this is an anime where I believe is just as good if not better on a second rewatch as you get all the insight on the characters. I still cry every time I watch this episode even though I know whats going to happen

I give more credit to the director Keiichirō Saitō. His first lead director work was Bocchi the Rock and Frieren is his second. He is immensely talented and will be on the lookout for any of his furture works
