This episode completely destroyed me. I knew I shouldn’t had gotten attached to characters. My friends always mentioned this, but yet here I am LOL. We lost Jenny today, and I was shocked due to me hinting it in this episode. I know we’ll get the real Angel back soon, I’m hoping before the end of S2. But once again I’ll see what happens.

And I like mentioned that I’m separating Angel and Angelus as two different characters. So all the cursing and jokes I’m doing is towards Angelus.

Due to my weekend being less busy, I’ll get to reading those comics now :). Also thank you guys for all the support on patreon, I know it’s a rough time (cause of the pandemic) it truly means a lot that I can interact with you amazing ppl.

Anyways, I hope you guys are being healthy and safe! See you guys soon!

Depends on how you read them. The comics I’ve received are in order of the episode timeline. The ones I attempt to read will be during S1 & S2.

There are basically several groupings of comics. Some are canon, some aren’t, some take place before the show, some take place after. What would be considered a spoiler in the comics isn’t always straight forward either, but I obviously won’t elaborate on that here. If it’s the original dark horse run of the “main” comics you’re generally safe. Those are really closer to fan fiction. If you start looking at some of the miniseries that came out while the show is airing you need to be more careful. Some of those are canon. For example, there’s a miniseries that is basically a retelling of the events of the movie but based on the original script, not what was shot.

Despite the sadness of the episode your reaction to Angel telling Buffy's mom that they made love was hilarious and had me 🤣🤣 As for Giles inviting Angel in, I just assumed it happened sometime off screen that we never saw. Maybe Angel helped Giles patrol in the summer when Buffy was with her dad for instance.

Also, regarding Angelus, remember what The Master said: "Angel. He was the most vicious creature I've ever met". And Angel telling Buffy about siring Dru.

Angel was never shown invited into Gile's place on-screen. But, Giles does say that he needs to do the uninvite spell, early in this episode.

Lie to Me 2x7 Angel - I did a lot of unconscionable things when I became a vampire. Drucilla was the worst. She was an obsession of mine. She was pure and sweet and chaste. Buffy-And you made her a vampire. Angel-First I made her insane. I killed everybody she loved. Visited every mental torture on her I could devise. She eventually fled to a convent. And on the day she took her holy orders, I turned her into a demon. So Angel tortured her for quite a bit

Can we talk about Anthony Stewart Head for a second? In the scene where he discovers Jenny, the acting is so on point. So GOOD. He goes from nervous excitement, to elation and confidence, to being destroyed. All inside of two minutes. And he never says a word. WHY did the actors on this show no win awards??? I hear Willow in the background crying and now I'm crying... OMG /hugs. That did wreck you. I'm sorry :(

I will happily talk about ASH all day lol I think he often gets left out of acting discussions because Giles doesn't emote all over the place but that's why ASH is so good, he can convey so much with the slightest expression.
