Hey guys.

Let me tell you about the weather. So much snow. Over it. Making me sad and scared to drive. Ok moving on.

It was a fun week last week, no one in my household was sick, I painted 1/16th of a wall I had been dying to paint. Carly and I got to spend a Saturday together and we watched some GREAT flicks! Everything is coming up Popcorn!

I just posted a poll about a LIVE Love Movie Watch ALONG on 2/13 so go vote on that. A classic fav or perhaps a new fave? A LIVE LOVE ALONG if you will.

This week there is not as much love/romance?? I don't think? but, still, surprisingly Upbeat!

JK but I Really am looking forward to each of these for different reasons. I wanted to thank you guys for your comments on the movies on here lately, I have so much fun reading them and not only do I learn SO MUCH from you, it always fills my cup to read them so thank you!

Last but not least The POPPIES 23 have officially been changed to March 4th!

Still to come in February is Footloose, Just Mercy, Goldeneye and more!

xoxo

Cassie

Ooooh Days of Thunder 🍿

PapaXan

So happy to see you're starting the Book of Boba Fett.

Tim Raths

Don’t you mean Goldfinger not Goldeneye? 😅

Jon Johns

Lol... The Bond Gold movies are a curse 😂 "Goldfinger" is next... Goldeneye is probably in the future 😉

Andrew Ramos

Is it the driving that scares you or adding to your tally of fender benders? lol jk jk stay safe out there.

PapaXan

I hope you can do Everything Everywhere All At Once soon since it did get the most Oscar nominations this year.

Sahitya

Obv super excited for RRR. Hope you watch it with Carly. Please, for all things holy in this world, do not watch it with the English dub.

James UK

Goldfinger/Goldeneye/The Man with the Golden Gun. Take your pick!😜

James1035

I think you have your golden Bond titles mixed up lol. I’ll take some of your snow. We’ve had nothing all winter. I enjoy having at least one good snow storm a season. Call me crazy, but I don’t mind snow shoveling either.

The Gemini Man

Days of Thunder is a you and Carly movie for sure.

Foggy

I'm looking forward to 42! Love Chadwick, any plans to watch Wakanda Forever?

djKENTO

RUBBIN IS RACIN!!!

MatthewBrown74m

Boba fett about time I was afraid you never watch it

Mike LL

Yes, Goldeneye will win in a poll, but its time has just not yet come, just highly anticipated.

Gábor Árki

So back to Tom Cruise in Bed? I'm not keeping tabs, but I think he is the most favored actor now on the channel by far.😃It's a fun movie though, kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. I would be glad to take over some of that snow. This winter I saw the first snow a few days ago but it was melting almost immediately. This is now close to a decade in a row we practically haven't had any real snow or winter.

Mike LL

I also will take all the snow Cassie can send my way. Not seen nary a snowflake in North Carolina this winter. 😯

Jesus F Christ

Had to do a double take... on first glance I thought that said "Reuben is racist" Bobby Duvall is a delight in Days of Thunder.

sarCC

Lotsa love and romance in RRR! One of the most entertaining movies ever made. If you do watch it with Carly, know going in there is a built-in intermission about halfway in, perfect to take a break at.

Ria Grix

FOOTLOOSE OMG YESSSSSSS!

Rich Campbell

What was the "foreign movie & Oscar nom"?

sarCC

It's RRR, nominated for its musical number "Naatu Naatu."

Robert da Spruce

I would have expected a football movie instead of a baseball one seeing the SuperBowl is coming up. (Even though my beloved 49ers are out of it. Grrr…😠) But 42 is an excellent movie. So I’m not complaining. Haven’t seen RRR yet. So that will be a first time watch for me as well. All in all. Looks like a great week ahead! Hope you get some sunshine where you are!

Todzilla

Awe yeah, Cassie keeping her prom proms! Watching Book of Boba before Mando Season 3! Although I'm a grown man with a 15 year old Boba Fett tattoo, I wasn't a fan of the series, but it is a must see (IMO) for the continuation of Mandalorian.

My_Cousin_Mose

"In honor of Daytona 500" said no one ever lmao.

Wes Stewart

Oh I loved 42. Great pic and pick!

Ike

Excited!

Jason Dolan

Wow I actually listened to DAYS OF THUNDER after I listened to your LIVE last Saturday in my drive from Miami to Atlanta! So very good timing.

Patrick Egan

Very excited for 42, it’s an excellent movie! Everyone raves about Chadwick Boseman’s performance, as they should, but Harrison Ford is also fantastic.

Steven Ashford

So glad to see 42 on the list. Great movie.

Dean Holt

42 is such a underrated movie I personally think it’s Chadwick Boseman best performance R.I.P. It’s also got a certain Mr Ford in it as well 😏. Days of Thunder a great movie as well with a love story in it so I think you’ll enjoy that as well. Two other fantastic early Tom Cruise film are Rain Man and Cockail. Also as you seem to love Baseball films you really need to watch A League of their own Tom Hanks managers a women baseball team during WW2. Regarding Boba Fett it is slow to get going but the second half of the series is quite good.

