This is not the story I expected today, but wow what an incredible episode! Exploring Hannah’s backstory in a somewhat unconventional way as she realizes there is something unusual going on with Miles.

Red Dwarf

Spoiler warning . . I love Hannah so much. This is a sad ep. I had the feeling she was already dead because she never ate, but I did not know how she died. And the ending scene with Owen makes me tear up.

The first time I watched, I was rooting for Hannah and Owen to be the "good couple" to balance out Peter and Rebecca's "bad couple" and then I got to this episode and just.... WELP This episode is *so* good. I love the idea of the crack in the well being the "crack in the wall" which allows Hannah to move through moments of time in the house. I also thought it was odd Hannah didn't ever eat anything while the others did, and I had an inkling that she *might* be dead because the first time Dani talked to her in the chapel, Hannah had one more candle for the dead burning than there should have been based on what we knew at that point, but I didn't really focus on that until I realized she never ate. The tragedy of it all. And I cannot wait for your reaction to episode 6 (which I believe you've already seen so I'm sure you know what I mean)

I still wonder if Hannah would have still been alive had Danni not gotten out of the car to walk to Bly :(

this is one of my favorite episodes of the series; the beautiful tragedy of Hannah Grose, portrayed flawlessly by the uber-talented T'Nia Miller. I also love the writing of this series in general and how everything ties together so nicely. one of my favorite lines is when Hannah is pulled out of her trance by the well and goes, "goodness, I was Miles away," as if to give us, herself, and those around her a subtle hint about what just happened to her. absolute perfection.

I noticed a few times she didn't partake, but I just didn't think anything of it. Really a great detail in a great show!

Yes, episode 6 is releasing now, but I still haven't watched 7 lol. I loved Hannah's story and the crack was a very nice detail to include. This was an amazing episode.

That's such a great point! I think that would have at LEAST delayed her death. I suspect Peter may have had it out for her regardless, but we'll never know.

I always marvel at this episode and Hannah Gross. The sheer strength of will (and denial) to remain so present after her death. I can only fathom that it's her deep commitment to the children & Bly that keeps her continuing to look after everyone. The way she anchors herself by repeating the most relevant pieces. Deep down she knows... as her repeating memory with Owen is both solace and a push towards awareness. (And it's quite a parallel to Alzheimer's. Losing your sense of self, drifting in past memories.)
