Mansion of eternal Illusions Part 1 - Pyra (Patreon)
Content
Hi there, my name is Seraphina and I am an adventuring monster tamer. That might sound a lot cooler than it actually is. I don’t have any pets or servants, I don’t even have a party I go adventuring with. I mostly do missions alone and with whatever monsters I find along the missions.
Yeah, to be honest, I am more of a monster whisperer than tamer, but that's not an option to tick in the adventurers guild, so here I am.
In any case, I have been told that a lot of people have gone missing in a Dungeon that people have been calling “Mansion of eternal Illusions“. Personally I have never heard of that dungeon before. But when I saw the reward, I knew I had to at least look at it a little closer.
And that’s how I somehow ended up here, on the tenth floor of the dungeon, facing the gatekeeper of the floor. Yet that was no monster I have ever seen before.
“I’m sorry, my dear traveler~“ It spoke, floating menacingly into the air, readying her enormous claws. Her draconic wings cause gusts of wind with every flap, yet she looked weightless since her lower body almost all but reduced to a trail of smoke, coming out of a lamp. “This is the end of the road for you. You can attempt to wish for me to go easy on you though… if you are a coward like that~“
I couldn't help but stare in awe at the creature before me. She was unlike anything I'd ever encountered - a mesmerizing blend of werewolf, dragon, and genie. Her massive form loomed over me, yet there was an otherworldly grace to her movements. Not to mention that her boobs were huge and her butt was huger. Holy crap.
"I... I'm not a coward," I managed to stammer out, trying to keep my voice steady. "And I won't be wishing for anything. I'm here to find out what happened to the missing adventurers."
The creature let out a throaty chuckle that sent shivers down my spine. "Oh, you're a feisty one, aren't you? How refreshing." She circled around me, her smoke-like lower body swirling ominously. "But I'm afraid those poor souls are long gone, little tamer. Just like you'll be in a couple moments~”
That’s when she slammed down on the ground in front of me, releasing a huge wave of fire in a circle around her as she smiled. “My name… is Pyra. And you shall become my prey~ Have at ya!“
I barely had time to react as the wave of fire rushed towards me. Instinctively, I dove and rolled, feeling the intense heat singe the edges of my cloak. As I scrambled to my feet, I could see Pyra's grin widening, her eyes gleaming with predatory excitement.
"Quick on your feet, aren't you?" she purred, even her trail of smoke leaving scorch marks on the floor as she stalked towards me. "But you can't dodge forever, my dear."
“Spirit Link!“ I shouted, shooting a small energy blast out in front toward Pyra. She had quite a bit of intelligence, thinking power and memories, so this should work.
“What the…?“ Pyra recoiled. Did the spell actually hit? Ah, yes, I could already feel a connection between us. Perfect!
“What have you… done?“ Pyra asked, floating groggily as she held her head. I don’t even need to open my mouth to speak anymore.
“You… seem a lot more human than I thought…“ I thought, sounding a lot less confident than I wanted. But that’s because something kept nagging at the back of my head. Ever since she introduced herself. “You are Pyra, right? The same Pyra that went missing from the guild recently, right?“
“What…?“ Pyra stumbled, her massive asstets jiggling way more than they had to. “Something… isn’t right…“
Spirit Link was my special skill and the reason why I passed as a monster tamer. It allows me to form an instant bond with a monster, even if not for long. As long as the bond holds, I can pacify the monsters really well and force them to not be aggressive towards me. But I can also use another trick.
And that is to look into their memories.
“Memory Rewind!“ I declared, and after a light gasp of Pyra, we both zoned out.
— Pyra’s memories —
The memory swirled around us, hazy at first but gradually coming into focus. I saw Pyra as she once was - a human adventurer, confident and skilled. Or at least she appeared mostly human, as there were some glowing crystals already on her body. She strode through the mansion's hallways, her sword at the ready and looking not at all like the monster she looks like at that moment.
“This shouldn’t be too hard of a quest. I have never heard of this dungeon before, but I can’t imagine a Volf being too much trouble.“ Memory-Pyra muttered to herself, clearly speaking from experience and not from cockyness. “After that I quickly need to reunite with the others. I can’t believe I lost them.“
She seemed very on guard, yet at the same time slightly distracted and in her own thoughts as she walked through the hallways. But that’s when something caught her eye, sitting in the middle of a room. It clearly looked familiar to her, yet also very different, that much was clear from her reaction alone.
