Ok so we are going to do a LIVE watch along on FEBRUARY 13th @ 7:30 MST! (more details to come)

I have two options....

One. Watch ABOUT TIME, one of my very favorite romance movies ever and have seen it quite a few times so I could chat more etc.

OOORRRRR

Two. Watch RETURN TO ME. A romance I really really want to see. I think I would love it, it would be a first time reaction but would have to pay closer attention to the movie!

You choose for me.

Comments

Julie Chittenden

I love Return to Me! I think you will love it too.

Stick Figure Studios

Never seen ABOUT TIME, but RETURN TO ME is a wonderful movie. It has my vote.

mikethemotormouth

Don't tell me what to do when I'm already doing it

TigerDelta

This is a tough choice...

PapaXan

Never seen or heard of either of them so I'll abstain from voting.

nick bell

All about the chat for me

Todzilla

Or Option 3: Watch Robocop 2 and see the progression of Murphy and Anne Lewis' relationship šŸ˜˜

Sahitya

Cuz ive I've seen about time, I clicked that initially, but then I looked up return to me and it's log line sounds to good to pass up

Cole Jennett

I like Return to Me as well, but if the idea is to get to chat, About Time has to be the choice, doesnā€™t it?

Nathan

Make it a day to try something new. Every day we have the choice to star at our lint ball, or add to it. I say add to it. Return to me.

Cole Jennett

If you want her to be able to chat more, vote About TimešŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Clifton Owens

Return To Me is perfect for youBright Angel, it perfect for your kind heart and love of family and romance.

Raj K. Dixit

Return to Me is amazing. You will love it, Cassie - and Carly would too!

Mike Gallagher

I LOVE return to me. I am so embarrassed by that. LOL

Christopher B.

Return to Me is just such a sweet movie. Minnie Driver and David Duchovny have great chemistry!

Phil Stubblefield

Although I do enjoy a good rom-com, I've never seen either. I've heard you mention About Time enough that I'd love to see you watch it! šŸ˜

schizophrenia

Both are great, but About Time is a must see.

Steve Barrett

You should do both. Personally I donā€™t care about the ā€œfirst time seeingā€ label anymore. I think mainly people need to like the reactor person, and just want to watch along with occasional interruptions. I chose ā€œabout timeā€ - I loooveee the ending and have watched it a bunch too. FYI - the star Domhnall Gleeson is the son of Hamish from Braveheart (just recently learned after watching ā€œbanshees of inersheeranā€)

James1035

Havenā€™t seen either of these movies. In fact Iā€™ve never even heard of them. Iā€™m sure whatever wins youā€™ll have a great time watching it

Mike LL

This is easy/hard! I've never seen either of them! šŸ˜® Forgive me, Cass!

Andrew Roach

Love you reactions but reacting to movies we have at least heard of is... you know. And I love romance movies be them drama or romy comys.

Steve Barrett

Whatā€™s not to love - Minnie Driver and Archie bunker (if youā€™re old enough to remember ā€œall in the familyā€!)

Wendy

Love Love Love Return to me. Prepare the tissues. :)

Ria Grix

About Time is a gorgeous movie but Iā€™m gonna vote for something youā€™ve never seen (and Iā€™ve never seen either)

Mike LL

That's what I did. I remember that she said it is like her favorite.

Jen Barnes

Both are excellent, but Return to Me is a personal favorite. ā¤ļø

kaiielle

Voted for About Time because it's kind of the opposite? Instead of your first time watching something, people who haven't seen it can tune in and it's almost like you sharing your favourite with them, like a bunch of folks here try to get you to watch their favourites, yeah? Would be really fun. Not to mention, I love the movie!

My_Cousin_Mose

For my sake I choose About Time- if you're gonna go live I'd like more opportunity for you to chat with us. And for your sake if you watch Return to Me live then you'll miss stuff.

Zack Messick

Return to Me is an absolute gem. Itā€™s one my family often watches when weā€™re all together on a vacation or something. I think youā€™d love it!

Terry Yelmene

About Time is an intense love plus so much more movie. Love of a father, love of a sister, love of a child, love of a wife, love of an acquaintance, love not quite found, and love never, ever to lose, but most of all, this film is about the love of life itself. About Time is a great choice in this poll. (though I recognize Bonnie Hunt's triumph of love over tragedy story and I do love RTM too!)

Caomhan84

Oh this is a hard one. Although it would be fun watching you see a movie that you've seen before and can really gush over and chat about, I know that you'll absolutely adore Return to Me, and gush over it too. So I really don't know what to pick. Coin flip time!

Zzzz

DWG15

Why not both?

Mary Alice

When you get the chance, take a look at A Little Romance. Itā€™s from back in the 70s or early 80s. I donā€™t know if it was very popular, but it was a really neat movie that I liked. Itā€™s about young love. I think he might like it, you donā€™t have to react to it necessarily, but I think youā€™d like to watch it.

Elliot Nesterman

As I've commented, you really need to dive into some of the great romances of the golden age, both drama and comedy. "Brief Encounter," considered to be among the greatest films ever made. Not just greatest romances, but greatest films, period. "An Affair to Remember," one of the most romantic films ever made. It is referenced throughout Nora Ephron's "Sleepless in Seattle." "The Philadelphia Story," starring Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and James Stewart. Adapted from Philip Barry's play, Hepburn reprised her Broadway role. Probably the most romantic of the screwball comedies, it was also adapted into the screen musical "High Society," which was later adapted to the Broadway stage (in which a 12 year old Anna Kendrick was nominated for the Tony for Best Supporting Actress).

