The thing is, imo, that they show how Elliot, and the rest around react to the mental issue as flawed characters. Not how they should react as contious and properly instructed people about mental health. Most people don't know what is good or bad on that subject most of the time. It's starting to be more of an open subject now, but not 10 or 20 years ago. especially Elliot, the one person that was a parental figure for him recently was his actual dad, in his own head. it's probably very hard for him to find the will to fight this, even now that he knows. I get that for a person in mental health, their ways to answer these issues can be enraging, but it's just normal people, with flaws, their own issues, traumas, a lack of knowledge, misinformations etc.

It feels like the show is mostly frustrating you both at this point. As much as I'd love to see the reactions continue, it’s not worth it if you’re not genuinely into it. Mr. Robot has a unique pace and style that may not work for everyone, and watching you push through just for the sake of it might take away from the experience. If you’re really not feeling it, maybe it’s best to let it go and focus on something that’ll be a better fit for you both
