Okay, I think I've got one more of these in me before I get back to Industrious over the weekend.  So look for Winning Peace 8 either late Friday or early Saturday.

Once again, thank you all for your support and I hope everyone's having a tolerable work week.  I'd say have fun, but that's pretty antithetical to remaining employed these days.

Im excited to see the reactions of horror by the secret society groups once they piece together that all of this mysterious activity across the globe is connected. Also, is it safe to say they, or whomever created the group, have been brainwashed by a Reaper or Leviathan?

So basically Ezekiel already controls a good part of the globe. It's just that people haven't really realized and internalized it yet. Nice bit with the AI. Frankly I see a situation in the future similar to the geth, but at the same time I don't think they are going to have the same reaction. Mostly because it is not Creators but Creator in their case and Ezekiel is far too smart ot fall for the same dumb shit panicked reactions from the Quarians.

I know one thing. When all Ezekiel is doing to save humanity finally comes out he will either be demonized or elected as the new god emperor of mankind. With how humans are I expect it to go the demonization route. Especially when those who would lose power start weighing in. On the other hand those who would decide to follow him would have a chance at a post scarcity society. Because the only way to have one is either clarktech or automated systems to do most of the work.

I don't think the reapers are to blame here. Frankly the interlude with the meeting read something more like Evangelion's Seele/Illuminati styled Shadow Cabal rather than indoctrinated/comprimised people. The horror is something we will probably see in the longer term future. We saw were Ezekiel was 5 years from the "short war" and the last 2 chapters were covering the time before that. So we still haven't really seen what he is going to do with the future. That comes later when his patience ends and he has to "get dirty". I still want to see what he is going to do now that he actually decided to go stronger into the whole "save humanity from itself" route. Gotta remember that he so far had restricted himself to "playing fair" using his tech to impose his views on to the world. If his gloves come off that things can get terrifing quickly.

Definetely demonization for every other opponent he has. Problem is that Ezekiel has the kind of advantages that none of the them have. The internet, for instance, is already partially under his control so his message and preferences are going to bleed over everywhere.

He has another, bigger resource: civilization itself. He is the one that sets the standard for education, for law, for everything. If he sets as a way to get citizenship a reasonable education, gives food and roof in basically a post-apocalyptic world than he can get mostly costructive criticism
