[YT Edit] John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

I just love this movie. I hope it wasn't a bit too much for you Cassie. Dear dear Keanu.

Jeff Rogers

It was an adorable moment, but you might want to look up the definition of "raw dogging". 😂

Jeff Rogers

By the way "guns, lots of guns" was a call back to the matrix, he used the same line.

Steven Perez

Never apologize for reaching your limit, Cassie.

Brian McGovern

To be fair it has 2 meanings. It may not be used in the US or Canada in the way you are referring. BTW, have you seen the Peter Kay clip on YT of this subject and the Fascinating Aida song, also on YT of this subject?

Brian McGovern

LOL. Take him to Rivendell.

Walter

Another reason why I adore Cassie - she's watching John Wick 3 and looking for a love story. Adorable.

Walter

By the way, John Wick 4 is kind of amazing, but it is almost 3 hours long and there is maybe a combined 25 minutes of dialog, and the rest is non-stop killing.

I opened this thread and my 4-year-old son looked over my shoulder at the thumbnail. Him: It's only Cassie. Where's Carly? Me: Oh, she doesn't really watch movies like this. Him: Why? Me: This movie isn't as happy as the movies she likes. Him: What makes her happy? Me: Work, I think. Him: Oh. She's probably at work then.

Let’s take a closer look at our “hero”, John Wick. In the first film, he kills scores of people over a dog and a car. I know the dog was a gift from his wife, but still … In the second film, he is fully prepared to kill someone he considers a friend, until she lets him off the hook by committing suicide. And, in this film, he solicits help from Sofia even though he knows it could expose her daughter to danger. All of his actions in the three films are understandable, but hardly the actions of the conventional “hero.” John Wick falls firmly into the anti-hero category. He’s a hero only in the sense that everyone else in the films is worse than he is. Fortunately for me, I’m a fan of the anti-hero action sub genre, so I love all three.

Richard Maurer

Totally agree with you, Cassie. The first movie is a good movie, the sequels are just money-grabs - all action, with a little, largely meaningless, story.

Bill W

Cassie, I skipped the whole movie and just went to the end for your review. I'm totally with you. I like Keanu, but frankly I didn't even really care for the first one.

Dazman

The constant action can be exhausting. If they varied the pace a bit, the set pieces would have more impact. It can be a little overkill (no pun intended).

Gideon James

I just finished watching John Wick 4. I think it might be the greatest action film ever made. Hopefully you are gonna do a reaction soon. You could skip a Bond movie or 2 or 3... I wouldn't shed a tear.
