Hey guys, here's the demo version of the 6th song I wrote for my 8 Challenge last February, which ended up on my new album "8 Days In A Bear's Life".

The picture on the cover was taken the same day. I had just written "Don't Say A Word" and realized that the album didn't have as many "happy" songs as I wanted, so I got in the summer mood and came up with an idea for a song about a pool party.

Since I started attending Beefdip Bearweek in Puerto Vallarta on a regular basis in 2015, one of the things that surprised me the most about bear events were the pool parties. They felt like heaven on earth (for the most part). Lots of beautiful and friendly bears in bathing suits, nice music, beer, sun... I know there are clothing optional parties at other events, but I'm afraid I wouldn't feel very comfortable there because they can get too hardcore for me (believe it or not, I'm still a small town boy at heart). The ones I've been to have felt like paradise to me, and that's what I wanted to convey.

At the time of the challenge I had just finished the melody and a rough outline of the lyrics, this is one of the songs I finished a month after the challenge. It was the day my husband told me about Bearland that I had the idea to finish the song, and this is the demo I made that day. In the spirit of the challenge, I didn't give myself more than two or three days to finish the song. You can hear the album version here.

The main difference is the beginning and the end of the song. That's a change I made in the next session when I finished the song, as you can now enjoy on the album. I could have gone more into a disco arrangement, but since the title hinted at the "house" element, I stayed with this style. Oddly enough, I only realized later that I should have titled the song "Pool Party", but that was one of those happy mind lapses.

Hope you have a great day, happy Thursday 😘❤️

Esta versión de demostración es tan bonita o incluso excelente como la versión del álbum. Me gustan mucho ambas versiones.