I personally don’t know too much about what a “Volf“ was that she was looking for, but I knew what that bipedal humanoid wolf was that just layed their eyes on Pyra. That was a Werewolf.
“What’s this? A human dares step foot into my territory?“ The werewolf growled, his voice deep and animalistic.
“What… are you?“ Memory-Pyra asked, looking more caught off guard than scared. “I have never seen a talking Volf before…“
“I am no Volf, you puny little intruder. I am a proud werewolf. Anyone who has heard of me cowers in fear by the sheer mention of my name, Zefriss.“ The werewolf responded, giving off a howl that shook the entire floor of the building.
Memory-Pyra's eyes widened in shock. "A werewolf? I have never heard of that... Did I make a mistake somewhere…? What the…?" She trailed off as more werewolves emerged from the shadows, surrounding her. They looked smaller and less intelligent than Zefriss, yet ever bit as malicious as he did.
"Looks like we have ourselves a little snack, boys," Zefriss sneered, baring his fangs.
Memory-Pyra gripped her sword tighter, her stance shifting to a defensive position. "I don't want any trouble. There's been a misunderstanding. I'll just leave and-"
"Enough talk!" Zefriss snarled, his eyes gleaming with bloodlust. "Get her!"
The smaller werewolves lunged forward, their claws extended and jaws snapping. Memory-Pyra's eyes flashed with determination as she swung her sword in a circle. Suddenly, a burst of flame erupted from around her, blasting all werewolfs near her away from the swirling inferno.
The creatures howled in pain and surprise, their fur singed and smoking. The other werewolves hesitated, momentarily taken aback by this unexpected display of power.
Memory-Pyra didn't waste a second. She spun gracefully, her sword a blur of motion as she parried claws and fangs. With each movement, she released another gout of flame, the fire dancing around her like a protective aura. The air in the hallway gradually heated up as one after another the smaller fry werewolfs fell.
Until finally, only Pyra and Zefriss were standing.
Zefriss growled, his eyes narrowing as he circled Memory-Pyra. "Impressive, little human. But your tricks won't save you from me."
Memory-Pyra panted, her sword still raised but her stance wavering slightly. The constant use of her fire had clearly taken its toll. "I don't want to fight you," she said, her voice strained. "Just let me pass."
The werewolf leader lunged forward with blinding speed, his massive claws swiping at Memory-Pyra. She barely managed to dodge, but not before one of his claws grazed her arm, leaving a deep gash.
Memory-Pyra hissed in pain, her free hand clutching the wound. Blood seeped between her fingers, but there was something else - a strange, glowing substance that seemed to be mixing with her blood. That’s when she visibly started to sway, almost dropping to the floor.
“And with that, the fight is over.“ Zefriss spoke, towering over Pyra, licking the blood of his claws. “Don’t even try to fight it, it's impossible for you to win now. My claw was infused with the magic of the master of this Dungeon, getting hit by it forces anyone to become one of her subordinates.“
Memory-Pyra's eyes widened in horror as she felt a strange tingling sensation spreading from the wound on her arm. She watched, transfixed, as her hands began to change before her very eyes.
It started with a subtle shimmer, like heat waves rising from sun-baked asphalt. Then, as if emerging from beneath her skin, soft red fur began to sprout. The fine hairs multiplied rapidly, covering her fingers and creeping up her wrists. The fur thickened, becoming a lush, velvety coat that gleamed in the dim light of the mansion.
As the fur spread, Memory-Pyra's hands began to swell and reshape. Her fingers grew longer, the joints becoming more pronounced. Her nails lengthened and curved, transforming into sharp, gleaming claws.
Simultaneously, a peculiar tingling sensation began at the sides of her head. Her human ears started to fade, the skin and cartilage seeming to melt away. In their place, new growths emerged from the top of her skull. These new ears were larger, triangular, and covered in the same lush red fur that now adorned much of her body.
“What is… this?“ Memory-Pyra asked, feeling her new furred ears on top of her head with her oversized Paws.
“I just told you. The master's magic is now infused in you, and my reward for it is that you became a cute little werewolf yourself.“ Zefriss spoke, the hostility in his voice all but gone. “Yet it’s unlikely that the master would leave you just like that, especially on such a glorious night.“
Before Memory-Pyra could get out another word, a voice rang out from seemingly everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
<It seems like a person by the name of Pyra has lost their way into my home. They have already been turned into a werewolf, yet that’s far too light of a Punishment! Let them feel the dread of this HOLLOW night!>
Memory-Pyra shuddered as she heard the, then suddenly spoke up, seemingly against her will. “Dragon.“ She calmly stated, before putting her paws over her mouth to cover it.
