is... wrong idea to compare the shows to me: In my mind Korra as a show took greater risks. Sometimes they missed and sometimes they were hugely successful and worth it. At its best it surpasses Avatar in my eye. but at its worst it really is bad compared to avatar. Last airbender was a more solid stable quality show. Also less plagued by Production woes. that lie more with Nickelodeon dicking the show around than anything else.

Burooj Ahanger

you cant fight it, thats why it was made illegal.

Burooj Ahanger

its a good thing they get rid of the bad romantic plot lines later

Adam is Magic

Please two Korra episodes a week you'll get more Patreon supporters this way!

Collin

i loooove the animation quality in this first season, its just too obvious that they had more money in that sector for the first season. not that I complain tho

Jac99

Missed opportunity for some more zoom-ins on Nahid's "I think" at the start

Adam is Magic

It's not a mutation there just very powerful.

Anonymous

You guys are awesome....nice reaction to a good episode

Anonymous

This one is tied for my favorite of the season it was soooo good

Rich Cassou

Great reaction, gets better and better from here

Anthony

I'd totally be down for Rana and Hannah do Breaking Bad

I think something that A:TLA and Korra have in common is that they both deal with mature concepts. In the third episode of A:TLA, they address the fact that firebenders committed genocide against Aang's entire people. What makes A:TLA feel more like a kids show compared to Korra I think comes down to how humor is handled. A:TLA could be more silly, as Aang is a very silly character. Bother shows do a great job dealing with deep concepts.

4Tom4lepus4

I think while both dealed with deep concepts, they dealed with them differently, especially when it comes to effects on the psychology of the characters. I don't think there wasn't as much of an impact with the genocide thing because Aang pretty much stayed the goofy kid after we found out about it.

Ayeeeee PLOT TWIST LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER!

Drew

The Romance never goes away, but in my opinion they handle it much better as the show goes on. Personally I enjoy the romance for what it is.

Drew

As others have said, I don't think it is good to constantly compare the two shows. They are both fantastic but they set out to do very different things. Korra is not meant to be Avatar 2, it is meant to be a seperate story, with different ideas and different ways of handling things. In my opinion there are many things that Korra actually does better than TLA. Because of the fact that Korra was aimed at a more mature audience they were able to be a little more upfront and clear about the more mature themes in the show, where TLA had to sort of dance around certain subjects.

Anonymous

Yes! Been waiting for this!

Jordan Alford

I honestly cannot wait to see Nahid's reaction to the season finale. Korra really aint a kids show

Anonymous

its impossible for it to be Aang, first of his ideals make no sense, second, he'd be wayy too old, third, its impossible to have 2 avatars at the same time, the next one is born the second the last one dies. That's a basic rule for the show.

Anonymous

The whole avatar series from Aang to Korra, it’s never been a kids show. TLA includes genocide while LOK includes politics.

Anonymous

Amon = 4 letters Aang = 4 letters Amon is aang.

Gene Bookwalter

Best amon theory: Zhao made a deal with Koh in the spirit world. In exchange for energy bending and passage back to the human world, Zhao gave up his fire bending and wears a mask to rep Koh getting revenge on the Avatar for both parties.

Christopher Solero

glad to see them enjoying this series so much

Anonymous

Yes was waiting for this episode 😂😂

Anonymous

“I am the solution” best line of the season 😂

Jackson Ranger

Zuko was the Firelord, he was in the Firenation.

Ben Wenger

Eeehhhh? S2 handles it terribly, and it's effectively written out of the show by S3.

Ben Wenger

The stuff with Tarrlok is my favorite of S1. Amon is a good villain for being this dark, mysterious and intimidating figure, but Tarrlok was a more interesting antagonist IMO. And the show handles him really well. At first he's just kind of sleazy, but not really a bad guy. Then it slowly becomes more and more clear that he's actually a bad guy -- but still he isn't really doing anything TECHNICALLY wrong, so there's nothing Korra or Tenzin can really do about him. Then he starts bloodbending so it's like "osht he's for real" -- and then poof -- Amon takes his bending and he's done. It's a near perfect ramp and a great conclusion for him as an antagonist. Up through this episode, it's more like he's the primary antagonist of the show and Amon is more of a plot device to give him motivation. But now at this point Amon becomes the primary antagonist. And while I do like Amon..... he's no Tarrlok, so the show starts slipping a bit for me at this point. But it's still really good. ..... until S2. S2 is terrible. Just about every decision they made that season is wrong and bad. Hopefully you guys can ride it out without giving up =x

Katarina Kurko

It's not that bad. We do get to see someone ,and see the past. I can't say much because it's a spoiler. But I do agree,it wasn't the best season.

