Happy Saturday, my friends! Here's a little illustration I started scribbling last weekend and finally got around to finishing up this morning. A simple little hiking adventure with the SBFF. Slowly starting to include Donna in these little slice-of-life pieces. 🙂

The vertical composition also screamed phone wallpaper to me, so here's another new set for you this month. Download below.

(Realize this drawing has more summertime feels than fall and wintertime ones, but maybe it'll warm you up each time you glance down at your phones.)

It was somewhat inspired by the 20 mile hike my wife and I went on last weekend--which was was wonderful! The weather was perfect and it was sooooo nice to get outdoors for almost an entire day. All in all, we made the trek in just under 7.5 hours, including a couple 10min breaks to fuel up and fill our water bottles. My legs were a little sore that night, but that passed quickly the next day. Would definitely do one again.

Today, however, it is much colder than that sunny and pleasant hiking day. 42 degrees here in Tampa this morning! I moved here for very specific reasons and that is not one of them. Very close to moving to South America. Haha.

Anyhow, have a great rest of the weekend! Stay warm!

Happy to see Donna being included in the SBFF fun. I love the backlighting. Gives it a wonderful warm feeling.

Kara, it's not much of a hike if you can leap tall buildings in a single bound...

Cowgirl hats on Donna are delightful. ❤

Thanks! I pushed myself with that. Maybe still could have gone a little darker. It's tough knowing where to land between realistic and readability.
