Second box of tissues on standby

I think it's definitely implied if not shown that Singed gave Warwick/Vander the serum after everyone ran out. We see him later during the fight with the syringe device empty. The serum either cut Viktor off from Vander or cut Vander out of Warwick. It's why we see Warwick suffering but not in the same way as everyone else in the commune. It could be a combo of both Viktors death and the serum at play as well. Just an interesting thing I totally missed on my first watch through. Loved the video and can't wait for you to experience the rest of this season!

Yeah, Cait's turn was a bit quick for my taste. Though i suppose Ambessa going behind her back to make a deal with Singed already put a strain on their partnership

When Isha was running and they did the whole watercolour flashbacks of her and jinx, i fucking lost it. 😭😭

Caitlyn switching side was absolutely to expect after meeting Vi again. Caitlyn never stopped loving Vi, her grief, hurt and hate just drowned that out. In the beginning of this act we saw her exhausted after chasing Jinx without success. She was already questioning Ambessas way to handle things, questioning herself. Ambessa betraying her by making a deal with Singed hit their partnership hard. What did Silco once say? "As time passed, so did my hate." And the same applies to Caitelyn to a certain degree. Her hate consumed her too much, she is getting tired of it. For me it was clear that when she would see Vi again and they weren't that amped up emotionally, that she would immediately try to reconcile with her. Hearing that Vi wants to save her parent, something she failed at (in her mind), was the last straw. Vi calling her cupcake sealed the deal. You could see in her eyes how easy this word cut through all her defenses she built around herself...😊💖

The first time I watched, I had to go back and re-watch the chalk/sketch montage as Isha was running in because, you know, wall of tears. But it felt so powerful, seeing her life with Jinx through her eyes. Shining pastels, upbeat and energetic, dancing and joy. For as much as she influenced Jinx, her time with Jinx was obviously a bright point for her as well. The writers for Arcane do such an amazing job. I'd love to shake their hands, congratulate them on an amazing story ... After I kick them in the shins for what they've done to us all >.<

Girl, we HAVE to find something happy and/or hilarious after stuff like this. How about: Airplane! (1980), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), Spaceballs (1987), Galaxy Quest (1999), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), or even The Great Race (1965). Don't get me wrong, it is fantastic experiencing these powerful stories for the first time (again) through your eyes. That said, other than a few random Farscape episodes, we haven't really made it through a single show/movie without seemingly destroying your happiness and reducing you to tears. Those may be beautiful tears, but damn! You deserve a break!! That all said, THANK YOU!!! XL

Watched this saturday morning the day it came out cause I didn't work. I think I finished this episode at 10:00am or something. I had a feeling that Isha was gonna die but I wasn't prepared for just how much it was gonna hurt. At 10:00am my day was over, I had a nap immediately after and just existed in a state of limbo for the rest of the day. This is the first time a movie or tv show has made me cry this hard since I watched Marley and me when I was like 12.

I don’t think Victor knew what was going to happen. His discussion with Singed about fate show he’s trying to figure out if the future is set in stone but it’s after he gets blasted that he recognises there is a “message hidden within the pattern”. There’s an extra layer that he hadn’t accounted for.

jinx and isha ruin me on a visceral level and i will never be ok again ☹️

Nume Hall

That's an interesting point. I did wonder what exactly would've caused the extreme change in Warwick beyond just what was happening with everyone else; if you're right that he managed to inject Warwick that could explain it (since he said whatever serum he was making would stop Viktor from being able fully "wake up" Vander).

Have seen this a few times already and it still hurts. Isha is totally devoted to Jinx. See how quickly she bonded with Vander. She did that because she knew that Jinx loved him and would want her to do the same. Yet when Vander became the threat, she did what she had to do to protect Jinx. Probably knowing that Jinx or Vi couldn't do what needed to be done to stop him. That music going with the montage of Isha and Jinx playing is just heartbreaking. And that little wink and finger gun. Poor Jinx. How much more loss and trauma can she handle? Love Victor, but he's gotten a little cult-leader-ish. Proven by the fact that his followers that he healed all died when Jayce did his thing. People complain that Caitlyn's turn back to Vi's side was too quick. But there have been clues all throughout this act that she's tired of the tactics of Ambessa, and that her own blood lust for Jinx is beginning to wane. Can't wait for Act 3!!

You mentioned Viktor's "In the pursuit of great..." line, which has always stuck with me too, along with another from earlier in season 1: "When you're trying to change the world, don't ask for permission." Those pieces of dialogue were a good bookend to his season one story, and I feel like the quotation about changing the world seems even more applicable this season, both within the story and IRL. There's a hubris in assuming that we know best, and Arcane does a great job of showing how that can go off the rails

Some people taunted them about being anti magic and using those runes, basically claiming they were hypocrites about it... but I think they use them because they only absorb the magic, evening the playing field.

FalcorDragon

I think Victor couldn't really see/understand what Jace was doing because he couldn't comprehend the alternate reality aspect, the paradox.

John

Jinx didn't destroy Isha. Isha saved Jinx - in every way possible. I wonder how much Jinx could have healed if Isha survived? Am I the only one who had an impending sense of doom when nice things were happening. I knew it was all going to shit sooner or later.

John

I didn't notice watching the first time, but when Isha's life was flashing before her eyes, when she remembered her and Jinx dancing, Jinx's eyes turned blue again.

Joel Quinn

I don't think they have anything against magic. The only reason they are opposed to magic is because they are normal people without the gift and someone like Ambessa, who yearns for power and control, sees a threat in it. If she can use it for their advantage, they would do; I do not think she discriminates between the things that bring power, as long as she is the one in control. Is Noxus anti-magic? I thought that was Demacia and then your explanation would still make sense. But for Ambessa and Rictus, I never get the same vibes - just normals trying to even the playing field, be it by using whatever is necessary.

Joel Quinn

I like the bathtub scene when they colour Ishas hair - the little animation they do shows the excitement of a child so much. It is crazy how good those animation guys are at capturing such pieces so regularly and making a cuple of frames appear so real.

Joel Quinn

Mhm, I don't think so. I think the reason Vander/Warwick was different is because of his blood. Everyone else just died, but his blood/ regenerative power kept him alive and tried to withstand what was going on, hence the aggressive bleeding out. I think it was just what Singed was talking about - the apex shimmer at work fighting death - just not finished and perfect. But Vander was lost because Viktor was gone and Warwick's blood and the mindless beast took over. You might be right though; I remember Singed only when Viktor was talking and I thought it was just shown to portray their agreement on how to proceed now. After everything was gone, Warwick was probably knocked out from the explosion, and Singed got to do what he was planning all along before Viktor was fully gone, I assume.
