There are many things that I expected, and others that I didn’t. Pyra told me a great many things about herself and where she is from, which at first confused me a whole lot. Because a lot of what she described just seemed so absurd, that a certain thought began to float our mind.

“You really think we are from different worlds?“ Pyra asked, casually floating next to me as I was carrying her lamp.

“Most likely.“ I affirmed, looking around the surroundings a little bit closer. “I mean, think about it like this: almost everything you know about your world is different here. There are no blades, the monsters look different and we have dungeons. But those dungeons are even strange for what I know about my world, since never has there been a dungeon before that can turn people into monsters.“

“So dumb it down for me. What is your theory here?“ Pyra asked, her eyes flashing in curiosity.

“I think that this dungeon is like a gateway to different worlds.” I stated, yet sounded more unsure than I would have liked. “Although I really don’t know what the point of it is.“

Pyra however, rolled her eyes. Not that I can blame her for not believing me here. She responded with. “I don’t have a better explanation, but just saying traveling to different worlds sounds ridiculous to me.“

“Ohohoho~ Well someone seemed to underestimate the power of Isekai, and right in front of me no less!“ A voice rang out, catching both Pyra and me off guard. We hadn’t really been paying much attention to where we were going, and it just happened that the two of us were strolling through what looked like a garden-like area in a cave near the 17th floor.

The mocking creature revealed herself, being much more stationary than both of us expected. She was a girl whose lower body was almost completely covered in a pumpkin, yet what was left of her legs was some of the most muscular and toned legs I have ever seen in my life. Her six pack was truly legendary as well, and her curves were out of this world too. Many tentacles with eyes at their ends seemed to sprout from her, as well as two massive reptilian wings and a big horn on her forehead.

Other than the regular monsters we have encountered so far, she had a different feel to her again, similar to Pyra. Yet her demeanor was much more mocking than Pyra ever was. “Did you freeze in front of the greatness that is myself? Who can blame you? But you small fry dared to talk about the insignificance of Isekai in the great Archwizard Goddess Kazuma’s lair? How dare you insult me like that?! Clearly you have no appreciation for the finer details of a goddess’ job. How utterly quaint.“

Both Pyra and me stared at her, not because we were particularly scared of her, but because we both had to process what she just said.

“Uhm… Do you know what’s going on here?“ I asked carefully, trying not to make the first move.

Kazuma's eyes narrowed as she regarded us with a mixture of amusement and disdain. "Oh my, it seems I've overestimated your intelligence. Allow me to explain in simpler terms for your feeble minds to grasp."

She cleared her throat dramatically, the tentacles around her swaying as if preparing for a grand performance. "This mansion, this glorious realm of chaos and transformation, is a masterpiece! A nexus of worlds, if you will. Someone, in their infinite wisdom, has created a place where beings from various realms can experience the joys of... let's call it 'forced adaptation.'"

Pyra floated closer to me, her voice low. "I don't like where this is going, Seraphina."

I nodded in agreement, but kept my focus on Kazuma. "So you're saying you're responsible for bringing people here and turning them into Monsters?”

“Oh, wouldn’t you like to find out~!“ Kazuma laughs condescendingly. “But for that, you would need to get me to talk. And I doubt you’d be able to…“

“Spirit Link!“ I shouted, shooting the blast towards Kazuma.

“Eep!“ Surprisingly, it hit immediately, with her never even being fast enough to dodge. And on top of that, I could feel the connection being established just as easily. If I didn’t know any better, I would say that Kazuma has even less resistance to my spell than Pyra did.

“That was… unexpected.“ Pyra spoke, relaxing her posture a bit.

“What is… this?“ She said, her power quickly fading. For a big bad she sure fell for my trick astoundingly quickly. “I swear I am going to cast explosion and blow this whole room up! When… I get… my strength… back…“

To be fair, I did believe her that she was capable of doing that, but not as she was right now. In fact, she kinda seemed astoundingly helpless. But more importantly, connecting with her like that, she had this familiar aura around her. Something I have seen before with Pyra… Was she also a human at some point?

Only one way to find out!

“See you in a minute, Pyra! Memory Rewind!“ I yelled and everything went dark around me once more.

— Kazuma’s memories —

Once again the memory swirled around us, hazy at first but gradually coming into focus. Although what I first saw wasn’t exactly what I expected to see.

There was a guy who only vaguely resembled Kazuma stuck in a pumpkin headfirst in this very garden. And he was complaining a lot too, which could barely be heard by even himself due to the Pumpkin muffling his voice.

