THIS is a competition for patrons to submit their own bracket and the winning bracket winner will be like a trivia winner-you can give me 5 movies to pick and I will watch one of them! Did my bracket yesterday under nudging from the bracket organizer, Cole. I needed the nudging because I am so down on college ball this year. My team, NC State did great last year. Got to the Final Four and gave us War of the Worlds for Cassie to watch in the March Movie Madness thingie. But the three best players from last year graduated, another went abroad to play pro ball, and we got a new set of transfers. NC State did so poorly this year they not only missed the national tourney, they, for the first time ever, did not make the ACC conference tourney because the conference expanded to 18 teams and the bottom three didn't make it in. So season over, they fired the coach that took them to the Final Four last year! Believe that? Fans, and myself, are glad because he had to go. The team didn't do so great last year because of coaching, it was the players. And that is life for a college basketball fan! But I am super excited I have very long odds to submit my five picks to Cassie with this bracket, and even more excited about the movie picks! I want Auburn to win so Cassie can watch Blazing Saddles, but even more I want Houston to take it all because that is my pick in this bracket!!

It won't let me sign up. Same as Popcorn requests. I go through the process and it tells me I've failed right at the end ("Too many failed attempts" comes up very time, whether I've failed or not). As far as I can see, I'm not doing anything wrong.

Ok I’ve got it now thanks, so just picking who I think will win each game. I wasn’t sure if it was that, doing our own draws to the tournament (which I didn’t know how you would work that out) or it had something to do with the films attached to the teams.

You get 1 point for each correct matchup in the 1st round, 2 for the 2nd, 4 in the sweet 16, 8 in the elite 8, 16 in final 4 and 32 if you get the winner. I believe that’s correct anyways. 192 points would be a perfect score

There's a 'random' option toward the top-right which will fill it in, then all you need to do is guess a final score then click save bracket toward the top

Oh this should be fun. I have no idea about sports in general, and being Canadian, if I was to look at sports it would probably be hockey or curling, so basketball? I don't even know how many hoops you need for a touchdown! I used the autofill to generate my guess. LOL

Don't care much about sports (sports movies are a different story). I just looked at what the sports pundits were guessing and used those. Unfortunately the best movies have not been paired with the favored teams. My only hope at Cassie seeing the movies I want is to be lucky enough for my bracket to be accurate or have a lot of underdog teams beat the top contenders.

I'd have better luck doing laser surgery. Signed up but the site is absent of clear directions. I get to "your bracket is empty" in hopes to fill in 5 movies then go to typewriter symbol which then like 30 empty brackets appear and at that point it's a big WTF?

As everyone done this? I keep trying to get to some info on how to actually 5 films and I only get as far as the NCAA brackets and there's no place to just add my user name and the films I want to add. Love your channel beyond infinity, but this is a bloody headache and I really have top notch Cassie will love any of these films to enter.

I have absolutely no idea what I just did, but it says complete. Entering a final score was a challenge though. I do not watch any American sports and therefore do not know how they are scored. It wasn’t until I Googled two teams to find a random score to enter that I realised these were Basketball teams. It’s safe to say, had I know what this was about before I had to create a Yahoo account I wouldn’t have bothered.

For anyone thinking they don't know enough and are on the fence... From my experience you don't need to know anything. I did very well last year and I don't know anything about US college basketball, outside of March Madness being a thing. Being on the other side of the world, that can happen. So, you never know your luck in the big city... better to have chance than none at all. There's always the pick option as well.

Honestly, just asking everyone to submit five films and picking those names at random seems a lot less complicated than asking each of them to pick sports teams when some might have no idea who any of them are or which ones are good at the sport(night wanna research them), and people need to learn how a bracket works when some have never taken part in one, understand how to input them their choices into the Yahoo website, etc. It kind of feels like completing a scavenger hunt in order to win free candy. I don't even remember how a scavenger hunt works, lol.

I agree, Yoda, although making a sort of odd treasure hunt via game winners determining the result is like a lottery whether one knows the game or not, but even that mechanism seemed impossible to navigate; however,Cassie's enthusiasm for engaging everyone is hard to resist since she is so bright and engaging. I just feel disappointed I couldn't figure it out and bring some attention to 5 films I think she'd really enjoy.

Working with the movies that are left my ideal final four would be - Blazing Saddles, The Maltese Falcon, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and Watchmen* * - Godzilla or Kong would be my pick for this spot but Cassie has been hinting she may be planning to watch these anyway. And there are other movies on this side of the final four I wouldn’t mind either.

I just checked again, Cole, and I am re-confused. While there are red strikeouts in the round of 32, ALL of the strikeouts in the round of 64 are in grey. No reds at all. I must've chosen St John's too, though, because I mostly went for the lower seeds. I KNOW I chose Clemson! No big deal. I trust that my placing is kosher.
