Deadpool!!! (Patreon)

The week went by fast, because Yesterday it was Deadpool!!!, or an also my birthday. I'd like to say I need to slow down to give you the details, but nothing noteworthy happened. I made it to Laredo, TX, where I dropped the trailer then I was sent bobtail (that means I didn't have a trailer attached to my truck) to Oran, MO to pickup a brand new trailer an now I'm on my way to Quebec.

So, yesterday I went and saw Deadpool!!!

Let me start by saying I'm getting old. It was a twenty minute walk from the truck stop to the movie theater, and by the time I got there, my back was really angry with me. And I wasn't looking forward to walking back after the movie.

Another point. Deadpool (okay, the exclamation marks were my additions, they aren't part of the title) is not a family friendly movie. If you are planing on going to see it with your small children because someone told you it's a superhero movie, Do not. I'd say that you shouldn't take anyone younger than 16 to the movie, and if they are between 16 and 18 (maybe 20 if they are really childish) have a serious talk with them before taking them to make sure the understand that they will be watching and anti-hero movie.

Now that's cleared up, Deadpool was a &%$& good movie. It is one of THE funniest movie I've seen in a very long time. And there is almost no bathroom humor. I will admit that people familiar with the Marvel universe, movies and comics will get more out of it, but even if you don't know anything about Deadpool and his world before goign in, you will enjoy it. Just be ready for some violence, a lot of swearing, a good amount of absurdity and having Deadpool address you directly

If I wasn't going to be on the road, I would go and see that movie again in theater. It is THAT good.

Wait, I didn't even tell you what the movies' about, did I. It's about Wade Wilson, a merc who isn't an overly nice person, but still manages to find someone who loves him. Unfortunately, he finds out he had very generalized cancer, and in hopes of getting cured so he can stay with his girl, he agrees to be part of a very, and I mean very dubious procedure, and he gets screwed over. Then he goes after the people who screwed him.

There, now you know what the movie is about.

on to the writing.

This week saw me write 4 chapters of Missing son, a couple of which are on the long side. With this part we are getting in the sex, so be warned that there is incest between a father and his nineteen year old son, multiple times. there's also a pool party and we learn about the eccentricities of some of the Orr children.

I have no idea what's happening with Tristan, and I am not going to go look. I won't know until/if I start getting money from the online stores.

Wasteful death.... you know I just realized I'd told myself I'd been going over the comments from my beta readers today. I completely forgot and spent the afternoon working on Missing son. Oh well, I'll do that next week.

I did contact the artist who did the cover for Tristan and he has agreed to do the cover for this novel too. hopefully He'll be able to deliver it by the end of march as agreed.

Also that series finally has a name. "Needed Deaths"
