Why is it shaped like the crack in her bedroom?! This episode highlighted more questions surrounding the women in the doctor’s life and ended in a somewhat unexpected place.

Yeah I did find that bit of the episode at the end a little...out of character. I recall thinking I missed something but then again, some companions do tend to fall for the Doctor in some way so I thought this was just a rushed version of that. But this all does get very interesting!

I suspect that the companions falling for - or at least finding the Doctor companionable - is down to the telepathic field that both he and the TARDIS emanates. Of course, there is no way of guaranteeing how an individual will interpret the messages that are being carried by that field. I would call it a 'Trust Field' and some Time Lords - like The Master with his mesmerism - use this for his own warped purpose. Amy, with her own yearning for connection - plus her mind being messed up by four psychiatrists - interprets the signals as a full on let's party!

I think I saw something with Moffat in relation to Amy propositioning the doctor that she was already attracted to him, she damn near died and he saved her and basically she decided "I have had a trauma, I need to reaffirm life , I'm having him. "
