Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that drawing that forward hand in Akizuki is for quite me an achievement...?

<( ̄︶ ̄)>

This is one of those pretty technical things that most of the time can be boring to discuss if you don't know exactly what we're talking about or if you're just not interested in these small details.

For me this is as exciting as riding a burning roller coaster through the eye of a hurricane, so bear with me while I sperg about this...

( ノ✧ω✧)ノ

For me one of my great quests in arts is the be able to finally beat the plane. Creating the illusion of space in a plane limited by two dimensions is one of the most valued tricks in the arsenal of every artist, an art that can be mastered through certain mathematical laws and geometric trickery.

Though, for me, I have put aside all the more technical aspect of this technique and I have opted instead for a more organic and aesthetic aproach to achieve this result.

What does this all mean... (; ̄Д ̄) ?

Well, it means that since I am a total spoon to follow instructions I have decided to follow the less efficient method of struggling with the lines until things kind of look right enough.

Yeah, the old trial and error  method...ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Despite the fact that this technique may occasionally work, I prefer to recommend to young artists and friends interested in arts that a better approach will always be to understand perspective techniques and spend time studying how other artists do things.

Strong bases will avoid you a lot of headaches in the future, believe me... _:(´ཀ`」 ∠):_

So! in summary, I kind of like how I drew that hand, I think I'm improving with my perspective game. Big succes... °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

Hope you like this...!

Thanks for all the support.

I can relate, I'm not an artist but when I did draw for fun I could never get the hand correct not even when I was super into it. Great job by the way

Yeah, hands are one of the most complicated parts to draw, it is difficult enough to draw them normally and even more with weird perspectives...XD By the way drawing for fun is something like 80% of what a real artist does, if you enjoy it, keep it up...!
