After last week's much welcomed uneventfulness, this one is proving the exact opposite. Multiple school visits, various goings-ons with my kids, and a particular tricky--albeit fun--sequence of Moonlit Spiral I'm struggling to color by the weekend in order to stay on schedule.
I did start noodling away at a simple little illustration on Sunday I might be able to finish up one of these nights. Depends on how well coloring work goes. But hopefully I'll have some new art to share by the end of the week.
Before that though, it's Timelapse Tuesday! Which I admittedly forgot about for a couple weeks but will do my best to return to. I posted this past Storm drawing to BlueSky over the weekend. The kind folks over there seemed to like it so thought it'd be fun to share the timelapse of it here.
I'm sharing the full timelapse this time because it's really short. Less than four minutes! Which I'd guesstimate must have been only about four hours of actual drawing time. If only I could always draw that fast! I think it helps that this doodle became fully realized almost immediately.
Added fun: Around the 2.5 minute mark, when I start laying down the background, a lot of flashing starts happening which makes for a neat and accidentally appropriate lightning effect.
Speaking of storms, incredibly thankful that we Floridians are avoiding another one as the once possible Hurricane Sara never became more than a tropical storm and will now dwindle to just a bit of rain and possibly even a small drizzle by the time it gently caresses the west coast of Florida sometime tonight or tomorrow. If we were gonna get yet another hurricane this season... well, I would have dealt. But I would have been very (yet politely) irate!
Anyhoo, have a pleasantly nice and hopefully dry autumn day!
