🚿🌚Shower Witchcraft + a New Moon Ritual🚿🌚 (Patreon)

Happy New Moon! One of my favorite ways to cleanse during the New Moon is by doing a shower ritual. This ritual is for cleansing and protection, plus it can be modified for a bath, too! The PDF printable is included in the attachments on this post and I typed it below for those who don't want to print it. Enjoy!

I’m not a huge bath person because the bathtub at my place isn’t the best. I’d love to get a tray with a book, crystals, candles and wine then fill the tub up with essential oils and herbs, but mine just isn’t the best for that! I do, however, love to make my showers magical! Sometimes we either don’t have time to take a long, elaborate bath ritual or we don’t have a bathtub to use. You can even make quick showers magical and cleansing. Here are some tips you can try to make your shower more witchy and magical:

Note: Feel free to adjust these tips to work for a bath!

🚿Shower Magic Tips🚿

- Look for magical ingredients in your body washes, shampoos or conditioners (rosemary, orange, mint, lavender, eucalyptus, lemon)

- Use salt scrubs to cleanse your energy and visualize all the gunk going down the drain. Use sugar scrubs to draw in sweetness and abundance. 

- Use shower steamers! Orange or mint would be great in the morning for motivation, stimulation and waking yourself up. Lavender or ylang ylang would be good for at night to relax and unwind.

- Hang eucalyptus from your shower head.

- Make your own spell sachet with herbs to hang from your shower head.

- Write sigils or runes on the walls or mirror from the steam then wipe it away to activate. 

 - Carve sigils or runes into soap (such as cleansing or beauty, etc) then lather and wash away to charge and activate.

- Bring crystals with you but make sure they are water safe.

- Visualizes negative energy washing away down the drain and surround yourself with a white light.

- Put on some empowering or relaxing music

- Finish with body oil after your shower - different oils have different magical properties (coconut and olive or purification and protection, almond for prosperity, avocado for love or sunflower for energy)

🌚New Moon Shower Ritual🌚

Hello witches! Here is a New Moon shower ritual you can try for witches who aren't a fan of baths or don't have access to one. (You can definitely do this ritual whenever you feel called for more cleansing and protection, too). The best part about this ritual is that it is customizable, so you can work with what you have!

Materials:

- A black sachet (or any color you choose)

- Rosemary, lavender, dried rose petals

- Salt

- (Optional): Candles, water safe crystals

The Ritual:

If you decided to use candles to set the mood for your ritual you may light them now. White candles are great for cleansing and black candles are great for protection. You can use your favorite candle or any other one you choose, too. Feel free to cleanse your space before you begin if you want. Incense, sprays or sound cleansing would be great.

Next, if you chose to use crystals for this ritual, place your water safe crystals somewhere in your shower. You can place them on a corner shelf or along the edge. Some examples of crystals that can go in water are rose quartz, clear quartz and amethyst.

Now, take the sachet you chose and fill it with salt, lavender, dried rose petals and rosemary. Salt is for cleansing, lavender for positivity and calmness, rosemary for protection and dried rose petals for love. You can add or omit any of the herbs you choose to create your own unique blend. Once you finished filling your sachet, rub it all over each body part. Rub it over your arms, legs, torso, etc, to visualize all of the negative gunk washing down the drain. After, hang it from your shower head and visualize yourself surrounded by a white light

You can also repeat these affirmations out loud or in your head, as many times that feels right to you (Choose the ones that work best for you):

"I am rejuvenated and renewed with this New Moon."

"I am making space for new beginnings."

"Let the water wash away negativity and cleanse my mind, body and spirit."

"I make space for love, prosperity and abundance to flow through me."

Feel free to add your owns or customize these ones to fit yourself better. Include any prayers or invocations to deities you work with, too.
