Anybody else think the bros have a little trouble detecting tone with this show? Pretty sure the Inosuke scene was not meant as comedy relief...

Xeltos, I had a problem with it as well in this episode. I care if the bros care about the show they're watching and pretty sure they do most of the time, exactly why this episode's reaction was so jarring. I'm sure they will get back on track later though.

It's probably a combination of the fact that they're watching a lot of comedy based shows at the moment, the fact that they find Insouke so funny and love him for it, and the knowledge that because this is a shounen show the characters probably aren't going to be killed off that easily.

Xeltos, no, I don’t “want” them to react one way or another, I’m with them just for the ride. But the way they react to events in the episode clashes with the tone of it, that’s where this is coming from. I agree with BP, most likely they went into it in a very giddy mood.