Dean Holt

It’s probably because there’s only two NASCAR films I can think of lol. But it’s a good excuse to watch Days of Thunder

Just Plain Bob

I agree. As a kid, I thought Boba Fett was the coolest character in the Star Wars movies when I first saw him in The Empire Strikes Back. Then they gave him a horrible ending in Return of the Jedi, showing the character absolutely no love. I looked forward to the tv series and was disappointed. But it is necessary viewing if you want to continue to follow The Mandalorian, which is far and away the best thing in the Star Wars universe these days.

Bill W

You can skip "Golden Gun". Not that great. Bond Gold...Gold Bond..? =D

Dean Holt

Marshall is another excellent Chadwick film it’s a courtroom drama

Michael Lynch

Hell yes for footloose

Christopher B.

I got to see Days of Thunder in 70mm in the theater for a Tom Cruise marathon, and it was *awesome*. It was so loud during the racing scenes that I'm positive I could actually feel the sound waves hit my body.

Richard Bourne

The original Footloose I hope, not the reboot.

Shawn Kildal

I've been hoping for 42 for a while now and it's finally here! With the late, great Chadwick Boseman and Harrison Ford. She'll recognize T.R. Knight (George O'Malley) from Grey's Anatomy for sure

Shawn Kildal

Maybe next year The Express will get to be considered. Great football movie about RB Ernie Davis at Syracuse University. Chadwick Boseman is in that too as Floyd Little along with Dennis Quaid as the coach.

Tara

My mom went to high school with Ernie Davis in Elmira, NY. He was a popular student in 1957

Todzilla

Robert it DID make me feel better when Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett actor) openly said Boba in that show was all wrong. He even told the director "why am I taking off my helmet all the time and talking so much?". He even said "the fans won't like this". I think he was dead on.

Tara

42!!! I love it… Ughhh… I watched Wakanda Forever over the weekend and cried my eyes out over Chadwick Boseman. Did you see the YouTube video of the little boy who had a funeral with all his MCU action figures with Black Panther lying in the middle of a circle.

Andrew Hogan

42 and Days of Thunder….perfect

Steve Barrett

You know the saying: make hay while the sun shines? If you have a lot of snow, go skiing!! If the kiddies are too young or it is kind of pricey for a family, go sledding man!!

Bill Hayden

Hmmmm, maybe Cassie should play the soundtrack from "The Shining" whenever she drives in the snow. 😉 42 will be a great pick.

Variable38

Goldeneye will definitely win. I just hope everyone here is smart enough to realize The World is Not Enough is better than Tomorrow Never Dies.

Larry Darrell

HOLY SHIZNIT!! DAYS OF THUNDER!! THANK YOU!!

Sahitya

It's funny you guys say that. Netflix only has the dubbed versions. The original authentic Telugu language version is only on the Zee5 streaming platform in India. Luckily the main two leads dubbed themselves in most of the other language dubs, except english

Kevin Kuma

Days of Thunderrrrrr!!!!!

_tragicmike

Book of Boba Fett? Zzzzz...

Paul Browne

Agreed, although the way I'm thinking, now I get to complete the season, with an excellent edit, hitting all of the important plot points..... And even though I always tell myself I'm going to skip certain PIB reactions, I always succumb in the end! !

Mike Lemon

@Dean- Is the other one 3- The Dale Earnhardt Story (2004)? Or Stroker Ace (1983)? Talladega Nights- The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006)? Something else?

Mike Lemon

Fun fact- Jackie Robinson was NOT the first black man to play professional baseball. Moses "Fleetwood" Walker did it in 1884. Another guy (Grey?) may have done it before that, but he was "passing".

Gideon James

Cassie, can you put American Graffiti on your list of must-see films? This little gem has a great cast and a young Harrison Ford. I think you would really enjoy it. Thanks!

Ahmad Zain

Hey, guys! I know u guys love romcoms so I would recommend 2 Indian romance movies Love Aaj Kal(2009) is a story about a couple who have to end their relationship because of their careers and the modern places they live. However, the story transcends through times if love can still exist in the modern-day just like in earlier days. The 2nd one is my favorite Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013); this story focuses on 4 friends who r in their 20s who go on a trip, girl meets boy, hijinks happen but all the friends have to grow apart becz of their lives and the story begins 8 years later as they all r in their 30's for their friend wedding. This movie celebrates madness, warmth, marriage, freedom, friendships, reunions, & Love. Please watch these if you get the chance this month. both films r available on Amazon prime.

Rick Williams

Goldeneye? Did you mean Goldfinger?

Eric Feay

PopcoRRRn in Bed! woo!

Captain Caveman

Have you ever seen "Only the Lonely" starring John Candy? You would love it. I mean John Candy in a romance film. He does a great job. Very touching. Its a great movie.

My_Cousin_Mose

Haha sorry if you're a Nascar fan Larry. My step dad loves Nascar and so growing up I had to watch way too much of it.

C. Steven Y.

I have a romantic movie suggestion. The movie is Stardust. I just watched it and really enjoyed it. The movie draws from the venue as Princess Bride but with the story standing on its own.

Tim Raths

It would make for a great reaction but it will be a nightmare to edit with all the music in it.

