Doc Larry

I missed the popcorn with butter live yesterday. My apologies.

Loki Incredible

The Brendan Fraser cameo is probably going to have a lot of folks saying that now you have to watch Encino Man which yeah actually you do !

Shad Kanyak

House on Haunted Hill, now Son in Law. What’s next in the Carla Gugino marathon?

Cassie, surely you should have adopted this Margot Kidder voice for the Superman reactions! :-)

Samuel Champ

Pauly Shore also starred in a movie where he joined the military. Don't remember much about but, I remember liking it about as much as this one.

Stephen Dias

I love "A Goofy Movie" too. Gotta watch it again now! "Son In Law" was new to me and, yeah, fun movie.

Happy Hanukkah

Then again, maybe you wanted to make Perry White (the father in law) feel at home.

Mark Daniels

The first time I ever saw Carla Gugino and I learned God. Damn!

In the Army Now, and yeah, if you liked this you'll probably like that too. He's in about maybe 4 movies that are worth seeing, the other two are Encino Man and Jury Duty. I'd probably avoid everything else though, especially Bio-Dome. That movie was unbearably bad.

I'm weird but for me this movie was all about Lane Smith. I always thought he was an underrated comedic actor playing the straight man in movies. Also liked him in My Cousin Vinny, of course, and also The Distinguished Gentleman. I thoroughly enjoyed him constantly getting Crawl's name wrong in this movie, especially calling him "Crotch" 😂

Just watched this one, having not watched the full reaction on the grounds that everybody said it was molten doo-doo. First of all, Cassie, never lose that voice. It would get you movie roles. Second, I overlooked the fact that she actually enjoys this kind of thing. I would never watch it on my own, but as inconsequential as this film may be compared to the great films we want her to watch, I do like seeing Cassie relaxed, happy and totally in her element. Who knows? Maybe she’ll make me enjoy Howard the Duck too.

Clarence Newman

That might be weird, but we all have those guilty pleasures when it comes to supporting cast actors who, for some reason, always make the films they're in that little bit better. Forest Whitaker did that for me way before he became a leading man. Michael Rooker, Anne Haney, David Morse, Dom DeLuise, Bonnie Hunt to name a few more. Without them, a lot of really good films would have nowhere near the depth of character.

Cassie has riled up her cinephiles and they are crying...😭. Well, so far at least no Hallmark movies have popped up 😆.

Agree with every word of that Clarence. I’ve never seen this and this kinda movie is just not my thing. But Cassie reaction, makes it enjoyable. It’s why, when in comes to movie choices in polls I often go for the movie I think Cassie would like (as it makes for a better reaction) compared to a movie I want. I’ve seen “there will be blood” reaction once, despite it being a top draw movie. But I’ve watched Cassie reaction to Lethal Weapon 4 dozens of times, which, conversely was my least favourite LW! For instance I could talk about “Scarface” all day. In my youth I had a “say hello to my little friend” poster on my wall! I have a Scarface mug! But I’m just not bothered about Cassie ever watching it. She’s just would not enjoy it.

When I watched her full reaction, I went in with low expectations of the movie (a first watch). Her reaction made the experience better, but I liked the movie even independent of her reaction. The movie was hard to watch at times, but had its moments. I went in thinking the movie would be a 0.5/4 for me but rated the movie at 2.5/4 -- gave me a positive feeling -- glad I watched it. Pauly Shore was not quite as irritating as I thought he would be. Also, different seeing Carla Gugino so young, though she was recognizable to me -- I am fan of the older grown-up Carla Gugino (a great actor and beautiful). Travis was cast perfectly. The mother is pretty [also the mother in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)]. "I popped your daughter's trunk." "So I didn't bone her." "So he didn't bone me." "So you guys didn't bone."

Mike Lemon

Oh! I can't believe I didn't realize it before. The actor that played the asshat farm worker was also in the movie so many people are clamoring for- Indictment: The McMartin Trial (1995).

Chris Thom

The movie was actually kind of charming. Pretty sure I saw Pauly Shore's other movies as a kid, but only parts of this one. It was fun. His fish out of water schtick works pretty well because he's willing to laugh at himself as much as the surrounding characters. If the flick was made nowadays though I would actually feel more physical fear for the character. You'd be waiting for him to get shot.

Chris Thom

Snake Eyes! That's what I know her from. Thank you. Bet Cassie would enjoy Troop Beverly Hills if she hasn't seen it yet.

Clarence Newman

That's because of the beard, Mike (or lack thereof). I've seen Dennis Burkley in many good movies over the years (An Innocent Man, Tin Cup, Con Air, Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot), but always with a beard. It took me till the scene at the end where he gets fired before my brain finally went "Is that....? Is that....?" (Sorry, I can't do it, guys. I can't leave a suggestion hanging that I might think Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot is a good movie.)

Clarence Newman

Was it charming? Or was it just sprinkled with Cassie dust? That can happen with bad films, you know (Bill & Ted, Lethal Weapon 4).

Adam Doyle

FYI the Brendan Fraser cameo was a call back to a previous movie called Encino Man, which you might like to watch as well.
