Hey hey guys,

How was your weekend? I am loving being up here with my parents, I subconsciously revert to my teenage self while I am here and want like 4 different kinds of cereals for breakfast and midday naps. Also something I love about up here is it stays light and bright until after 10pm and it feels so summery and fun!

Here is what we have coming up this week! I tried to change it up a bit for my PPOTM and not pick as of a chicky-flicky movie, I'm actually really excited about this one! A Time to Kill, some people rallied hard for this one back in our courtroom poll for this one to take third in the end. And Spaceballs! Who knew?!

Ok just FYI, next week will be LA Confidential, the winner of the Oscars Past Poll-98 on YT!

I want to do a poll from Planners awesome app, how should I do it? Genre? Top 10? Let me know your thoughts.

Ok you guys rock my socks!

Victor

I would love to see you react to “Friday Night Lights” “13 Hours” or End Of Watch”

Colin Gutierrez

I can't believe I haven't seen anybody else suggest Pleasantville.

Joon S

We need to amplify this. Such an outstanding movie and would love to see a reaction.

Vryce

Since you "seem" to like a love story inside a good movie what about Finest Hours with Chris Pine?

ArsTropica

I've suggested previously and requested it on the app. It's one in dozens of films I hope we get to see Cassie watch...

Mike Lemon

Personally, I hate a "top ten". It's always the same movies everyone knows and everyone reacts to. I would much rather see a "middle 10" or "not quite bottom 10" and get some variety.

Planner

A "middle 10", what a strange idea. These are the middle 10 as of right now, according to the web app (ranked 1492-1502, with zero scores excluded and titles that Cassie has seen already excluded): Entrapment (1999), Gemini Man (2019), Vibes (1988), Victor/Victoria (1982), A Ghost Story (2017), The Paper Chase (1973), Everest (2015), Aquaman (2018), The 25th Hour (2002), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) These are all titles that only two or three people have requested. Compared to the 72 that have requested True Lies.

Planner

It's currently 33rd on the web app with 35 people requesting it :) Which puts it in the Top 10 on the web app filtered by either the Comedy (9th) or Fantasy (4th) genres, but 14th filtered by the Drama genre. https://popcornrequests.com/title/tt0120789

Which shows my point. Excluding the super hero movies, I have only seen/ heard one of those get a "reaction" (Everest on Hello Internet) or be talked about.

Björn Karlsson

Or as I have mentioned earlier in this thread: Show me love? 😉 A love story in an Excellent movie😃

Marc Peterson

Two Thumbs Up for The Finest Hours with Chris Pine and Casey Affleck!!!

Jeff Milcheck

25th Hour is one of my all time favorite movies... Needs to be on a poll!

Philip Davetas

I haven't seen A TIME TO KILL since it came out. I only remember three things. Ashley Judd sweats a lot. Sandra Bullock and hot sauce and what a great performance Matty M. gave.

Tom Willcockson

For love story inside a good movie I would suggest 1984's The Bounty. Master and Commander meets... well Tahiti. Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins, Liam Neeson. Good retelling of the story with gorgeous scenery, gorgeous Tevaite Vernette and a great 80s soundtrack.

Not a lot of genre diversity at the top of the planners list tbh. Shooting, shooting, chase, shooting, shooting, hiding & shooting, shooting, shooting, blowing up & shooting, aaaand shooting. Rounds out the top 10 lol. Items 11-20 are more diverse, at least you have a couple comedies & a romance/supernatural in there. And two aliens movies (I would go for Close Encounters over Contact fwiw). I get the "obligations" of crowd-pleasing by clearing items from the top of the request list ... BUT ... seeing as how there's so much repetition of movie type there, one approach would be to alternate "most requested" polls with genre polls. Personally I'm here for diversity of content since I can ignore reactions of movies/shows I have no interest in while still being able to find other stuff I do want to watch.

First, let me say I appreciate the hard work put into Planners app. but to me the genre part of it covers to many, and not enough at the same time. I do wish there was a foreign film genre. I mean I do see some foreign films on there way past the 200 requests mark. So I think PiB should do a foreign film poll very soon to rectify that.

Björn Karlsson

Yeah I agree. I appreciate Planners app alot. A genre for foreign films would be great, but foreign films are all kinds of films. Das boot and Show me love in the same category? Its tricky 🤨😅 But a poll is a great idea. 🙂 Its time for a non english film.

Is there a set day reactions get posted? Are these being posted within a 7 day week? We were wondering when A Time To Kill and Spaceballs would be up? Thanks Cassie for all that you do.

brooke atkins

Dang it!! Woke up so excited cause I thought for sure a time to kill would be uploaded today. So I guess we aren’t getting that one this week. 😟 ugh I was so looking forward to that one this week.

brooke atkins

2 in one day while you’re on vacation? Dang Cassie you don’t let up. I thought it was pushed to next week. I’m excited to watch when I get home from work tonight. Thanks for all your hard work. You’re the best!! Happy Sunday everyone!!

Cassie Tremblay

I try to do 3 movies from Sunday to Sunday, its been a little wonky as I have been in Canada and my parents internet is sooo slow so it takes a whole day to upload my reaction files for my husband to edit. A time to Kill should be up tonight!!

Björn Karlsson

Hmmm.... Crouching tiger, Hidden tiger att 209. But I dont like that movie 🙃

Rhett Merchant

Just watched "A Time to Kill" again. Great movie.
