Let's start with the nothing important. I didn't upload much recently because of working on the house A BIT, really not much (there's just very little to be done for a while, just some finishing touches on stuff basically done already, but flooring still needs to be done and that should happen next week, don't know if it'll involve me but I'll have to help if I can). What really took my time is that I replayed Gravity Rush 1 & 2 this last weekend. Cos I wanted a break.

Also I'm starting the Ortie pic tonight !

Let's move on to the few Disintegrity pages I've done :

P21 : Not much to say. I just redid Zee's heads. I didn't dislike the original version of that page but Zee isn't Zee-eesh enough. Otherwise these rainy pages have a problem that I was stupid to do back then : the layering ! All onomatopoeia, light reflection on the eye (the white dot I always put on there), the blurry pipe being swung in the first panel, the action lines and speech bubbles and the rain are all on one layer. Which means that if I heavily modify something, like Zee's head in the first panel, the pipe and the rain suddenly don't work as they should.

So I saved what I could, like the onomatopeia, but I had to redo the rain on that page. I hope that'll look okay enough in sequence with the other pages where I didn't have to, but you can notice that the raindrops are thinner...

P27 : Once again, not much to be said. This page was a much bigger pain tho cos the main things that needs to be redone in those early pages are the heads. The body are often fine enough to remain as they were (it's only when they're naked that a lot of stuff looks like ass, the bad kind of ass). So a page entirely made of heads means a lot of it needs redo.

Interesting sidenote that doesn't show, when I redid the shading I didn't go as heavy on Larsen's face as on the original.  And it turned out to really make the page less impactful, so I had to go back and add some shade back to carry the proper mood.

P71 : I didn't think I would have to redo the first panel altogether but it turned out I had to. It wasn't especially bad (except for Larsen's horrid face, which had bothered me for a looong time, I had already redrawn it throughout the years, in passing, just to see how much better I'd make it and NOW I finally truly finish it) but there were just too many tiny annoying things. Larsen's butt seem flat. Zee's hips don't look like they're above Larsen's ass, so what's he fucking ? Zee's arm is also weirdly short. Is it viewed from the side or 3/4 ? Hard to say. Ultimately, it was faster to just redo it entirely. Maybe I should have modified it even more so that zee's butt isn't cut but oh well. At least we can sstill see most of it, and it's glorious. What a waste he's on top. Plus look at his crying face. Gosh. Bottom bitch Zee in the sequel please.

Another big change is the big "just this once !". I'm not super happy with the new one, but whatever, it's still more condusive to the proper mood than was the more professional looking old one. "Professional" is the problem in fact, it looks too neat ! Zee's supposed to be pained and mad yet the words looked clean cut, square as could be. It didn't fit. Worse though they may be, the new ones do fit.

Well, that's it, I hink. Unless I forget a page.

I love a muscular, masculine, tortured bottom who secretly loves it (and then makes it clear that he loves it). I love that Larsen bottoms their first time together. But I also love couples that flip flop and aren't controlled by certain roles their appearance or personality may enforce. So basically what I'm saying is make every character a top and bottom all the time. Unless it bends stereotypes then do that.

Generally most of my comics have characters that switch, it hasn't happened with Larsen & Zee yet but there's a couple of pictures where Zee bottoms already.