But there was no doubt. I knew it because of my powers. That was Kazuma. Memory-Kazuma.

Plop

“Finally! I can’t believe that spell dropped me directly into this damn thing!“ He said, having finally pulled his head out of the plant. “This new resurrection spell might be quicker than the old one, but boy do I feel the random 10% teleportation chance hard.“

That’s when Memory-Kazuma stood up. “Alright. Where am I?“ he said, taking a look around. He was standing pretty much in the exact Pumpkin field we met her, so there were only a few pumpkins around in the middle of the cave.

“…not a lot to go off of. I guess I’ll just… what the?“ Memory-Kazuma suddenly yelped, trying to move his feet. Yet somehow, he couldn’t. It was like his feet were sinking into the earth, without sinking into it. No, it was more like his feet were rooting themself into the soft soil.

Moments later, Memory-Kazuma’s shoes fell completely apart, revealing that his feet were orange and swollen. Within moments they gained mass and volume, growing larger and encompassing more of his legs until… everything up to his knees was just a pumpkin.

“What the hell? Am I tripping? Did I drink too much last night?“ Memory-Kazuma sure tried to move his legs, but couldn’t. He truly was rooted into the place.

Before Memory-Kazuma could get out another word, a voice rang out from seemingly everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

<It seems like a person by the name of Kazuma has lost their way into my home. They have already been turned into a Pumpkin, yet that’s far too light of a Punishment! Let them feel the dread of this HOLLOW night!>

Kazuma blinked. “That was weird as hell. How come… Girl. I need to be a girl.“

Suddenly his masculine features began to soften, his jawline becoming more delicate and his cheekbones more pronounced. His hair grew longer, cascading down his shoulders in silky waves. His chest expanded, developing into a modest but noticeable bust.

The transformation continued downward, his waist narrowing and hips widening to create a more feminine silhouette. Even his voice changed, becoming higher and more melodic. Within moments, Memory-Kazuma had fully transformed into a young woman.

"What the... what's happening to me?" she gasped, her new voice tinged with panic and confusion.

But the changes weren't over yet. Memory-Kazuma spoke again, seemingly against her will. "Curvy. I need to have a massive bust… and an even greater ass."

As soon as the words left Memory-Kazuma's lips, her body began to change once again. Her already feminine figure started to morph and expand in ways that defied belief.

Her chest swelled rapidly, growing larger and rounder with each passing second. The buttons on her shirt strained against the increasing pressure before popping off one by one. Her breasts continued to expand, becoming impossibly large and defying gravity as they ballooned outwards.

But the transformation didn't stop there. A tingling sensation spread across her lower body, focusing on her hips and buttocks. Memory-Kazuma gasped as she felt her backside expanding, swelling outwards at an alarming rate.

Her hips widened dramatically, stretching the fabric of her pants to its limits. Then her buttocks began to inflate, each cheek swelling larger and rounder with every passing moment. The growth was relentless, and didn’t stop until her behind was truly out of this world.

"Seriously! What is happening!?" she gasped, her voice a mixture of anger and panic.

But before she could process these changes further, another compulsion seized her. "Strong," she muttered, her voice taking on an otherworldly echo. "I need to be impossibly strong. I need to have the biggest six pack ever."

Memory-Kazuma’s arms and shoulders broadened, muscles rippling and growing beneath her skin. Her biceps swelled, becoming defined and rock-hard. Her forearms thickened, veins standing out prominently against her skin.

But the most dramatic change occurred in her core. Her stomach tightened, the soft flesh giving way to hard, chiseled muscle. A six-pack emerged, each abdominal muscle perfectly defined and impossibly pronounced. The muscles continued to grow and harden until her abs looked like they could deflect bullets.

Her legs, already thick and powerful from the previous expansion, became even more muscular. Her thighs bulged with raw power, and her calves became as hard as steel.

Despite the extreme musculature, Memory-Kazuma's feminine curves remained, creating a surreal juxtaposition of strength and sensuality.

"This... this is insa… Dinosaur.” Mermory-Kazuma spoke, cutting herself off and then bracing for impact once again.

A searing pain erupted from her forehead. She cried out, her hands flying to her head as she felt something pushing outward from beneath her skin. With an audible crack, a bony protrusion began to emerge, growing rapidly and curving slightly as it extended.

The horn continued to elongate, taking on the distinctive shape of a pterodactyl's horn. As the base of the horn widened, it gave her an almost regal, yet prehistoric appearance.

