Still working to the last minute!

I will always feel the lack of not working 10 pages ahead of my patron releases... Grrrr.....

Everything is on track - there'll be a lore page out on Wednesday. 463 has not been completed and will come out on Friday. Deadlines will be met. I'll make damn sure 464 comes out on time as well...

Also included an image of the battle site.

This going exactly as expected so far… will our intrepid band of nudists make it out alive? Find out next time on, WARDEN

How would the mana void react to things influenced by mana? Lets say the Prisoner pulls out a mana powered rail gun, to the surprise of everyone since he's nude, and launches a ordinary piece of steel at Aegis at 8,000kph?

Groz

there is a bit of force within Aegis' Aura - enough to blunt most arrows. But... Aegis would be flattened by modern weapons. As he would if he got crushed by a boulder. I won't get into the power set in more detail as we are in an active battle in the comic.

jbezorg

It would be a good lore subject along with the other mana oddities. A mana void implies the existence of the opposite like a mana nova.

Groz

yea - I'll have to consider doing more lore pages after this series is done - will create a poll to see which lore subjects to cover.

Peli nore

Using magic to throw big rocks at him do seems like the best course of action against such an opponent tbh.

Groz

definitely the logical choice... I wonder if the Prisoner will do that... hm....

Afrikan Blond

Bit late to the party on this, but this is Aegis' creator and often Groz's second set of story and quality eyes. The mana void is basically a meta-magical field that repels mana like a magnets of the same polarity, and magic interacting with the physical world imparts mana as a direct or indirect consequence. Anything that uses magic, be it the power source to a sci-fi weapon, or the physical aftermath of a fireball, will have some charge to it that the field will interact and apply resistance to. The man's power basically forces people in a magi-Punk world to fight him like it's the 1400s, or waste a large amount of magical power trying to get him. His weakness is non-magical, mundane weapons in the hands of common soldiers.

Groz

this is true. But I want to impart that Aegis can focus his mana void abilities into his sword - it allows his weapon to tear apart the magic within an object, weakening it, and causing it to be easier to cut. His abilities has its limits of course and it is not perfect.

Does a Soul, Id, Ego, Superego, whatever require mana in this universe? Even the tiniest bit?

Groz

No. Souls and what makes a person who they are do not require mana. But the vessel that a soul resides in could be mana based. Such as a soul crystal used in necromancy. A soul can be captured at the moment of death before it moves to the unknown.
