There’s quite a few things about his work in this period that Moffat has said he regrets in recent years, but he got there with this ending even sooner, realizing that even beyond how out of character it clearly was even with how little we knew Amy at this point, he was basically playing a sexual assault for laughs, just like that infamous M*A*S*H episode.

A great conclusion to another fantastic River Song story. I particularly like the line as they part... Doctor: "I look forward to it" River: "I remember it well." It just adds to the intrigue and mystery surrounding her character. A lot of people reacted negatively to the idea of the Angel's moving on camera. I think your reaction to that scene really cements why it was a good Moffat decision to include that. It definitely added to the horror. I get the initial push back from people, the Angel's never move while being observed, and that does include the audience, but I think this scenario was the perfect time to break that rule. The angels were panicked and quite desperate, so letting the quantum veil drop for a moment works quite well in my opinion.

to be fair i think its going to far nowadays with nothing being okay anymore ... its a childish play its nothing bad ... storytelling doesnt need to be smooth and perfect and pink purple goodness you need realness and if you cut everything that can be found bad by anyone the result is the crap we get nowadays ...

I love this episode so much! River is awesome. I feel like the Doctor needs a lovable rogue to drop in and out of the TARDIS. And that part is being played so well with River.