Larry Darrell

I actually haven't watched a race in years. After Jimmy Johnson won 5 championships in a row, is about when I stopped watching regularly. The Race for the Chase caused that. They kept making too many rule and format changes. The last race I saw, they had mandatory cautions and had broken the race into three different sections. They just made it, too complicated. Just let them race. The 80s and the 90s and before was when it was great. Dale Earnhardt Sr., Terry Labonte, Darrell Waltrip, Ricky Rudd, Richard Petty, Bill Elliott. The Winston Cup. Those Were the Days.

Erik Daniel

Nice call! I wanted to send that to her, but the dvd is out of print now and remaining copies and pricey...and I'm poor lol. A very sweet film indeed.

Philip Alan

Days Of Thunder is definitely a LOVE STORY!! :)

Caomhan84

You know...you're right. I think Cassie would love the original Love Aaj Kal. The remake was trash, but the original was almost magical. I can see her positively melting at the ending.

Gideon James

RRR may be the worst film I've ever seen. I can't do animal abuse, even if it's CGI.

Gideon James

She is doing a Footloose reaction. I have faith in her editor. Besides not everything has to be a YouTube edit. They aren't paying for a monthly sub on here.

Scott Macaulay

Looks like fun! Except Boba Fett. That series was a travesty. You may like it tho because it's corny and sweet. A lot of us don't feel that's a good vibe for BOBA FETT lol

Scott Macaulay

I know its unpopular to say, but I hated it too. Couldn't even finish it, and I do like a lot of Indian cinema, so it's not that.

Larry Darrell

Maureen O’Hara’s final theatrically released film, and first in 18 years.

Cole Jennett

With all the hype I’ve seen on here for it, I definitely expected it to be much better.

Gideon James

I agree. Should just skip to the last 3 ep.

Gideon James

I don't think Cassie is going to enjoy it at all. She'll regret it as much as Full Metal Jacket.

Caomhan84

I'm glad to see some people going against the grain and saying they didn't like it. I haven't seen it myself, but I've seen other movies the director has done and.... I don't get the hype around him. His two previous films were among the worst movies of ever seen in my whole life. And yet they also were praised just like RRR. And I too have extensive experience with Indian movies, so it's not that. I think it's because Rajamouli is nothing but Michael Bay on another continent, but people don't want to admit it. I was thinking about giving him a third try with RRR, but I honestly don't see how it would be any different.

Odd Thomas

Ugh, Patreon PLEASE give us a 'show all comments' feature. You're killin' me

Richard Maurer

Golden Gun is one of the best Bond films ever - and I don't care who disagrees with me,

Bill Bowman

There are 2 love stories that you might enjoy. A Little Romance from the late 70's. A charming film about 2 teenagers trying to find a first true love and a magical kiss in Venice. This was Diane Lane's first major role. Splendor In the Grass. A powerful drama with Natalie Wood and the film that made Warren Beatty a star.

Richard Maurer

If India would ever make a movie without a musical number I'd give them a second chance. Till then I continue to ignore their films. Musical numbers in films are usually a bridge too far for me, and the ones in indian films are especially annoying.

Richard Maurer

Well, apparently Moses Walker didn't exactly break down any barriers as there wasn't another black man in professional baseball till Jackie Robinson. But Jackie did, as Baseball has stayed open to African-Americans every since. That's the real point of this movie, not who was "first".

Richard Maurer

The YT edits provide much more income for Cassie than patreon does. It's not all about what the patrons want.

Richard Maurer

It might be controversial to say, but I hate the musical numbers in Indian films, in fact in most films in general, but particularly Indian films. They take me out of the story every time.

Dazman

Couple of key episodes in there for what's coming next though...

Josh Phillips

Days of Thunder and racing season is back! Might I suggest a Daytona 500 live stream? 😄

WHIPPERSNAPPER

If you happen to enjoy Days of Thunder then I would suggest watching an old Burt Reynolds movie called "Stroker Ace". I would also suggest Smokey and the Bandit. The first one is the best and the second one is not too bad. Don't even bother with the third one lol.

Mike Lemon

Hence why I wrote "fun fact" and not "history of race relations in professional baseball".

Josh Phillips

Smokey and the Bandit is fantastic! As good as Burt Reynolds was, I think Jerry Reed really made that movie top tier!

Larry Darrell

Can’t forget Hooper (1978). Again with Sally Field. Nothing Like the Life of a Hollywood Stuntman.

WeekendWarrior88

Awesome movies. Love the How to lose a Guy in 10 days reference too 😉

Jeff Milcheck

I have a suggestion for a love story movie; TRUE ROMANCE.. ok, so yeah, it’s written by Quentin Tarantino, so it’s got a lot of the stuff you’d expect from one of his movies, but it really is a love story! Hell, it’s got “romance” in the title even! Lol…. And it really is just a fantastic movie.

Just Plain Bob

For a truly great Bollywood movie I highly recommend Eega.

You did help sell it! I wasn’t gonna mention Brad Pitt because I thought that’d be a fun surprise for her… but if it helps get it on a poll then I’m all for it.

Bluebird

Oh never heard of True Romance……gotta check it out…..thanks Jeff