Anthony

I enjoy many parts of season 2

John Doe

I AM THE SOLUTION

Anonymous

Season 2 is not bad, it’s just my least fav season. So many awesome scenes and lore in season 2.

Anonymous

...and interesting politics, not "Phantom Menace" politics.

Anonymous

Did you guys catch that Bloodbending was made illegal and that's why Yakone was arrested for it?

Jose

I must say, so many people dropping their comments that they don't like or that kinda like season 2 but wasn't one of the best seasons from The legend of korra; however, my opinion from this is that Mike and Bryan at least tried to make this possible for us to watch rather than producing nothing. Season 2 was interesting and awesome the way of the story goes and yes i agree there are some aspects that some of us didn't like, but that was the purpose for Korra to develop her character in general.

Ben Wenger

It might just be my comments you're seeing XD. I'm kind of a Negative Nancy when it comes to S2. And yeah, I'm certainly glad they continued the show, I mean, I positively love both S3 and S4. I just think S2 was a huge misstep. Just about everything that happens either undoes the lore of ATLA, or undoes the character development that happened in S1. Coupled with some really, really contrived ways to push the plot (or subplot) forward and probably the worst and least interesting villain of any TV show I've ever seen. So... I mean.... I'm glad they made it. And I've watched it more than once. But ... it's pretty bad.

Ben Wenger

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS Here's an example of what I mean. In S1 they do the whole love triangle thing with Mako/Korra/Asami, right? I'm not the biggest fan of it, but it's fine. It's cute at times. It doesn't really bother me. By the end of the season, Korra and Mako are definitively together. Fine. Great. Done. Then in S2... they do the exact same thing AGAIN. Oh Korra and Mako are fighting and now Asami is back in the mix. We saw all this already.... but okay.. whatever. Then they close the book. Mako and Korra break up. Pretty definitively. Mako goes back to Asami. Fine. Done. But then.... THEY DO IT AGAIN. The EXACT same thing. A 3rd time. They give Korra **AMNESIA** just so that she'll forget she broke up with Mako. And yes, that's the only reason she gets amnesia. It has no other impact on the plot. It's sooooooo bad. And soooooo dumb. And don't even get me started on the character assassination of Lin. Ugh. It's almost criminal what they do to her in S2.

Justin Neason

Yeah, not gonna lie, I skipped a big part of season 2 soley because the spirits and Rava and vatu did not feel anything like The Last Airbender. Those are things Aang definitely would have know if that were the original lore, considering he was extremely spiritual and could just focus and have a nice chat with multiple past avatars whenever he wanted. It didn't seem right and even the spirit world looked different from how it used to. I was expecting stuff like tha face stealer or wierd forests with a panda thing, but nope. We got a bunch of hyperspeed light-demons that looked like some samurai jack stuff. Lol bit of an overstatement, but ya know.

J.

All this talk about how bad season is. I did think the first few episodes were kinda ‘meh’ but it quickly picks up after the ‘Beginnings’ episode. I actually loved every episode after that.

Anonymous

Completr bullshit. Nothing in LoK came close to the mature themes of ATLA: war, genocide, propaganda, brainwashing etc etc. It's just an empty argument to make it look like LoK comes even close to being a decent show.

Phonic Reassignment

keep in mind tophs cosmic sense is planetary after ATLA in the comics before Korra so her daughter's is pretty high up there too

Phonic Reassignment

yall actually didnt watch korra before hand i appreciate that like a lot, ppl who've reacted to this series pretend like they predict the exact thing but anybody with a unique mind would predict many different outcomes not the exact one so props to yall for authentically reacting to this series. in the end im one of the people by season 4 that liked korra more

Anonymous

When it comes to how fast things are developing it can help to keep in mind that Korra was initially supposed to just be this one season and not more! The rushed romance as well as some other things towards the end get a lot more bearable if you keep that in mind :p Otherwise great reaction! I really enjoy seeing you guys experience it all

Buena reacción!!!!!!!

Their reactions are always the best! The sheer shock when Amon stood at the top of the stairs was great!
