April's happy mail theme is centered around both food and nature ✨ It's sakura, or cherry blossoms! I have been seeing a lot of sakura themed goods in the market, like sakura matcha powder, ice cream, and even noodles(!?) So I found it fitting to make a happy mail theme of it as well (o:

For this month's sticker sheet, I wanted to illustrate springtime activities and themed foods that come out during the spring season in Japan. I have yet to travel there during the spring, but the most I can do is vicariously live through photos and drawing about seeing the cherry blossoms! The most challenging part about drawing the sticker sheet was doing the large sakura tree. I tried to make it slightly detailed by drawing in most of the flowers, but also still keep a simple style to go with the rest of the stickers. I think it turned out -still trying to discover how drawing trees with my art style looks like.

The vinyl sticker was incredibly fun to draw. I loved creating a world for my characters and imagining them really small, working in a large kitchen/bakery, and being little chefs 🥰