As soon as the word left her lips however, a searing pain shot through her back. She arched, her body convulsing as two large protrusions began to form beneath her skin. With a audible crack, a pair of leathery wings burst forth, unfurling like great sails. They were large, easily spanning the length of her arms, and covered in glistening crimson scales.
The transformation didn't stop there. A burning sensation crawled up her spine, and Memory-Pyra watched in fascinated horror as her tailbone elongated, pushing through her skin and stretching outward. It grew rapidly, becoming a long, sinuous dragon's tail, adorned with the same brilliant red scales as her wings. And finally on top of her head, two sharp, red horns pierced outwards, causing her to look even more monstrous.
Yet without even a moment to process her own changing body, Memory-Pyra spoke up again. “Genie“
The air around Memory-Pyra began to shimmer and distort. A golden mist materialized, swirling around her feet and gradually coalescing into a solid form. With a flash of light, an ornate lamp appeared on the floor before her.
Simultaneously, a wave of tingling sensation washed over Memory-Pyra's skin. She watched in amazement as her complexion began to shift, the human colored skin melting away to reveal a smooth, azure surface. The blue hue spread rapidly, encompassing her entire body from head to toe, everything except her scales and fur, giving her a very contrasting red and blue appearance.
But the most dramatic change was yet to come. A peculiar lightness began to spread through her lower body, starting just below her knees. Memory-Pyra gasped as she felt an odd tingling sensation spreading from her knees downward. She watched in awe and horror as her legs began to dissolve into wisps of ethereal smoke. The transformation was gradual but relentless, her solid form giving way to a swirling, nebulous mass.
The smoke, a mesmerizing blend of deep blues, twisted and coiled around itself, creating intricate patterns that seemed to dance in the air. As her legs fully dissipated, Memory-Pyra found herself hovering slightly above the ground, connected to the ornate lamp by a thin trail of shimmering mist.
“My other half, Mythra…“ Memory-Pyra suddenly stated, her eyes looking slightly glazed. “I should be more like her.“
A strange energy began to pulse through her newly transformed body. Suddenly, a blinding flash of light erupted from Memory-Pyra's chest, engulfing her entire form. When the light subsided, the tips of her vibrant red hair began to shimmer and shift, gradually transitioning into a brilliant golden hue. The blonde color didn’t seem to spread too far, only staying at the tips, leaving the rest in her usual vibrant red.
Yet Memory-Pyra's posture subtly shifted. Her shoulders squared, her chin lifted slightly, and a newfound air of confidence radiated from her very being. Even if there wasn’t much of a change visible, there sure seemed to be happening a lot behind her eyes.
“I should be a knight for my master, guarding the tenth floor.“ Memory-Pyra spoke, this time however, she seemed different. Much more okay with what she said.
“Alright then, it seems like our master has already given you a task then.“ Zefriss spoke, turning around as he went to tend to the knocked out werewolfs.
“Yes. By my honor, I have to defend the gate on the tenth floor.“ Pyra said, picking up her own lamp as she started floating away from Zefriss in a very confident and dignified way. As if she had found a new purpose in her life.
Yet as she floated away, she spoke up one final time, her eyes glazing over again. “I must be punished for intruding. My breasts and butt need to grow… For my master.“
As Memory-Pyra uttered those words, her body began to change once more. She looked down in astonishment as her already ample bosom started to swell, growing larger and rounder with each passing second. The expansion was gradual but relentless, her breasts pushing outward and straining against her clothing.
Her bust continued to grow, defying gravity as it increased in size. Soon, each breast had swollen to the size of her head, creating an impressive and almost comical silhouette. The weight of her new endowments caused her to lean back slightly, adjusting her posture to accommodate their mass.
But the transformation didn't stop there. A similar tingling sensation began in her lower body, focusing on her hips and buttocks. Memory-Pyra gasped as she felt her backside expanding, swelling outwards at an alarming rate.
Her hips widened first, stretching to accommodate the growing mass. Then her buttocks began to inflate, each cheek swelling larger and rounder with every passing second. The growth was relentless, her rear pushing outwards and upwards, staying perfectly round during its expansion.
