This episode was basically the background story. It gets better going forward. Once you are done you will definitely want to go right on to Fighting Mr. 2nd.

So yeah, Shu Yi likes the girl Yu Xin, and was planning to ask her out after wining the swimming competition. But he doesn't compete because of Gao Shi De arriving to the pool. Before he gets another chance to confess his love to her, he catches Yu Xi telling his best friend Weng Zhen that she likes him and wants to be with him. He gets depressed and decides to be emo in the pool, but Gao Shi De arrives (like he always seems to 🤔) and decides to kiss him when he refuses to get out of the pool. This leaves a lot of unanswered questions, like how did Gao Shi De know Shu Yi was in the pool? But the next episode answers that.

Shu Yi at the beginning was planning to ask his childhood friend Yu Xin to be his girlfriend after he won the swim race, but Gao Shi De showed up and his plan derailed. Then later, Yu Xin confessed her attraction to Zheng Wen, who was the other member of their childhood group. Zheng Wen was concerned how Shu Yi would take it, understandably. Shu Yi needed to have a good cry once he knew about Yu Xin and Zheng Wen and went off to the pool thinking he was alone...but Gao Shi De dove in again to "save" him. Perhaps frien-emenies could apply a bit to Shu Yi and Gao Shi De, but it seems Shu Yi has much more 😡 anger and frustration toward Gao Shi De than the other way around. One cool part of this series is how compact the episodes are -- and for you, you'll be able to breeze through the first season at your own pace. The second season, and you'll likely want to continue before going on to You Make Me Dance, is currently weekly on Fridays. Depending on what free time you have to view this first season, you might be able join the second season before it finishes. 🤩 You'll discover how the story builds as each installment comes along. I liked reviewing this with you as I picked up on some more details with you. One thing I often miss is facial expressions since I'm also reading at the same time. I've also come to really appreciate the skill of this cast and getting to see them again after knowing more about them just adds to it.
