With the return of 17, I wanted to mention a couple of things about him and 18 that DBZA didn’t mention of which you might like to know before the tournament (sorry if these have been brought up already): 1) In addition to superhuman power and non-detectable energy, the twins’ cybernetic enhancements gives them unlimited stamina. They can go all out w/o fatigue. 2) 17 and 18’s real names were “Lapis” (17) and “Lazuli” (18) before being taken by Dr. Gero, their names being based on the stone of the same name.

I remember people’s hype for 17 being about on par with the hype around Trunks’ return back when he was being shown off in all sorts of promo material. We finally got to see him fight Goku (canonically) after all this time! All I can say for now is that his time in this arc certainly doesn’t disappoint.

It’s a shame we never got any character designs for 17’s family. It likely means that Toriyama never made any that Toei could use. Something that we’ll unfortunately never see under his vision, given the circumstances…

Glad they reiterated that Uub is still a small child here. People were calling for him to be one of the potential fighters for U7 when he's way too young.

While the animation itself isn't super spectacular, the art direction for Goku and 17's fight is pretty nice. Love the backdrop of the sunset and the use of shadows.

Just in case you guys didn’t know or couldn’t tell, Android 17 and Emperor Pilaf have the same voice actor. Very different styles, huh? Oh, Android 20 (which I guess you never heard in OG) and Supreme Kai (Including the elder one too!) also share a VA. TFS was pretty close, though.

And it’s funny you bring up him being zen. That’s a complete change, too (more or less). He was pretty rowdy, rebellious and reckless. And looking at the alternate future versions of both of them… They were like psychopaths. I wonder what they would say if they met lol. Maybe Sparking Zero has some good deeper dialogue options (especially since they made two 17’s with only one 18).

Yes it's allowed. There's no issue with copyright on patreon. Most Reactors do it. It's only YouTube than you need to be careful with copyright issues

Your right about Goku not killing. He’s a bit to much of a goody two shoes. He didn’t even want to kill Frieza back in Namek or Earth. But i can only recall one time he was blood lusted, back in the original Dragon Ball. I won’t say who or why but it was quite scary to see him like that. Really showed his Saiyan side.

About the unlimited stamina, they make that quote clear since Beerus, 17 and 18 keep mentioning that they never get tired or run out of energy.

Androids are a misconception in the English dub. They're human enhanced, which means they are human based but just cybernetically enhanced. That's why 18 and 17 can have kids. 17 and 18 have always been monotone I guess to give off that they are robots, I don't know. I like the little flashbacks to OG Dragon Ball and Z, it's been years and they're still showing us they haven't forgotten about those events.

Speaking of the reincarnation of Kid Buu, if you get to GT, which is non canon, you'll meet this kid and see how he grows with Goku's tutelage. You'll also be seeing him tomorrow.

That sounds off to me, but I suppose you might be right. I don't see how it's possible to get away with given that it defeats the purpose of purchasing an original copy or subscription for a streaming service.

in french we call the "androids" cyborgs. So 17 and 18 are C-17 and C-18. Ironically, we call Android 16 "C-16" which is the opposite localisation problem that you guys have, with 16 being an actual android and all

I doubt abridged showed it but back when the androids were being made they were shown all of goku's old tournaments to judge his fighting styles but there fatal flaw was they didnt see the fight with frieza where goku increased his power tremendously. Thats why 17 said, "yes ive heard your voice before"

It was an accident keeping in the footage. We know some other people on Patreon keep the footage in, but they can still get in trouble and people have had their Patreon taken down for doing it. If the company that owns the copyright comes after them and contacts Patreon then their patreon will be taken down until the footage is removed 🤗

Just forgot to cut it out. It happens from time to time. Worst case scenario we just have to take this one down and then reupload it. But if we did it for every episode and then got in trouble, our Patreon would be shut down until we removed all copyright claims and then would have to reupload all the footage. Which we keep all footage just in case that ever needs to happen and we need to make adjustments. 🤗
