Sorry, but not waiting for the premier. Been waiting for this one, and with Carly too!

If you wanna go with another current sports/Rocky tie-in, you should watch Victory ⚽️

Neill Shaughness

Great reaction! I will continue to push for Butch Cassidy and Sundance everytime you watch a Redford movie. (Also Spygame!)

Uncle Phoenix

What a great reaction video. Cassie and Carly kept reminding me of the movie French Kiss with Meg Ryan. So I had to Go and check and see if Cassie has seen it; and “No”, according to the “internet” Cassie hasn’t seen French Kiss. So, I think I’m going to start cheering for a French Kiss reaction video.

Mingo Wayama

Well, I will continue to push for Cinderella Man after every sports movie reaction.

So happy you watched this movie. One of my favorites. Still get goosebumps every time. I was 18 when this came out, a huge baseball fan, and I too grew up without a father so it hits me on so many levels. Watching your excitement and reaction brought a fresh POV and rekindled my love for this movie. Thank you.

Near as I can tell that girl with the Silver Bullet was one of those whackjobs that pops up every once in a while. That tries to find purpose in their life by killing a politician or a celebrity. Also I think this is some of the harshest language I've ever heard Cassie or Carly use when describing a female character, when it comes to Memo. Not that they're not wrong.

Bad News Bears would be a great Cassie and Carly watch

Matt Rose

You need to do MAJOR LEAGUE now. Surprisingly, that's reportedly the most 'accurate' depiction of a team's clubhouse and general dynamics. Very funny movie.

Bill Bowman

The stalking killer was based on an incident in 1949(?) when a woman lured a Philadelphia Philie young star named Eddie Waitkus to her room and then shot him. No one understood stalking of crazy fans outside of Hollywood during this era.

I hesitate to confess here that this movie's ending never rang true to me. And then I read the book when I got older, and it's basically the same story with a wildly different, and very downbeat, ending. I'm a big believer in source material and movie adaptations not needing to be similar, but imagine the opposite of this movie's ending, and you have the book. (And it's better. And here ends my first and last time bemoaning differences between novel and film.)

Paul Spacone

Great reaction. BTW both of you are good to the core.

Brian McGovern

Don’t remember Cassie saying anything about seeing “Buster” again. Or recognising Wilfred Bromley as the guy from the Firm. Like Tom Cruise, that guy never seemed to age. Mind you, he always looked like a guy in his 80s.

David Woodbridge

Thank you for this awesome reaction! You're right. There's something special about baseball movies. They have a unique ability to convey nostalgia and child-like wonder. In particular, the image of a father and son playing catch together after many years apart is so powerful. It's no accident that both "Field of Dreams" and "The Natural" end that way.

Richard Bourne

Ditto, great reactions, and there were certainly enough twists and turns to react to. You two make a great team. I hadn't seen this movie since 1985 when I was in HS and really only remembered the beginning and the end. When the wonderboy bat breaks, I like that it was a bat which he helped a young boy who looked up to him make, which then saves the day for him. Kindness comes around full circle. Powerful ending.

Roger Wayne Alms

I really enjoyed your reactions. If you want a movie based on a real life sports movie, try Rudy. I know you and your sister would love it. Another is American Underdog about Kurt and Brenda Warner and is a true love story as well as a football movie.

Scott Macaulay

"He's gonna be f......16 YEARS LATER!!" lol Classic

Terry Yelmene

'The Natural' is truly one of the greatest baseball stories... and nearly perfect for Cassie and Carly. But IMHO, Cassie and Carly would love; 'For The Love Of The Game,' even more!

S M

Yes! It's the reason his film festival is called Sundance.

Steven Johnson

Amazing reaction as usual ladies! You both should check out “Spy Game.” It’s stars Robert Redford and Brad Pitt. It has everything you both enjoy. Mystery, suspense, a love story, and most importantly…plenty of Brad Pitt 😉 Love the channel! Keep up the awesome content!!

Thomas Boyette

I would like to see Cassie's reaction to 'The Pride of the Yankees'(1942) and also 'The Bad News Bears'(1976).

Sean Novack

Have you two seen "Miracle"? It's the true story of the 1980 US Olympic Team.

Bill W

Kurt Russel was amazing, and it was probably the best, most realistic hockey I've seen in a film.

Chris Davis

I firmly believe that the reason why there are fireworks after a homerun in Baseball today is because of this movie! It always gets me! Thanks for the reaction!

Christopher Carr

Here and there: Memo was Lynn Bracken in LA Confidential. Richard Farnsworth was the Sheriff in Misery. A good Redford movie from around the same time is the Electric Horseman.

Odd Thomas

Farnsworth was also in a charming movie called The Straight Story about an old man travelling on a mower across the country to see his brother. I think it was his last movie.

Walter

that's a GREAT movie that Popcorn in Bed would absolutely LOVE

KauaiKeith

Next Redford movies: Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid (I know, I sound like a broken record) and the Horse Whisperer. Please.

Have you and Carly seen A League Of Their Own? Based on the real women's baseball league.