As her bottom grew, Memory-Pyra eyes were filled with a strange mix of fascination and disbelief. Her once proportionate figure was rapidly becoming exaggerated beyond belief. Each buttock swelled to the size of her upper body, creating an impossibly curvy silhouette. The sheer mass of her new rear caused her to balance out her chest better though, even if her butt was a lot larger than what her chest had become.
“This is it… I need to go to floor ten.“ Memory-Monster-Pyra said, slowly floating away as the floors and walls began to fade into swirling colors.
—
“What was… that?“ Pyra asked, looking around confused. I blinked, coming back to the present moment as the vision of Pyra's memories faded. The massive hybrid creature before me swayed unsteadily, her eyes unfocused as she processed the flood of recovered memories.
"That was... your past," I said softly, my voice filled with a mix of awe and sympathy. "I had a feeling when I first met you, but you weren't always like this, Pyra. You were an adventurer, just like me."
Pyra's eyes widened, a look of recognition washed across her face. "I... I remember now. I wasn’t an adventurer, but an Aegis, even if that might say very little to you." She trailed off, looking down at her enormous paws and voluptuous figure with fascination, before sighing.
"You were turned into this guardian against your will," I continued, taking a cautious step towards her. “So if you would j…“
“Yeah, I know.“ Pyra interrupted, resting one of her paws against her hips. “I remember now who I am and who I was. I actually appreciate a whole lot that you gave my memory a little spur.“
I felt like I should be relieved at her words, yet somehow, I was still on edge. The gleam in her eyes told me everything I needed to know. “But I can’t let you through. I’m sorry.“
“May I ask why?“ I asked, taking a guarding stance again.
“Because it goes against my honor as a knight to let an intruder through the gate I am guarding.“ She said, a smirk growing on her face as she got into a pouncing position again. “So if you want to get through, you need to find a way to get through… ME!“
I barely had time to react as Pyra lunged at me, her massive form surprisingly agile despite her bouncy assets. Her claws whistled through the air, missing me by mere inches as I ducked and rolled to the side.
"Come now, little tamer," Pyra taunted, her voice a mix of playfulness and condescension. "You saw my memories, right? So you should be able to find a way to beat me!"
I scrambled to my feet, my mind racing. The Spirit Link was still active, but it apparently wasn't enough to override Pyra's sense of duty. I needed a new strategy, and fast.
"Wait… ‘should be able to beat me’," I mumbled, narrowly avoiding a burst of flame from her mouth. That didn’t sound at all like she wanted to kill me… or even to stop me. It sounded more like she was still obligated to guard the door and hoping I would find the way to beat her.
Which is when I remembered. “The Lamp!“ I called out, jumping to the side to avoid another pillar destroying claw swipe, and gathered my footing. Indeed the lamp was still sitting in front of the door exactly where it started, with Pyra just floating around in the room still connected to it by a thin trail of smoke.
I sprinted towards the lamp, my heart pounding in my chest. Pyra's eyes widened as she realized my intention.
"Oh no you don't!" she growled, her massive form swooping down to intercept me.
But I was faster. Just as her claws were about to snatch me, I dove forward, my fingers closing around the cool metal of the lamp. I rolled to my feet, holding the artifact triumphantly.
"Ha! Got it!" I exclaimed, a grin spreading across my face.
Pyra halted mid-air, her expression a mix of surprise and... was that approval?
"Well well," she said, crossing her arms under her enormous chest. "It seems you've figured it out. But do you know what to do next?"
I looked down at the lamp, then back at Pyra. Of course - she was part genie. And genies do grant wishes, don’t they? But I have to be careful, if I get greedy she is absolutely going to punish me for it. I need to wish for something that doesn't force her to use her magic.
“I wish for you to no longer be needed to guard that door. I wish for you to be free and I wish for you to become my ally!“ I declared, holding the lamp forward. Pyra just broke into laughter.
“Hahahaha! You sure are something alright!“ She declared, snapping her paws three times before returning her gaze to me. “Granted, granted and granted. Glad to be on your side now!“
“L-Likewise.“
“You already know this, but I’ll introduce myself anyway. I am Pyra, the Aegis. Usually I’m not human, but a blade. Although right now I think I am more monster than anything else. Due to… circumstances.“
“Yeah, I getcha.“ I replied, stretching out my hand. “My name is Seraphina, an adventuring monster tamer. Nice to meetcha.“
“The honor is all mine.“ Pyra replied, snapping her finger again, causing the door in front of us to open. And with that, my adventure continues, this time, with another ally on my side…
