Dearest Cassie, I served in the First Gulf War and I wasn’t able to immediately click on this as I do everything you put up. I watched this, you, 3 straight times. It’s so weird to say, but from a veteran, thank you for the way you reacted. It’s such a hard movie to watch and I actually don’t particularly enjoy watching you cry. You reacted, though, the way every veteran would wish everyone would react to the sight and story of every single fallen. You got it. Those who serve and attend funerals for fallen friends and loved ones appreciate most others treating with the tiniest acts of respect for the sacrifices, the ultimate sacrifice, those who serve make. Many of my brothers and sisters in arms always feel that all of the myriad things ways, the dollars and care taken for the fallen and their family are never enough. We just don’t ever do enough is the underlying sentiment many of us feel. I feel you would have been like the young woman who delayed her travels for just a moment to stand in respect on the tarmac as the remains were secured for the next part of the journey. Thank you, again, for what you do. My thoughts on your outro were that, perhaps, you were now a bit more prepared, given your comments about the difficulty of veterans living with, essentially, survivor’s guilt, to watch the two series you loved so much: ‘Band of Brothers’ and ‘The Pacific.’ I suspect, fantastic as your reactions to those were, that they’d be just a touch different with the perspective you now have. Thank you, again, Precious Cassie, for being a beacon of light in an often dark world.

A big brawny sort... 64-year-old man... who served US Army 1980-1984 primarily in West Germany with a brief stint in South Korea ...and who sorrowfully wept rather uncontrollably here. Thank You Cassie, for giving us (me) this 'Chance.'

My dad served four years in the Navy in World War II. By his own admission, he had it relatively easy as he never went overseas or saw combat. His best friend John, however, was in the Army infantry and was killed during the Battle of the Bulge. John was buried in a military cemetery in Europe, but three years after the war ended, his remains were disinterred and brought back home for burial. My dad was one of six veterans who stood guard in uniform and served as pall bearers at John's funeral. When I was a very small boy, whenever we would visit the cemetery, my dad would point out John's grave. It made a deep impression on me and I have often wondered since then what is was like for John's parents on the day they got the news that their son would not be coming home. Taking Chance was an excellent choice for November. Thank you.

Looks like HBO blocked the YouTube version.

Bryan Fritchie

HBO is blocking it for copyright violations. 😢

I was going to content myself with watching a butchered version of this movie with someone talking over it, but I have now been convinced to run out and buy it! 😒 (ADDED, to avoid causing unintentional offence: As I've mentioned before, PiB generally has excellent editing. For reaction videos. The directors of the original movies, on the other hand, would understandably consider these "edits" to be butchery. Gee, it's almost as if these videos are not actually meant as a replacement for the original movies!)

Wow. That was such an emotional ride.

Typing on my phone, and just entered an emoji like I would in any text message.

Cassie powerful reaction. To a powerful movie. You do not need to apologize for getting emotional. That was my first time watching it and I also got emotional. It would be hard not to with this movie. Everyone should watch this movie. Your open honest emotions is what makes you a great movie reactor and a great person. Thank you.

It’s very meaningful as a vet, that you watched this. Thank you