As Memory-Kazuma was still reeling from the growth of her new horn, an intense itching sensation began to spread across her shoulder blades.

With one massive, almost explosion like sound two large protrusions burst forth from her back, ripping through her already strained clothing. These new growths rapidly expanded, unfurling like great sails catching the wind. Leathery membranes stretched between elongating finger-like structures, forming the distinctive shape of pterodactyl wings.

As the wings reached their full size, Memory-Kazuma couldn’t help but be utterly confused. “What the hell? Why wings? I am rooted, aren’t I? What point would… Gazer! Gazer tentacles!“

Memory-Kazuma shuddered, suddenly feeling a strange tingling sensation all over her body. Suddenly, numerous viney protrusions began to emerge from various points on her torso and back. These quickly elongated into thin, flexible tentacles, each one tipped with a single, massive eye.

The tentacles writhed and twisted, seemingly with a mind of their own. They ranged in length a bit, but were roughly double the length of her arms, creating a bizarre halo around Memory-Kazuma's body. Each eye at the end of a tentacle blinked independently, surveying the surroundings with eerie precision.

"Okay, this is getting ridiculous!" Memory-Kazuma cried out, her voice now completely in annoyance. "What am I even becoming at this point? I bet if this idiot Aqua saw me, she could probably purify me. Hopefully… if Megumin doesn’t blow me up first…"

That’s when she suddenly stopped, her eyes glazing as she stared into nothingness. Her mouth moved by itself again. “I am… a goddess… dragged out of heaven, yet still better than everyone else… I am also… the Azure demon… explosion magic is my specialty… I love that magic very much… yes… yes…!“

"I am Kazuma, the Archwizard Goddess!" she declared, her voice resonating with newfound authority. "Master of explosion magic and superior to all mortals!"

The garden around her trembled slightly, responding to her proclamation. The pumpkin that encased her lower body seemed to pulse with an inner light.

"This dungeon... this realm of chaos," Memory-Kazuma mused, her eyes scanning the surroundings with newfound understanding. "It must be no coincidence that I have been sent here! I can feel it… a nexus of worlds! No doubt a goddess like me needs to protect it! Ahahahaha!"

She laughed in a tone that didn’t do anything to hide her haughtiness, but seemingly closed the curtain on the memory. As the fog returned, the last thing I saw as the floors and walls began to fade into swirling colors was Kazuma laughing at her own superiority.

“What an interesting technique~“ Kazuma spoke up, breaking the silence between us three. And also snapping me back to reality.

“Did you just show me the creation of the mighty Archwizard Goddess? How flattering~ You shouldn’t have~“ Kazuma giggled like a little girl, waving her hand shyly.

“Sooooo… does that mean that trick of yours worked?“ Pyra asked, to which I had no answer. Looking at Kazuma, she looks more elated than pulled out of her mind control.

“I hope so…?“ I replied. I really had no idea what this girl was thinking.

“Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but whatever you tried definitely didn’t work on me. I am still the same old awesome Archwizard Goddess I was before~“ Kazuma declared, to which Pyra immediately took on more of a ready stance. Yet I felt like there was something different about her now.

“That said, how about a little deal?“ Kazuma spoke, reaching out her arm menacingly.

“…what kind of deal?“ I replied carefully, now also somewhat on guard.

“I might be great and powerful, but I am not all that mobile at the moment sadly. How about we cooperate for a little bit?“ Kazuma asked with a smirk on her face. “I’ll tell you how this dungeon works and how to transform back your little doggy friend next to you, and you in exchange try to gather some items for me in this dungeon. What do you say?“

“Doggy friend?“ Pyra hissed, but I held her back.

“How can we be sure you know what you are talking about? After all, I did watch you transform into… that just a second ago, and you clearly didn’t know much about this back then.“ I asked, trying to be reasonable.

“A reasonable assessment, but what you don’t know is that I have ascended to godhood back there! And that gave me knowledge all everything I need to know about different worlds.“ She spoke, making grand gestures. “For example, I know that this werwolf lady next to you, isn’t from the same world as you. Or even a werewolf originally. Or human. Am I wrong?“

“…“ Pyra stared silently.

“Thought so.“ Kazuma giggled, striking a pose. “Once again, I will ask you, because you might actually have the strength to pull it off. Won’t you make a deal with me?“

After a short deliberation time, I finally shook her hand…

In a mysterious mansion that somehow seems to appear in all sorts of worlds, people have been beginning to disappear one by one.
