I am so glad you are in series 6 now. There is so much I wanna say but I can't. I am just excited to see your reactions to it because man it took me for a ride when it first came out. Wild to think this all aired over 10 years ago!

when River tells Rory about how the day she meets the Doctor and he doesn't have a clue who she is... and how that is going to kill her... that's peak Moffat writing for me. Moffat is really good at making connections between episodes (just remember how, in the Big Bang, we learnt that the scene in the techno forest actually featured a different Doctor!) I get teary-eyed every time River speaks about her last meeting with the Doctor, because this is how we met her and those episodes wrecked me. River will never be my favourite companion but her arc is so interesting (and, at times, plain odd) that Moffat definitely gets credit for her.

River is such an area of intrigue! I simultaneously want all the answers but also want to enjoy the journey as long as possible-- and I trust Moffat keep us from crossing the line into TOO LONG.

- you gave a lot of deep thought to Rivers gun. I just thought "hey, a 6 shooter to go with the cowboy theme. - the doctor and river flirting is everything. - did the design of the underground ship that Rory and river find look a little familiar to you? - were u aware that the old version of Canton (William Sheppard) is the father of the younger version of Canton (mark Sheppard). They look and sound so unique they have played younger/older versions of the same character several times.

I can't say I thought much about the design this episode, but I did have a fleeting moment of familiarity watching the second and then I realized editing it where I'd seen it before.
