Gee, a kid who mumbles strategy to himself and was pumped about receiving a pro license. Where oh where have we seen that before recently? 😂

Also, it is interesting to note that as professional boxers neither of them can actually legally hit their opponent. A professional boxers fists are generally considered deadly weapons under most laws, and it's great that the show respect that by not having them street fight but use their skills and other ways to defuse the situation

Joking A bit here, but in all seriousness you can definitely on re watch see influence from this show to my hero academia

Jcw490

Ippo is 164 CM, they'll mention it. Takamura is around 6 ft, huge for a Japanese person according to the show

Jcw490

Mashona is a textbook villain? 😇 ok. Sure thing.

Rare

After digging online, takamura is about 6’1. Ippo is about 5’5

Actually that is a complete myth, having someones hands be registered weapons is silly. They woulnd't be allowed in schools, courtrooms, hospitals ect, it's just a myth made up to sell tickets or for immature boxers to brag

Jcw490

Never said they had to register dude. And I used the old colloquial version to be fair. But a boxer hitting someone with their fists is generally judged more harshly under the law, usually in the increased likelihood of an excessive force charge or attempted murder. But that’s not as succinct to say. But regardless I said considered (as in the case of a battery), nothing about registering.

Takamura is 6'1"

You cant really jab with your right (if your a right handed boxer) the idea is to stand with one leg back than the other so you get better balance and allows you to make yourself a smaller target (since you arent standing face on), if you are right handed you would typically stand with your right leg behind, that way you can use your left hand to punch really fast (jab) and when you use your more powerfull hand you use the rotation of your hips to put far grater force and ko power in your punch (straight), thats when people say "all of his weight was in that punch"

Same weight fat takes up more space than muscle.

It's the same, there is no way a judge would consider a fist a deadly weapon, many boxers are often more carefull but to a judge it's no different, you shouldnt be under more risk of getting punished because of a free time activity and it woulnd't hold up in court the same way you won't get punished harder because you lift weights.

This just isnt true, though it doesnt really matter what the profession of the person is, if you attack someone with your fists with the intent to cause serious bodily harm or death then they can definitely be considered deadly weapons in court.

Kroa Mega

They are considered lethal weapons in court. Of course you don’t register your hands and there are no laws stating this but if you are a licensed boxer and have experience in the ring most courts will charge you with use of a lethal weapon

The average height of a boxer in the 125 lbs (+/- 20 lbs) weight classes is around 5'5. As for Mashiba, for real world reference: Jamie McDonnell is a 5'10 British bantamweight (115 - 118 lbs) boxer.
