Mai is absolutely pronounced incorrectly in the show, just the writers/directors being American and not really understanding it most likely. Although it's weird they pronounced ozai properly with the "ai" but mispronounce Mai which also has the "ai."

I love Ty Lee's betrayal. Yes Mai turned for love and passion and had the dope line "I love Zuko more than I fear you" But let's talk Ty Lee. Ty Lee's reaction, her betrayal, was an instinctual act of protection. Her platonic love and genuine care for Mai caused her to react. I love how complex and complete these relationships are!!!!!!!!!! And how realistic they are. You do some wild things when youre protecting the ones you love....even betraying the Fire Prinicess. And you do it without thinking

I usually tell reactors to do a "Momo Watch" when they inevitably rewatch the show. Yall have been on it since season one. The animators did not have to give Momo the utmost care that he got. He's most always in the background arguably not relevant...but he is SOOOOO FUNNY! The scene at play may be dramatic or serious or action....but Momo he's gonna being the background being HILARIOUS
