Best comparison I could think of is in Warhammer 40k where a squad of Guardsmen could in theory take down a single Space Marine by shooting the weak spots such as the eyes of the helmet. However, said Space Marine is 7 ft tall, clad in power armour, charging at the squad to engage in melee combat where their enhanced strength can literally destroy them all barehanded. Not many guardsmen are brave or lucky enough to steady their aim to make a lucky hit....and that's why there are A LOT of guardsmen to make up for their lack of quality.
