Also with regards to the Daichi comment, I've heard that is discussing weight is a pretty normal topic in Chinese/Japanese societies, it's probably just normal small talk

Merry Christmas guys!!! Also they talked about the tournament set up in episode 14. It's single elimination, one loss and the tournament is over. I think you guys were to excited about learning about the new team and missed it

About the convo between Daichi and his middle school buddy, there was a moment where the weight thing was at least poked at. The friend guy said Daichi's gotten bigger, and then Daichi responded with "Yokonika?" "Yoko" means side, horizontal, those kinds of things, so yes he was asking "Um bigger as in wider?" The friend probably didn't mean it that way and denies it too.

You guys can talk about the characters all you like, Haikyuu has an energy that knows just how to instill that enthusiasm and even their frustrations and angst onto us, the viewers. I like hearing you guys refer and talk about this because I am always talking about it to others! XD It's refreshing and Aaaghhhhh! Just perfection! Im pretty sure daichi friend was talking that his presence has grown, maybe as in stronger too. thats when "daichi friend" says "You seem bigger" the shot follows daichi from head to toe so I think its referencing how much daichi has grown since they last seen eachother. Also Merry Christmas!!! Awesome christmas present this was :D
