that was, 100%, a radiohead song, and you know they were high as shit when they thought that video up! lol also it came out in 2003, but it came to youtube in 08. man i was 11 when it came out, i know that there biggest work was the 90's though, i think 03 was after/ at there peak, i think OK COMPUTER was there peak, but man its been so long. NGL hearing this song i didn't think tony would like it since its a very monotonous song, not bad, just pretty much the same instrument songs for most of the song, narrowing down what tony likes only to have it blown open lol.

Red Menace

but i will say, the music is defiantly telling a story, like it feels like the music was made to match the music video rather than the opposite if it makes sense?

While the song may appear to be about a relationship that is falling apart, the song's real message is this: Beware the dangers of believing in illusions, no matter how tantalizing they may appear or how heady the heat of introduction may be. Hence the chorus, "Just cause you feel it, doesn't mean it's there." Chris Hopewell, who directed the song's stop-animated video, recalled to Q magazine April 2008 its filming: "Thom Yorke had an idea of being a character in one of the little stories you get in Bagpuss (A UK 1970s children's animated TV series about a cat). A cross between that and a Grimms fairy tale. Once I heard that, any idea of having people playing instruments or mouthing the lyrics went straight out of the window. I sent the band some postcards by a Victorian gentleman called Mr. Potter who had his own museum of stuffed animals in weird situations, like kittens at a wedding, and Thom loved it."

Radiohead is a band I only got into in 2024. They’re my favorite band and that is mostly because they sit just outside of the mainstream. Like enough to be dense and musically interesting but still so palatable that I can listen to them whenever I want. Music that is any MORE complex is always fun to listen to but isn’t as easily digestible, making me feel like I’m missing some of what is going on or that I’m not in the right mindset to listen all the time. Radiohead is comfort food.
