I always love the episodes where Senku gets taken by surprise. It shows he isn't all knowing or overly intelligent. And that he is still human beneath it all. A young man who can still enjoy simple things.

Definitely! Like the episode with Byakuya backstory. At the grave you can tell at that moment he's just a boy who misses his dad.

Dr. Stone was my most improved anime of 2019 and definitely one of my favorites of the year too. At first I thought it was pretty generic, but man it grew on me so much because every week is such a fun different experience and the progression is exciting! Second half has so many strong episodes. I'll be sad when the bros are done.

Dr Stone definitely has some of the most wholesome episodes. For me I think I would say it was the best anime in terms of wholesomeness in 2019. Probably the biggest appeal for me even above the cool true science creations they make which is a big plus already.

I love this episode because it is so wholesome! the characters in Dr. stone tend to be simple and could be described using one word, mostly because of the sheer volume of characters in the story. like Ginro is the coward one, Kohaku is a tomboy, Magma is the meathead, which might make the characters seem one dimensional but moments like these are a great way to learn more about the characters. Also, you guys forget that Chrome was chosen because he is the only one who knows the caves so well. he is the only one who has experience venturing into caves and collecting various types of stones and minerals.

now that you're getting close to the end of Dr Stone let me just suggest a really good series called Golden Kamuy. It's well-written, has a diverse cast of interesting characters, and has a great balance of comedy, drama and action.