Shanwyn Nightfox

I abstain, I think, since I know neither of the two. So I am fine whatever the outcome. Yay! :-)

Dean Holt

Never heard of ether of them šŸ˜‚, but I am watching more Romcoms mainly down to this channel and if Iā€™m honest Iā€™ve quite enjoyed some of them especially While you Were Sleeping.

Joseph Marshall

After watching Cassie bravely push through Robocop, I kind of want her to revisit one of her very faves. She deserves a W like this, lmao

Erik Daniel

Ahh Jeez. I think I have to go with Return To Me. Sorry Cassie, I want you to watch whatever you want for V-Tines day, but I think you might really love Return To me and it's one of your Mom's favorites right?

Dave Sees Movies

I met Bonnie Hunt when I worked for a network where she had a sitcom. She and David Alan Grier were unimpressed with my admiration for "Return to Me."

Melanie

Oooooo - love Return To Meā£ļøšŸ‘

Eric J Watkins

About time is a wonderful film. :)

Larry Darrell

For any Guys who have never seen About Time, it is a GUY'S Love Story. It is also a Father/Son film. Well worth anyone's time.

Jerrod Acree

Neither heard of either.

Terry Yelmene

@Robert Allen - The proposition of dedicating a couple of hours to watch and participate here over either one of these two charming films may not appeal... until you realize that this experience will be with CASSIE, perhaps the most heart-warming and charming hosts ever for such an endeavor. Personally, I can't think of a more welcome way to spend two hours!

Daniel Roberts

Love is in the air! Never a bad moment for romance, companionship and the want for your other half to be in your arms. Valentine's Day has always been my favorite time of the year. :) No matter what movie wins, nobody really loses, and I really like that!

Tim Trozzo

To be honest I've never heard of either movie, but I picked Return to Me because it was Carroll O'Connor's last screen appearance.

Louis

You should add a third option (or watch it some other time)...A Walk in the Clouds...it is one of my favourite romance movies. I think you'll enjoy it too.

Dave Sees Movies

They just didn't want to talk about it. I got the impression she was bummed out by its reception. Plus, she was there to talk about her sitcom. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

G

Both are excellent romantic films. But if you like Back to the Future, Frequency (2000), and a good love story. You'll like About Time.

Richard Maurer

I got no dog in this fight.

Timothy Williams

Carroll O'Connor (of Archie Bunker/All in the Family fame) and the other character actors in his group make this film wonderful! Non-romance fans that love acting will appreciate their work. Like While You Were Sleeping, the writing coupled with a great cast make a group of imperfect family and friends relatable and lovable!

WastedPo

I chose "About Time," simply because you have seen it before. This is not a popular opinion, but I hate the idea of "reacting" to a movie while chatting. I know people love the twitch streamer trend and the whole interactive party atmosphere, but I have to believe it would only make it more difficult to truly become invested in the movie.

'Pappy' Johnston

Sorry, absolutely rolling my eyes. As Jessica Chastain said in 'Snow White: The Huntsman Winter's War' "We blind ourselves to the truth because we're weak... because we HOPE. But there's no hope for 'love'. Love ends in betrayal....Aye' and ALWAYS!"

Rick Williams

I guess people don't want you chatting that much. Not me. I like you chatting. šŸ˜

Larry Darrell

I thought of the perfect love story movie to watch for the first time AND chat during. Endless Love (1981) That could be very entertaining.

Carly Popcorn

Do I get to watch too? Because that will change how I vote...

Rhett Merchant

Return to me...great generational cast ...huge laughs...tears....and a gorilla. One of my favorite rom-coms of all time. Even if it isn't selected, you absolutely need to watch this one. (Oh...and a dog too!)

JC762

a 10 thousand person chat is......well i don't get it

N M

You should call an audible and substitute in a Tom Cruise film.

N M

Eyes Wide Shut ā€” a Tom Cruise film with Nicole Kidman as his leading lady in a film about the relationship between a man and wife.

OneManReactionFaction

Return to Me gets my vote. It was one of my mom's favorite movies. In fact, a lot of the movies she liked would be movies you'd enjoy (An Officer and a Gentleman, Sweet Dreams, Mr. Holland's Opus, When a Man Loves a Woman, Witness, etc). This movie was also Carroll O'Connor's last role. If you are unfamiliar with him, look him up. He played the iconic character Archie Bunker in the TV show, All in the Family. It was one of the first sitcoms to really dive deep into controversial social issues of the time (war, racism, anti-Semitism, sexuality, etc).

Joe M

Iā€™m wondering; has Cassie seen ā€œAs Good As It Getsā€? If not Iā€™m wondering why it wasnā€™t in the poll. Call me old fashioned, but thatā€™s my favorite rom-com. And Iā€™m not a rom-com fan. But for the sake of PIB Iā€™m pulling for ā€œAbout Timeā€.

Kelly Marie

If you like an emotional love story about redemption, self-worth, and perseverance, you must check out Redeeming Love on Amazon Prime. Itā€™s really good! Beautiful cinematography and music, powerful story and message. Just had to share.

Lamar Savage

Every single aspect of Return To Me is perfection...... writing, directing, casting, supporting character development, soundtrack! I can't wait for you two to see it!

Javier Hernandez

You should watch "Circle of Friends" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkDsay1CrHo) it is the movie that put Mini Driver on the map and led to her casting in Good Will Hunting.
